2.5 is fair but not an option and 3 would be too generous. I've been meaning to try this place out and finally had the opportunity, we arrived around 8:45p and the place had a good amount of people but not crazy busy. The hostess asked how many and if it was out first time there, and we said yes which made her grab some icon she put on our table. We waited 10 minutes until someone came to our table just for drinks not acknowledging it was our first time so I don't know what the point of that was other than to make us look stupid! After getting drinks she didn't have a straw for my drink so she disappeared for 5 more minutes until returning with one... I'm pretty sure I would've survived without it as I didn't ask for it and told her I didn't need it. Some more time passes I see her walking around looking at tables but not approaching them so we inquire with someone else who we think works there (you have no idea who actually works there, there's no uniform they just blend in) and she appears at the same time... at this point we kinda want to leave but want to try the place. We place our order for the chips and queso because we're hungry and our entrees because if we didn't do it then who knows! I got the Texas sweet heat chicken, my mom got the blackened chicken pasta, and my sister got a custom pizza! Ugh, the food all arrived lukewarm and lackluster! My chicken was nothing more than shake n bake with some spice and those fries, how do you make the outside crispy but become chewy! The pasta is sold as blackened chicken, there was nothing blackened, it was a microwaved precooked chicken! The pizza was just sad! What was the point of pointing out that we were first time guests, if our server never even asked us if we had questions or people who appeared to be managers (who knows because you can't tell) never stopped by to see how we were doing our experience was?!! Cool atmosphere, terrible food, terrible service.... I'd rather go to Applebees and I don't go to Applebees! read more

It was the first time in a while my mom was able to get us all together so she made a dinner reservation and when we got there, they sat a party of 2 that just walked in at an 8-seater and we (the party of 7 with a reservation) had to split into 2 tables. So, I've been here a couple times now, and so far I really like the place. Kinda wondered if it would be any good since it was another celebrity/rock star restaurant, but I found the food is pretty good. First visit, late night weekend, they still had a band playing and the place was still pretty busy. They have a nice layout. Outside patio, inside covered patio with a small band stage, and an inside dining room and bar which has some pretty nice and comfortable seating. All are pretty good sized, from the outside it seemed much smaller to me. They have a surprisingly big parking lot, even though they were busy, there was still plenty of parking. I sat at the bar both visits, cause, nobody loves me and thus refuse to be seen with me. They have a large selection of drafts and a full bar with a lot of choices, as I saw it. They do a regular and large beer, which I can always support that option. The menu isn't really that big, most categories only have 3-4 options. I just snacked the first visit, got the soft pretzel with the beer cheese. It was nice and salty, even too much for me, I brushed some salt off, and the cheese sauce which is usually not that great at most places, was really good. The pretzel was soft, and warm. Pretty much perfect. Next visit was also later on a weekend night, no band that night, it didn't seem very busy. At the bar again, I ordered the blackened chicken pasta. I thought it was really good as well. The serving amount was acceptable and probably plenty, but it was so good I could have stuffed down a little more. The garlic bread slice was good. Anyway, bar staff was mostly attentive. There were a couple times where they were gone when I needed a refill, but if anything, they mostly needed to check with customers a little more often. But no big deal, service was still good. Sadly, place is way outta my way. I'm occasionally in this area doing work stuff, but otherwise, it's in the wrong direction for me. However, I will probably try to get up here every so often. read more

Walking up and walking in is incredible. So much to look at in every direction. We were greeted quickly and taken to a table inside. Bring a sweater because the big fan and AC is working really well. I walked through all the areas and loved the POW/MIA table. Being a veteran it is a pleasant surprise to see those who never made it home honored in this way. So we had a few snafu's during this first visit. It will not deter me from coming back. We were seated quickly, our drink order and food order was taken quickly. Our server was very active checking on us. Around 30 minutes in one of the Chefs came out to let us know something happened to our order. Around 45 minutes in we did receive our food. I had the beef dip sandwich and it was outstanding. I could only eat half but it was like slow roasted roast beef shredded on ciabatta bread. The aujus sauce was so good I could drink it. The pizza was packed with meat on top of more meat. Pepperoni. Sausage, meatballs and ham. Chips and queso were good. The only other issue was the filet. It was supposed to be the 12 oz sirloin well done but that piece of meat was a filet and it was well done but that made it tough. The kitchen was gracious and we were checked on often. I will go get that sandwich again but my protein consuming athlete was not as happy. They did take care of us so like I said it will not prevent me from trying them again. read more

Came in on a Sunday around 11am as soon as they opened. Glad we did be because this place was packed within minutes. The restaurants theme was rock n roll with a huge random chandelier right when you walk in. The outside patio area had a band setting up. It is just as big as the inside. Their front door needs WD-40, as it screamed the whole time we were there. We were immediately greeted by the host who asked us a few questions about where we wanted to sit. 20 questions later...... we were sat at a booth against the wall. We ordered waters, a craft beer and an espresso martini type drink. Both drinks were great. The bartender did a great job on the cocktail. Our waitress must have been new because she seemed confused about question we asked about the menu and wasn't very attentive. Our waters were empty more than half the time and our request were ignored or forgotten. For an appetizer we had the BBQ chicken nachos. We asked for extra jalapeños. As you can see in the picture, we didn't get hardly any. The flavor was good except for the chicken. It seemed kind of slimy. Some of the chips were too burnt. I ordered a medium well Artisan Blue Burger with Sweet potatoes. The aioli, caramelized onions and blue cheese on the burger were an amazing combination. It I think my favorite part was the sweet potato waffle fries. They were crispy and seasoned perfect. My husband ordered the Demon Chicken Sandwich with fries. The "rockin hot sauce" wasn't hot at all. It needed more flavor. Unfortunately the breading on the chicken fell off and the bun was all soggy from not being toasted enough. He wound up cutting it up and eating it with a knife and fork. He left half of it as it was too soggy. I don't think we would come back. We could go to many other restaurants in the area with better quality food and better service. read more

