This was a first time takeout meal for me. Sushi was great and I will definitely be back to sample more.

Just had the absolute worst experience at this location. We sat down and server immediately acted aggravated, she sprayed the table all over with a cleaner, which proceeded to get in my mouth and in my nose, I let this slide, I ordered the ginger salad with extra ginger dressing, the same thing I've ordered for years, she brings out a salad with crab meat and cucumbers, when she finally decided to come back to the table I told her that I ordered the ginger salad she said no you didn't, I said yes I've ordered the same thing for years she proceeded to argue and get louder which made me get loud, this is not in my character, so I told her Never-mind we would just leave. She was the absolute rudest server I've ever dealt with. Ownership please reconsider this young ladies employment, someone like this should not be representing your business especially it being a smaller franchise. read more

Friendliest location in the Mobile Area and best sushi maker I ever had and servers are willing to suggest a roll I would like

Had a great time with my young man enjoying miso soup, boom boom shrimp, cucumber salad, and the Journey roll. (The roll was my fave and had a fruity flavor) On past visits I have enjoyed the Motley Crew roll and it's my favorite of all time! I'll be back soon - love the convenient location! read more

It is my first time eating here, and I have to say I was blown away. I got the Jimi Hendrix roll, made a substitution and got tuna instead of the tempura shrimp, the roll consisted of tuna, avocado (I think maybe cuke) cream cheese, w fresh mango, sweet chili sauce and eel sauce on top! Out of this world. Soooo good. This is a small hole in the wall w tons to look at. The walls has a rock n roll theme, duh, w cool murals and the menus are made if old record sleeves ( great idea). The employees were super nice, and clean, place over all was amazing. I'd give this place 5/5 for overall experience, looks, cleanliness, comfort, flavor and taste! Thanks Sarah you were a great server! read more

First time review...100 times visited! This place is my go-to for their custom rolls that pay homage to traditional sushi but venture out into the new world a little. The atmosphere is always nice. My kids LOVE this place and keep begging me to take them back. Today (see pics) we had some edamame appetizer, a California Roll, the Beatles Roll and the Metallica Roll. Each was delicious in it's own unique way. Love Rock n Roll Sushi! Will continue to come back! read more

First time here, pleasantly surprised based on the 3 stars this place has! Service was friendly and speedy, stopped in for some sushi on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded. This place isn't very large though, so I can see where it would be hard to find a place to sit if it's busy. The sushi had great flavor! We ordered the Michael Jackson roll, Def Leppard roll and roll of the classic menu (spider roll). YUM! Maybe because both the hubs and I lean towards rolls with spicy mayo and eel sauce but dang it had all the flavor I could ever want. The spider roll is more like a tarantula roll because it was HUGE as far as roll diameter is concerned, but still tasty none the less. We also ordered a side of fried rice with yum yum sauce and the fried rice was surprisingly good, I think it has a seasoning that gives it an extra umph! Finally, the vibe of this place is cool. It's just as the name said, rock n roll and sushi! Will definitely be back. read more

Not a typical Japanese restaurant. This place was so fun to eat at. The decorations and theme was all about Rock n Roll. Event the sushi names on the menu were related to Rock N Roll. It was nice and different to walk into a sushi place with a theme. The description of each roll were mouth watering. It is as good as its described. Their food were fresh and and full of flavor. The rice in the sushi were cooked perfectly. The only thing was that I wish they would serve clear soup. The service was great. The sushi were good. read more

Terrible location. They are supposed to close at 9. If you walk in at 8:20 they will not serve you because they have are "closed" the kitchen down. Terrible workers and terrible business. read more

The rolls here rock. Rock-n-Roll Sushi puts a cool new twist on traditional rolls, adding special touches (like topping them with steak or jalapeños!) and then naming them after famous bands. You'll order rolls like the Michael Jackson, the Heart, the Guns 'n Roses, and more--all from menus creatively fashioned from old album covers. The atmosphere reflects the name with cymbals and drum sets affixed to the walls. I had the Heart (baked) and liked it slightly better than the fried Michael Jackson. The wantons are fairly standard but equally delicious. Friendly staff. Meals can be pricey, depending on the rolls selected. read more

Not much variety non the menu, also when our sushi came out the rice was mushy and chewy like

First timer here. Service: Employees aren't really friendly & they do look sad - as a previous Yelper reviewer! Not a welcoming place. But as a server - made sure we were okay. Food: most of the menu was pretty much cream cheese, fried, & covered in a sauce! So I had a difficult time choosing what to order. Ordered spicy tuna sashimi salad; not bad. Would order again with less sriracha. But they should just replace the bed of spring mix with more cucumbers and avocados! Definitely spicy. Ordered "crispy crab wontons," it definitely doesn't look like the picture on their website. I didn't try it, but my friends enjoyed it. Happy hour for 5 pieces for $5. Ordered "Bama Roll" (happy hour $8) way too much cream cheese and tasted okay; wouldn't order again. Personally, I would not go back to this place because of sushi rolls & unfriendly business. read more

Best sushi I have had in awhile. The rolls did not fall apart like most places I've been. I would highly recommend there Michael Jackson rolls, they are really good!! The serve was really nice and always made sure we were good with drinks and everything else. Very small place so would not recommend a big group but definitely the best place around!!!! read more

