This restaurant was disappointing. The food I ordered looked nothing like the pictures that were advertised. The steak was not cooked well, and the rice was not actually fried. It seemed like they simply mixed soy sauce into plain rice and called it fried rice. I also ordered the tuna, but it was so underwhelming that I ended up taking it home and searing it myself to make it more enjoyable. The one highlight of the meal was the soup it was excellent and easily the best part of the experience. Because of that, I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1. This time I got the spicy shrimp roll, and it definitely hit fresh and flavorful. I've also had the California roll before and another roll I can't remember the name of, but those were really good too. The fried rice, though, was a bit disappointing. I ordered the chicken fried rice, and the chicken itself was really bland with almost no flavor. I ended up adding soy sauce to the whole thing, which helped, but it still wasn't anything special. We came back on 6/19/2025 (late review) and STILL love this place! The food and service was still amazing! We always come here, but this is my first time reviewing, and I just had to! The food like always was on point, perfectly cooked, perfectly served, and tasted amazing. We got the Appetizer Sampler and the Headbanger shrimp as a starter, then for the main we got the baked VIP Roll and the Salmon, Yellowtail, and Eel sashimi with a bowl of white rice. My god!! Everything satisfied us. But the cherry on top, was the service. We got Michaela (Miki? I hope I spelled your nickname right!) as a waiter! First, they have a Tuesday special which is really good. Buy a "headliner roll" and get a "classic roll" free. We like this special. The rolls were good and tasty. The service was REALLY lacking though. They were not busy either. Just 2 other tables had customers. My daughter ran out of water half way through our meal. We could not get the waitress to stop talking to her co worker and look up at us so we could get her attention. She never came back to check on us either. There's not many sushi options in this part of town, and I will say the location is the major draw for me, which is how I initially found myself here with another. Being located on the feeder is super convenient. This place exudes a unique fun rock and roll theme going on. Along with booths, there's bar seating available. I have very mixed feelings about this place, having been here on multiple occasions when craving some raw fish. It does have a few strong points. It's got a cool interesting non Japanese vibe. Service is fairly quick, and the food always comes out super quickly, so it's great for a fast meal. As for the food itself, it's been pretty hit or miss. They definitely serve only American style rolls, and they lack variety when it comes to fish options. There's five sashimi and nigiri options. I always order the ahi tuna salad, comprised of a nice portion of ahi tuna and mixed greens topped with a ample amount of cucumber, along with sliced avocado and strawberries. Make sure to ask for the creamy ginger dressing. It's much better than the sweet chili option that we were once served. I always enjoy a spider roll, and their version is just okay. It could definitely use more crab. Their unplugged roll is their version of a rice-less roll. Interesting idea, using cucumber in place of rice and seaweed, but the roll falls apart with even the slightest bit of handling. They do offer lunch specials and a select food happy hour, so that is a nice touch. On my last visit, the booth I was sitting on was shifting and sliding around on the floor when the person in the booth behind me was leaving. That was a first for me. First things first we went on a Wednesday night and it was raining pretty hard outside so when we came inside, there was maybe 12 people that were actually patrons and the rest were staff which was good we seated ourselves. It took approximately seven minutes before a server approached the table Asked us what we would like to drink, but did not bring us any menus so we had to ask for a menu. We ordered two bottles of sake and an order of egg rolls to start. In the meantime we asked if they had any of the beers on draft And the specific one that we asked for she said that they didn't have. Then, after researching the menu, we found out that they actually in fact, did have it, so we ordered beer. The server seemed not knowledgeable of the menu. We received our eggrolls that were good love the sauce that came with them. They were hot and crunchy then came the actual sushi itself for the price not bad the fact that they don't use real. Crab is a little disturbing, but again you're paying for I guess the experience of being in this cool atmosphere with great music playing in the background , the bartender seem to pay a little more attention to us than our own server and the sushi was OK again it's not any place that I would never go again besides the fact that the service was not as far as I'm concerned up to par. Make sure that you're reading the menu of what's going on everything because as for the server that we had, she didn't know shit about the menu Was good. It came out fresh again a little unappealing with the fake crab meat but you pay for what you got. I would definitely give it a try especially if you just want something quick and you want sushi but I would never take anybody there that wasn't a close friend. There are some things that make this a good joint, but not sure I'd pick it again for sushi alone. The concept is cool - rock n roll themed menu and décor. But the booths move - so every time someone gets up or in they are shifting which was really annoying. The food also comes out super fast, so if you're in a hurry then it's a perfect spot to grab some food. The dishes I had (seaweed salad, twisted tuna, Jam Shesh Roll, and Unplugged) were mediocre at best. The seaweed salad was mostly lettuce and just a bit of seaweed. I had to dig around to grab the bites I could find. The twisted tuna and rolls were decent, but covered in way too much sauce - you could barley taste the fish, which is why I get sushi. I tried to find rolls that didn't have fried bits or weren't cooked as well, but this is most defiantly "American" sushi. So if that's your thing, you'll probably like it more than I did. read more

I ordered on door dash as I was craving sushi and it had been a while since I've had it. This place was close and figured I'd try it! The doordash menu doesnt explain much. I had to call in to find out how many pieces for a shashimi order. It would help if the menu listed that information. I ordered 3 types of shashimi and 1 roll with a seaweed salad, my boyfriend ordered 3 types of nigiri (2 pieces each but we though it would be 1 because at the time he hadn't asked the lady on the phone how many pieces for nigiri, we figured that out later) I was doing carry out and my order was expected to be ready in 20 minutes which was nice because I was starving. When i got there, they had everything on a party tray, ginger and wasabi already and a bag with my seaweed salad and utencils (for 4 people) I enjoyed the chili roll alot, super crunchy with the tempora inside! The shashimi was room temp so it wasnt as enjoyable if it were sitting on some ice, but its to go so no worries.