Rock & Brews is one of my favorite places to go and to take visitors. This afternoon for lunch, I took 2 visitors from out of town to eat here before heading back to the office. I was really excited about it! Unfortunately, there were a few big crowds who also arrived around the same time we did which delayed our food quite a bit. Almost an hour. Being lunch time, we were in a bit of a rush. I had to ask 4 different people and they all responded very rudely with "we're busy. There's nothing we can do". When I asked to speak with the manager our server said "he's busy". When I asked another server if I could speak with the manager she responded with "we're busy" then proceeded to yell out "I literally clocked in 2 minutes ago". I was trying to be empathetic of their situation but my only ask was that these employees also be empathetic to our situation considering we had to go back to work. I'm a frequent customer here so I hadn't seen these people before, but the lack of empathy, disrespect, and lack of customer service training made this an unfortunate experience. I had never experienced this horrible customer service since they've opened. The Manager even responded with "we're just busy". When we were ready to pay the server came up and said "it's been taken care of" and walked away. No apologies from anyone. I wasn't asking for comped food, all I ask is for respect. Such an unfortunate situation. I'm hesitant to take visitors back. These employees, starting with Management, would benefit from some customer service training. read more

Not understanding the hate I'm seeing in the reviews. This location recently opened and I happened to be in the neighborhood looking for a place to eat. The usual suspects were busy and I was too casually dressed for any steakhouses. I've been to one in California so I decided to give this location a try. Was immediately greeted by three employees with giant smiles on their faces. I asked to sit indoors (I'm not a heat person, and yes, I realize the irony of living in Texas, but I digress). My server was out quickly and had the best attitude ever. I believe her name was Dess/Desi (my apologies if you're reading this and I messed up your name!). I love that the menu isn't 900 pages long. Pretty great choices and easy to make a selection. Tonight I had chips and queso (sooo good) and some chicken tenders with a bit of spice (something Pete's chicken tenders? I don't remember the name). Anyhow, the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and everyone had smiles on their faces. Pretty sure I just found a regular spot. read more

Case and point Hannah (our waitress) and John (house manager) were very upstanding and patience while a buddy and I did our fantasy football draft - kept the drinks coming but no pressure to order food or turn over our table. I really like this concept of a sports bar but with a music theme. There for lunch on a weekday, there was little sports available on TV, so there was a nice mix of music videos and sports alternating on the televisions, with the sound on to the music. I will take that anytime. Décor is also cool with all of the murals and photos of music personalities, which my wife and I had fun looking at and naming the performers as we waited for our food. We saw no Rolling Stones; how can that be with the word Rock in your name? Good beer offering, which means it would be nice to revisit at another time of day. I would call the menu and advanced sports bar menu as it offered a few nonstandard items. My wife had the Birria Beef Dip Sandwich which was very good. The dipping sauce was much better than a standard au juice of a French Dip. It had a very nice spice to it. French fries were also very good. I had the pulled pork sandwich which is described as Memphis style. Since I lived 35 years in Memphis and was actually a judge at the Memphis In May World Championship BBQ contest, I thought I would give it a shot. I am not much of a fan of Texas BBQ sauce and I must admit, the sauce here was in the Memphis style. It had the right tang and sweetness, and accolades for serving it with a small serving of coleslaw on the side which as every good Memphian knows is to be put on the sandwich as a condiment. Horrible service by Danny the bartender. Unfortunately he took over for another bartender who was friendly and attentive. After the shift change happened, it all went downhill. The place was not crowded at all. There were two other people in our area. He serviced those tables multiple times and never once came over to see if we needed anything within a 15 to 20 minute period. Once we spoke to the manager he finally came over and claimed he thought we closed out. As a bartender you know what tabs are still open. So that was a lame excuse. Then the manager claimed there was a communication issue. Yes the issue was he didn't bother to communicate. I won't be back. There are too many places in the area to choose from to go somewhere to spend my hard on money to be ignored. read more

This was my first visit at Rock & Brew and it didn't disappoint!! The restaurant is beautiful inside out, large windows to allow natural light and multiple sections. The ambiance is amazing with plenty of relevant decor. They even have a foosball game and couches for large groups. Our waiter, Rachel was very nice, professional and friendly. She understood my complicated order, confirmed and executed beautifully. Lastly, John the manager, brought us our drinks and was also very pleasant. Just a terrible experience. Maybe it's a short staff issue but the service in the outside bar area needs major improvement. Took forever to get a beer, food took forever and it wasn't great. I asked for a ranch dressing for a salad and it never came. Ordered a beer and 20 min later I just gave up. Cancelled it with the server. Out of nowhere it showed up as we were ready to leave. Of course we were charged. There's a lot to fix if you're going make it. read more