I liked the album menus, thought it went along great with the theme. Bought the MJ &Motley Crew rolls, each tasted great. Server was friendly and I didn't have to wait long to get my food. The place is a little small, but it was inviting. The only complaint would be the temperature. ...I was freezing, but I would refer friends to stop in for sure! read more

So we got here at 11 am on Sunday. The waitress took our order and disappeared. WE waited...and waited...and waited. Finally at noon, as we were walking towards the door, she stopped us and told us the ovens weren't on. They took care of the bill but the fact we waited so long without a word about why, we will not be going back. The music was the only reason we stayed as long as we did. They weren't busy, but now we know why. read more

First, the food tasted amazing. I personally recommend their crowd surfing roll. However, their sashimi is paper thin so you get almost nothing for your money. Also, they messed up two of our orders. Overall, I felt it was way overpriced and left less than impressed. Probably won't be back. read more

Ordered takeout, spent $70.00. Got home and the sushi was a complete mess. Rolling Stone roll had the toppings that were supposed to be on my Metallica roll. My 2 Jimi Hendrix rolls were topped with the worst looking mango. The slices of mango were so chopped up and thick on one end and thin on the other. The cream cheese inside the roll was really thick on one end and almost none on the other end. This place claims to be the best sushi in Mobile but that has to be a joke. Sushi is an art form and this looked like a complete mess with the taste of more mush. Low class waitress said it looked okay to her. What a joke. read more

Went in a few weeks ago for lunch, and two employees were yelling from the kitchen to the bar about their personal lives. Wasn't very professional so I left after being asked from across the place "what I wanted". read more

Sushi was good. It wasn't the best I've had, and it might be personal preference, but it was good. I had to try the best seller (MJ Roll) and it was good but I'm not much on fried rolls. I also had the Titanic Roll and I liked it more, it tasted more fresh and less fried. Overall, I will go back again to try other rolls. For both rolls and water as my drink, I paid $28.50. read more

Took my wife on a date here today!!! There were only a few people there. Ordered a ton a sushi. Hour later the restaurant is full and everyone is eating but us. Told us they forgot to make our food. Wtf!!! Don't ever eat here! This place needs a manager!!! Also made us pay for our meso soup before we walked out!!! So ridiculous, waitress didn't even say we will make it asap, make it to go, all she said was I don't even know what y'all ordered. Ruined our date and blew my mind. read more

My sister came to visit from GA. I was excited to take her out to dinner at Rock N Roll Sushi. It turned out to be a horrible experience. When we walked in we noticed trash on the floor. We were seated and the table still had food and some sort of liquid on it from the previous customers seated there. It took 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. The water they brought my sister looked dirty, it wasn't clear like it had a little coke mixed with it. Anyway we left. Horrible experience read more

We had a large group that stopped by to have a celebration for something that happened at work. The location is cozy (smallish), and so the staff was not prepared for our group (about 15). We overwhelmed the staff by being there, but they actually called a couple other folks in to handle the load. The staff was friendly and helped our large group as best they could. I was impressed- they did an amazing job considering the circumstances! The food was good, and our group had plenty of laughs, food, and drink. I think I will come back! read more

Awesome food...fast service. .our waitress Sarah D was wonderful and efficient. I had the tuna tataki to start with a cucumber salad. Both were delicious - light, flavorful just excellent! I normally loveeeee RR sushi. And I still do I love their other locations especially the one by mcgregor that one is my favorite but this location my sushi was hard and had bits that were inedible in it and the waitress was very unfriendly and failed to really do her job by properly explaining things prices etc. and made me feel like she just wanted to hurry up and gr us out will not be returning to this location read more

Food is great. Service is good fir the most part except the short waitress talks way too much. Tonight heard her mention how much a customer had to drink in reference to her size across the restaurant. I'm sure it was terribly embarrassing to the customer. Could lead to customers going to other sushi joints. Same lady also made a big deal about a customer who's drivers license was expired where everyone in the place could hear. Quite embarrassing for the lady who was clearly over 35 years. read more

Had a go order last night. The 3 rolls were good but was shocked to see that the Miso soup comes straight from a brown paper package that was added to hot water! This was prepared right in front of me...didn't even bother going to the back to do this. I think they were overpriced to begin with but this blew me away. Last time for me. read more

Best sushi in town for sure! The su chefs are amazing and always get your order right, the waitresses are fun and on top of their tables, and the food is absolutely delicious! The best sushi in Mobile for a very affordable price. I am so happy to have finally found a place that doesn't skimp on the fish and overload on the rice. The sushi here is filling for all the right reasons, which is why I plan on visiting often. I usually get the tuna with avocado roll, and it is absolutely delicious! read more

I was craving sushi one night after work and this place is down the street from my house. Good location, very nice waitress inside. They made the rolls quickly. That's where the compliments end. The quality of the rolls were very poor, they just didn't look "pretty" or uniform and were priced very high for what I received. Then, 30 minutes after I ate, I got very very sick and was stationed in the bathroom for a few hours. $30 is a steal for food poisoning, I guess. read more

Great quality. Michael Jackson roll was delicious. Not eight pieces or so I thought. Went back for a Togo order later the same day for a Micheal jackson roll for someone else. When they opened the box, i discovered my lunch was short three sections. Called and still waiting on someone to call back and didn't offer to remake the roll. Okay but not consistent. Won't return. Pamela the waitress was nice = 2 stars! read more

Okay quality. Spicy mayo was not spicy or the correct color...? Less amount of rolls for more money than other places.
