I have purchased 1/4 gravel from them twice when my landscaper didn't order enough to level my yard in preparation for synthetic grass. They saved our hides being opened on a weekend! From the front office to the gentleman on the loader, I had great conversation with everyone. This morning, I went to ask if they would sell me a box of River Rock for a painting project. Because the weight would be so little, they didn't charge me for it! If you want to politely call them and explain what happened to the manager in the hopes they may offer you some sort of restitution and they give you an attitude and say "sorry, we helped you by not dumping it all in the street because it was a lot of rock" (24 tons), then use Rock N Roll. If you're a woman and want to be treated rudely by the man who is the manager, use Rock N Roll. If you're like me and have given them your business in the past and it worked out so you are confident the second time will also be a good experience, BEWARE. read more

Same complaint as several other 1 star reviews: Very poor customer service by the company owners. I paid in advance for an order, then cancelled it the same day because the product wasn't available. They kept delaying a refund of my credit card payment even though I called once a week to remind them. So after 3 weeks of getting the run-around and no apologies, I disputed the charge on my credit card -- and lo & behold they called me that very same day to say they just submitted the credit to my card company. All I can say is wow!! This company was amazing. I spent the better part of my breakfast calling rock material companies to see if I could get rock delivered to my house either today or tomorrow. I called the obvious, big name places and even what I thought are smaller companies. None could do such a last minute order given that the last week was a holiday and they were playing catch up. I figured that was ok, since honestly that was more of my fault, I should have placed an order sooner. So finally, out of desperation I do an internet search for "rock material places near me." Rock n Roll was the first listing. I called and the call was quickly answered by a very pleasant woman. I don't recall her name but it was a nice surprise! The last four places I had called were just kind of grumpy men who about lost their minds when I mentioned I wanted a delivery today or tomorrow. Rock n Roll Materials Inc was definitely priced the best out of the four places I called. Here's the best part- I called at 7:25 A.M., by 8 A.M. I hear the truck!! I come and tell the driver that was seriously quick. He said he wondered about my order as he hadn't seen it yesterday before he left for the day. He said "this one was just front and center." I originally was recommended by a Facebook group that I should come to Rock N Roll and glad I stopped in. I have found that this is the perfect place to get the job done by yourself. I was looking for a gray granite and once I took a look at what they had, I was able to find the perfect style. At first I just got 2 tons then came back for more. I fully recommend Rock N Roll for anyone looking for a certain type of granite or pavers. Since they seem to have a lot of different varieties! I ordered and prepaid for a pallet of pavers, when picked up and unloaded was short 1 row of pavers on pallet . Called and talked to MGR he said thats all they had, but when i purchased they had more. The worst part was he knew and did not tell me they shorted me . Also charge for pallet and when return don't get $ that you paid for pallet. my receipt said 15 credit but my bank statement was -13 is this a pallet rental fee LOL. I will not be using them again to SHADDY !!!!! Pioneer rock is cheaper anyway. read more

To work in a Landscape Distributor is worst than to keep order in a county jail. It is a pleasure to deal with the most expensive distributor In Town because you find what you are looking for or they find it for you. My alternatives were to buy from the most expensive and do it myself; or, employ a Licensed Contractor for the same price. You can guess that I end up doing all the work! I ordered pavers and paid up front. I got a call after pavers were delivered that an error was made at the time of the order and I owed over $700 more. This was their error. I actually had ordered the square footage I needed but told them I wanted the edge to be all one size and color. They actually did not subtract that amount but added it to the square footage which resulted in 200 square feet more than I needed. I felt a fair resolution would be to pick up my overage and give me that credit and I would pay the balance of their error. They refused and continued to call until I felt bullied and just ended up paying the $700. I love the pavers but would be cautious and check their math several times. read more

Same experience as W E. on 2/22/16. Started out very pleasant and the product is great, but the conclusion was like a swift kick in the teeth. A computer outage delayed the partial pallet refund almost a month and it required several calls to address the issue. Additionally, the owner wasn't interested in resolving the customer service complaint so enough said. Although a trivial amount (and perhaps that's why they take this approach), it's not worth a follow-up via phone or email - a simple - buyer beware will satisfy me. Factor the pallet cost into your purchase and don't count on a refund. Thankfully, I won't need pavers again in my lifetime, but others should consider more organized customer-focused alternatives. Read the fine print - know the costs - don't expect R n R to do the right thing. read more

This is the best place to get materials. I've used them for years and they have everything I need. The prices are better than the other areas nearby. Why go to Home Depot or Lowes when these folks are so close. Used them for rocks and built a firebrick pizza oven. My only place for anything landscaping or in my backyard. read more

I was extremely upset after using their services. I went to their rock yard to pick out landscaping rock that matched the existing rock that we have in our yard. We found the perfect rock and scheduled a delivery. First they delivered the rock early (before the sun was up) and dumped the rock in the middle of the street. At least they could have tried to get it on the sidewalk or to the side of the street. Then to top it all off, the rock is the wrong color than what we ordered. The color is not off by a little, but by a lot. We have white/tan rock in our yard and they delivered a red/pink rock - completely different. When I called to resolve the issue, I was told to deal with it. So if nothing else, I hope you spend a few extra bucks and buy somewhere else. read more

Do not buy their Mulch Mix. It is more like a sand mix with rocks. It had 60% sand, 30% rocks, 5% mulch & 5% manure. Horrible. If I was making cement, it would have been perfect! read more

Ed Timmerman, the owner, was a delight to work with. He and his better half, Audrey, helped us with our flagstone order and picking out 12 tons of rock for both my house and my daughters house. The pallets of flagstone came on time, unbroken, and the rock was delivered to both me and my daughter's house where we wanted, when we wanted. I had bought 4 pallets of manufactured stone (looks like fieldstone rock) from Ed and Rock n Roll about 18 months ago as well. Our HOA, Mountain Park Ranch, has been using their products and delivery services for about 10 years - no complaints, and I've been to more than my share of the meetings, so - I give them an A+ for "you get what you pay for"... !! We have spent thousands with them over the last few months on the landscaping of our front yard. Their prices are good on most things but they are very disorganized. I have had to had multiple phone calls to get refunds of pallet deposits since they kept losing their own paperwork and no one knows what is going on. Also, the rock delivery charges are per type of rock, not amount, which isn't clear on their price sheet. It led me to have to pay a $95 delivery fee for one truck to bring 14 tons of rock. read more

Notice to all of the other customers that experienced the pallet deposit credit hassle that I did, here's what you should do, assuming you paid by credit card: After you've returned the pallets and don't receive your pallet deposit, dispute the pallet deposit charge with your credit card agency.
