I had Rock Solid install quartz countertops in our kitchen recently. I am the kind of person who takes his time and does a lot of research before buying goods or services. Initially I was planning on using Home Depot or Lowes, but not getting the chance to talk to the installers directly bothered me and I wanted a more personal touch. I went with Rock Solid based on internet reviews and I am glad I did. Zach M. is knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and answered all my questions promptly. His brother and father-in-law were friendly and helpful as well when I interacted with them in the store or by phone. I am a fairly fussy customer, more discriminating than the average, and so it was important to find a shop that listened. Estimates were given promptly and accurately. Measurements were taken correctly and the installers came in as scheduled and did the job professionally. They were also very friendly and cleaned up after the job. The kitchen looks great compared to the previous countertops. We also had them put in an under-mount sink and it turned out great as well. Minor issues were addressed with follow up visits promptly. These guys are professional, friendly, willing to listen to the needs of the customer and although I have not used them for any warranty work yet, based on my interactions so far, I am fairly confident that they will stand by their product and service if any issue were to arise in the future. I have since had these guys install a quartz countertop in our master bath. Same excellent service. I strongly recommend them!! read more

Unfortunately I listened to Zach and his salesman schitck at Rock Solid. What Zach sold me on and what they delivered are 2 significantly different things. They were going to carefully remove the current tile counters and backsplashes we had, patch the drywall and then put in granite that would need a little caulk and paint touch-up by us. He forgot to say that they would leave gaping holes in the drywall and then attempt to cover it up by standing the granite backsplashes on the counter top with basically nothing behind them other the a few pieces of dry wall they didn't damage in ripping the tile out. Oh and they managed to also not remove electric switch plates that were close to the tile and break them while demolishing the tile. No wonder they called this part "demolition" - they wanted to demolish our home. Not to mention that the granite that was supposed to go up to the window sills and mirrors has a 1/4 to 3/8" gap. Very disgusted with myself that we got taken in by the sales schpell that they didn't follow through on. I would definitely NOT recommend using these folks. I do have to admit that the granite itself is beautiful once we have patched the walls and filled the gaps where there should have been granite below the window sill and mirror. It's just so frustrating that it doesn't fit correctly and we had to do all this work they were supposed to do... read more

Rock Solid provided us with an exceptional experience from beginning to end. It started with their website, which provides lots of good information, including a description of the process they use with every customer. Our first meeting with Jake was informative...and we found that they actually follow their process! Throughout our experience, we found that Rock Solid communicated clearly and then followed through promptly and professionally. We always knew what to expect and our expectation were always met. Our installation occurred on time and was done expertly. Customer service from Jake and his entire team was incredible. Our granite slab had a "factory" flaw which we found after installation; when I called Rock Solid, Jake came out to inspect it and fix it himself. We have been really impressed with the impeccable workmanship, the incredible customer service and the entire experience with Rock Solid. Rock Solid Custom Granite did a phenomenal and AMAZING job with the installation of my very large granite job. They installed one large sink area, another smaller upper counter, two smaller counter tops, and very large 4' x 8' island granite top that they had to cut a hole in for my drop-in cafe gas range top. Wow, wish I could give these folks less than one star! We had a neighbor recommend this company and I read other reviews on Yelp before deciding to have this company do a couple of granite counters for us. We sure wish we had used someone else. The granite itself is great but the incorrect measurements they did left gaps where the granite should but up and touch edges, it doesn't on the job we received. The tear out of out counters and installation was HORRIBLE. Not sure if they're using different guys of the crew or they have just gotten sloppy and do crappy work. We definitely would recommend using someone else besides this company. We sure wise we had and it's not like we're going to be able to replace the crap they did. We're stuck living with it and working on it ourselves to make it half way decent. read more

We are doing a full house remodel, and have seen the good, bad and ugly when it comes to hiring contractors. Our kitchen remodel was our biggest project, and the granite had to be just right. I chose a gorgeous leathered granite, but after the cabinets were installed we realised the granite would be too dark, busy, and just not right for what we were trying to achieve. Zach helped us to get the granite changed, and worked with us to find the perfect stone. Rock Solid had it shipped, fabricated, and installed in a timely manner, and Zach communicated well throughout. He was always very responsive on email if I had questions. I just had a great experience with Rock Solid. They were very profession, quick to respond and offered great customer service. We ran into a snag with another company and our job wasn't going to be able to be completed within the time frame we originally scheduled so we could move into our new home. When I called Craig he jumped on getting me quotes and ensuring the Quartz Products we wanted were available as well as scheduled us very quickly for template and install. We had a great experience with Rock Solid and enjoyed working directly with the owner in the selection process. He was very responsive. Their remnant yard had the best remnants that we could find after visiting 3 other yards in the metro area. The fabricators and installers worked on all the details to make sure that all 5 vanities that they installed for us looked perfect. Everyone was easy to work with and when we decided to add on to our project, they were able to accommodate our unique and special requests. Wonderful!!! From the first contact through installation, this company has been fantastic. They made the process easy. I initially contacted them through email. Zach responded quickly. He provided a quote and gave us a list of granite wholesalers they deal with. We were able to take our time choosing the slab. He never pressured us! The installers were fantastic. They were on time (rare in the construction business) and didn't mess around. They had the granite installed quickly, but took the time to make it look perfect. Our countertops are beautiful. I have to disagree with Nathan R. below. We had one of those difficult installs with an unusual garden window backing in to our sink. When the granite was installed, we were not happy with the way it looked around the window. The installers helped brainstorm ideas based on their expertise. Zach worked with us to insure that we were happy. I really feel like Rock Solid stood behind their work and made good on their promises. If you have an easy project, great- they will do well for you. If you have an unusual install, pick these guys- when something goes upside down, they are reasonable and easy to deal with. read more

I was very pleased with how quickly and smoothly the whole process went, from picking out the granite to the installation. Any questions I had were answered promptly. I added a bar height counter onto the island and Don, the fellow that came out to measure, was very helpful in making suggestions to make it look good. It all came out fantastic. We just had our granite and soapstone installed. It looks great. We tried two other places and did not have the great customer service we had with Rock Solid. It was like walking into to a great friends place. I'm actually shocked there is a bad review on here. We were treated better than any other place we went to. The turn around was fantastic.
