I contacted three Durango-based fence builders for an estimate on a post + top rail fence with…read morewoven wire walls for our back yard, and Brothers delivered the best estimate and availability. Once I chose Brothers, the operations manager came by to look at and mark the terrain and discuss a start date. The crew actually began work a day early, worked 10 hours, and was 95% finished in one day. They came back the next morning to finish up and spent extra time and effort tightening the woven wire and closing gaps that were created by shallow ravines in the challenging sloped terrain. The crew was friendly and approachable throughout, and did a good job explaining how they planned to solve any problem caused by trees and terrain. Two thumbs and three paws up -- my wife and I are very happy with the great-looking fence Brothers built for us, and our dogs are smiling about their new playground.

Colorado Stonescapes did an absolutely amazing job with my front landscape project. The owner,…read moreFerrol, is a consummate professional and not only oversaw all aspects of the project but also was directly involved with the work on all aspects of the project. He was punctual throughout the entire process, he remained on budget, and exceeded our expectations in terms of design and outcome. Ferrol took our original rough plan for the project and added his own touches based on his artistic abilities. He also made very insightful recommendations regarding the practicality of our plant choices and the use of other hardscape elements in our design. Ferrol is meticulous in his work and the outcome speaks for itself. Simply looking at our yard reveals that someone who really cares completed the project. Ferrol personally chose which elements would be placed at specific locations and when they did not meet his standards in terms of aesthetics, he reworked them until things were ideal. With Colorado Stonescapes you get an amazing value: detailed-oriented work with an eye for artistic design. Overall, I cannot recommend Colorado Stonescapes highly enough. Ferrol and his team are my first choice when it comes to landscape design and creation. The three words that best describe their work are: Professional, Meticulous, and Artistic. If you have a landscape project to undertake, do yourself a favor and have Colorado Stonescapes perform the work.

I brought in engineering professionals, and they told me the wall was never built correctly and showed no engineering design behind it. A word of caution to anyone considering this company: Ferrol is not a licensed engineer. If your project involves retaining walls, make sure a licensed engineer is part of the design. I learned that the hard way. For the record, Ferrol did not receive his final payment because the job was never completed.
