I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

The food truck is located inside a food truck plaza with plenty of options nearby and ample outdoor seating with picnic tables. This particular food truck had a long line, which made the wait to order a bit lengthy. However, it was well worth it. The woman taking orders was incredibly kind and bubbly, which added to the overall experience. After ordering, the food took about 20 minutes to come out, but I did not mind since the sandwiches ended up being really good. The sandwiches were flavorful and very filling. The scotch egg was nicely fried and crispy on the outside with a soft gyoza stuffing filling. My only wish is that it was a bit easier to eat and that it had more seasoning as the gyoza filling was a bit bland and the egg smaller than I thought it was be. But overall pretty tasty and definitely worth trying. I'll have to come back and try their OG Tokyo Nando sandwich.

Anyway this is of course more about the food. I ordered fried chicken plate- which came more of chicken fingers. Which I do not mind. The plate comes with fries (or in this case more like chips) a salad and two dips. Salad - well don't really expect a salad it's a bunch of shredded lettuce nothing else! The chicken for my taste was about do dry just a did overdone. It tasted great especially with the curry mayonnaise (one of the dips). But the star of that plate have been the fries - cut as chips it was clear they are home made and so delicious. It was perfect to dip in both sauces. Would I come back - yes I would not drive over but if I am close i would stop to eat there. I would take the sandwich tho to have not that excuse of a salad on the plate lol. If the sandwich doesn't come with fries I would definitely get a side of them. Maybe I would even drive for the fries tbh there have been that good. One star goes away since the chicken which is the main was slightly overdone - and again thanks to the owner great guy.
