Just had the absolute worst experience at this location. We sat down and server immediately acted aggravated, she sprayed the table all over with a cleaner, which proceeded to get in my mouth and in my nose, I let this slide, I ordered the ginger salad with extra ginger dressing, the same thing I've ordered for years, she brings out a salad with crab meat and cucumbers, when she finally decided to come back to the table I told her that I ordered the ginger salad she said no you didn't, I said yes I've ordered the same thing for years she proceeded to argue and get louder which made me get loud, this is not in my character, so I told her Never-mind we would just leave. She was the absolute rudest server I've ever dealt with. It is my first time eating here, and I have to say I was blown away. I got the Jimi Hendrix roll, made a substitution and got tuna instead of the tempura shrimp, the roll consisted of tuna, avocado (I think maybe cuke) cream cheese, w fresh mango, sweet chili sauce and eel sauce on top! Out of this world. Soooo good. This is a small hole in the wall w tons to look at. The walls has a rock n roll theme, duh, w cool murals and the menus are made if old record sleeves ( great idea). First time review...100 times visited! This place is my go-to for their custom rolls that pay homage to traditional sushi but venture out into the new world a little. The atmosphere is always nice. My kids LOVE this place and keep begging me to take them back. Today (see pics) we had some edamame appetizer, a California Roll, the Beatles Roll and the Metallica Roll. First time here, pleasantly surprised based on the 3 stars this place has! Service was friendly and speedy, stopped in for some sushi on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded. This place isn't very large though, so I can see where it would be hard to find a place to sit if it's busy. The sushi had great flavor! We ordered the Michael Jackson roll, Def Leppard roll and roll of the classic menu (spider roll). YUM! Maybe because both the hubs and I lean towards rolls with spicy mayo and eel sauce but dang it had all the flavor I could ever want. The spider roll is more like a tarantula roll because it was HUGE as far as roll diameter is concerned, but still tasty none the less. We also ordered a side of fried rice with yum yum sauce and the fried rice was surprisingly good, I think it has a seasoning that gives it an extra umph! Finally, the vibe of this place is cool. Not a typical Japanese restaurant. This place was so fun to eat at. The decorations and theme was all about Rock n Roll. Event the sushi names on the menu were related to Rock N Roll. It was nice and different to walk into a sushi place with a theme. The description of each roll were mouth watering. It is as good as its described. Their food were fresh and and full of flavor. Food: most of the menu was pretty much cream cheese, fried, & covered in a sauce! So I had a difficult time choosing what to order. Ordered spicy tuna sashimi salad; not bad. Would order again with less sriracha. But they should just replace the bed of spring mix with more cucumbers and avocados! Definitely spicy. Ordered "crispy crab wontons," it definitely doesn't look like the picture on their website. I didn't try it, but my friends enjoyed it. Happy hour for 5 pieces for $5. Ordered "Bama Roll" (happy hour $8) way too much cream cheese and tasted okay; wouldn't order again. Best sushi I have had in awhile. The rolls did not fall apart like most places I've been. I would highly recommend there Michael Jackson rolls, they are really good!! The serve was really nice and always made sure we were good with drinks and everything else. Very small place so would not recommend a big group but definitely the best place around!!!! read more

So we got here at 11 am on Sunday. The waitress took our order and disappeared. WE waited...and waited...and waited. Finally at noon, as we were walking towards the door, she stopped us and told us the ovens weren't on. My 2 Jimi Hendrix rolls were topped with the worst looking mango. The slices of mango were so chopped up and thick on one end and thin on the other. The cream cheese inside the roll was really thick on one end and almost none on the other end. This place claims to be the best sushi in Mobile but that has to be a joke. My sister came to visit from GA. I was excited to take her out to dinner at Rock N Roll Sushi. It turned out to be a horrible experience. When we walked in we noticed trash on the floor. We were seated and the table still had food and some sort of liquid on it from the previous customers seated there. It took 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. We had a large group that stopped by to have a celebration for something that happened at work. The location is cozy (smallish), and so the staff was not prepared for our group (about 15). We overwhelmed the staff by being there, but they actually called a couple other folks in to handle the load. The staff was friendly and helped our large group as best they could. Best sushi in town for sure! The su chefs are amazing and always get your order right, the waitresses are fun and on top of their tables, and the food is absolutely delicious! I was craving sushi one night after work and this place is down the street from my house. Good location, very nice waitress inside. They made the rolls quickly. That's where the compliments end. The quality of the rolls were very poor, they just didn't look "pretty" or uniform and were priced very high for what I received. Then, 30 minutes after I ate, I got very very sick and was stationed in the bathroom for a few hours. $30 is a steal for food poisoning, I guess. read more
