This little gem is located right next LA Fitness and right off I-45. Great location for anyone living in the Spring/Woodlands area. We started off with an Asahi beer and edamame. Great flavor. We ordered the spicy but got the regular one instead. That's okay it was still delicious. We came on a Tuesday night so they had a special buy one get one free. I ordered the thriller. It had a nice fried flavor with tuna and crab. Very delicious and very fresh. We also ordered the Rainbow. It had a beautiful presentation. This was a raw roll with yellow tail. tuna, and salmon with avocado. It also came with a little cucumber inside. It was so fresh and filling. We sat at the bar which is a fully stocked bar. Several tables and booths. There was also a family there celebrating a birthday. So it can be family friendly. We'll be back. read more

For chain sushi it's pretty good. I liked the unplugged roll. It's light and refreshing and fresh!! It would have been nice to have some spice to it but I still enjoyed it. Great for lunch and will fill you up for hours without leaving you feeling overly full and sluggish. read more

I really like their Ginger Salad because it's creamy, sweet and full of ginger. I like this dish best of all. The Headbanger shrimp was plump and crispy. The Boston Roll's rice was not as good as it was when I came here last. The Metallica Roll was okay, though the shrimp was thin in comparison to their other shrimp dishes. Their other shrimp dishes usually turn out well because they're plump and fried. The fish is okay here. The filet mignon tasted fine last time. I didn't really like the fried rice but heard some people loved it. The lettuce and wild greens here are always crispy and fresh. There were no limp pieces anywhere. read more

Just finished eating here and it was delish!! We got a rainbow roll for an app during happy hour. I ordered chicken hibachi and the portion size was very good. My boyfriend got an egg roll, fried rice with chicken, and a California roll. He loved his as well, but the egg roll was his favorite part. We had plenty leftover to take home too. First time here. Our server was on her first day, and she did an amazing job!!! Their GM stopped by and visited our table, very professional, seemed like a good dude. The bartender seemed to be struggling, I wouldn't expect him to be working here much longer. Gabby was our server, she rocks. The crab wontons are amazing, the side salad they bring you is crazy good with its house made dressing, I had the Hibachi Chicken, it was excellent, I am on Keto and I noticed it had a stir fry sauce on it that was likely sugar/carb loaded, so make sure to get it on the side. They had no issues holding the rice and bringing extra veggies to accommodate the Keto Craze. Wife had the Cindy Lauper roll, very good. Overall this place will probably surprise you, give it a try. The service was unremarkable and the food was underwhelming. Their ambiance was the only reason it got more than one star - I like rock videos. The salad was a handful of lettuce with some miso sauce. The hibachi stir fry was way too salty - as was the sushi rolls. That's right. The sushi was salty. I may be spoiled by Las Vegas foods, but I will not go back nor will I recommend this place. read more

It's a no for me. I'm no sushi snob but I could not stomach the sushi here. I was MAD that I spent $32 on two inedible rolls. I assumed bc they were pricey they would be pretty good, NOPE. They had some kind of weird before and after taste like a sauce that's been refrigerated too long, kind of mix of freezer burnt and spoiled. It looked amazing though. Awesome sushi place yes indeed. My First time here at Rock & Roll Sushi and it was great. I believe I had Axle Roll sushi and it was delicious with a side of fried rice. The place has a bar which is where I sat and greeted by Jason one of the bartenders there gave me a menu recommendation which was the Axle Roll. Really friendly service. The place itself very nice and clean not too big of a place but not too small either, for me it was just right even had some tv screens playing some cool semi classic tunes. Will definitely be coming back to try some more menu items. Keep up the good work guys read more

I have mixed feelings. The prices are great and the combinations are interesting but the "tempura" fried items inside the sushi have a super hard and crunchy texture that I hate. I liked the topping on kiss roll but not the sushi. The California roll and the ZZ top roll were decent. I likely will not return just because I'm looking for a different kind of sushi with less crunchiness and less sauces and more complex combinations. read more

Their sushi tastes amazing. I ordered the chilli peppers roll and the thriller role and was very impressed! My husband got two classics and liked them too! Overall quality of the food is great! We went there for lunch and the place got crowded and they were taking forever to come to us to take our order. So I was feeling very frustrated, but then the waiter gave us complementary appetizer for being late and all my frustrations went away :). He said I can pick any one of the appetizers and it will be in the house. We took the crab puff and it tasted so amazing! Also I was telling him I had to get back to work soon, and he made an extra effort to get our orders prepared soon. We tried here for lunch for the first time the other day, and it was meh. The fried wontons and the sweet tea were good and then the sushi didn't sit well with me afterwards. They only had one waitress taking care of everybody. Besides that, the wait to be seated took a really long time. I don't think we will be going here again. read more

The server himself was very kind and a pleasure to chat with. Friendly staff and clean appearance, also adequate seating, each table about 4 people max.. The food was not impressive, unfortunately. The salmon sashimi (4pc) was really cheap, therefore tasted insanely cheap. Coppery taste. I got the VIP Roll (most popular) and the toppings drowned the actual sushi, the crawfish had a very fishy/dirty taste. The filet mignon was request cooked medium well, it was cooked all the way through. Fried rice was super sweet and mushy? Miso soup was good though. read more

Don't look any further! This rock n roll sushi joint totally ROCKS. Not only is the decor freaking amazing and the touch of music videos from the 80s, but the sushi itself is absolutely heaven in your mouth. The sauce, the crunch, the way each flavor pairs well with each other makes you want to go back again and again. They have happy hour Monday thru Saturday, drinks are $2 off and are made like how they should taste, no skimping or watered down alcoholic beverages! Our waiter was very nice and attentive as well. I can see this place getting crowded on a weekend night but during the week there was no crowd and food was served pretty quickly. Overall, I will come back until I've tried their entire menu! Maybe I'm just a foodie, but I'm used to chunky crab rangoons. When I saw the rangoons, they were so thin! Not much filling at all. I also got some California rolls and simple is an understatement. I guess you get what you pay for. There were eight rolls and they tasted fine. I heard many good things about this restaurant so just satisfactory food was quite disappointing. I must add that I ordered my food. Maybe the quality of delivered food just isn't the same as eating it in person. Either way, I can't be taking chances during an epidemic. I'll keep searching for a good sushi restaurant that delivers! read more

The flavors are always fresh and spot on. They even made me an unagidon, even though it wasn't on the menu. I know it's a chain, but the vibe from the employees doesn't feel corporate and impersonal. I ordered the Miso soup which was delicious but took 15 minutes to come out which is long for a soup appetizer. I ordered the Alfredito roll when I received my soup. It wasn't served until 30 minutes after I arrived. (I was in the service industry for many years so I'm probably more sensitive to timing than most.) I will say the roll was fantastic! The taste was fresh, creamy with a hint of afterburn. The restaurant was clean, however, the music was a bit loud for Sunday lunch. I'll be back for the food and hopefully the service will be a little better as I see in other reviews it was good.

Super duper long pause, followed by a soft spoken yes. Well, my favorite place in Memphis is also Chinese owned. I think many of the Japanese restaurants are. Ah well.
