George was the first person to be honest with me about my car in 2 years. I had an accident two years ago with severe damage to a brand new 2017 Subaru Forester and my car was fixed extremely poorly by a different collision shop in Chester. It had been having many problems since then and a lot of weird creaking noises coming from the back end where it was hit. I have taken it to multiple shops since then and everyone said it was fine and sent me on my way. I finally took it to George at Artistic Auto Body and he literally took me under the car and took pictures of what was going on and opened my eyes to all the obvious damage that still existed, among potential safety issues. Not only was he honest, reliable, and knowledgeable, but he also took it into his own hands to speak with the collision shop that did the horrible fix initially. He got them to cover the ENTIRE cost, when my insurance company told me they would not pay. While the fix was going on and the car was being taken apart, he found other issues from the initial accident and added that to their bill, all while keeping me informed and explaining to me everything that was going on and all of what was being fixed. He also noticed that my spare tire was missing (the initial collision shop didn't put my spare tire back during the repair- absolutely ridiculous), so George was able to get me a new one for a cheap price. I was expecting to pay for the tire at least, but he gave it to me free of charge. My car came back to me clean, and in great condition. I feel significantly better knowing my car is now safe to have on the road without all the damage that other collision shops and dealerships chose to ignore. George truly went above and beyond to help me and completely changed my outlook when I was really starting to think I would have to trade in my car. I can't speak highly enough of the entire staff I encountered. I would 10/10 recommend it to anyone in car trouble. If your car was towed to a different shop, I would pay to have it moved here- it's worth it! read more

Parts that were previously replaced were acting up they were able to fix it super fast for me and it was covered under their warranty. I thought I was going to miss my trip because of the issue but they went above and beyond to help me. They even drove my car back to me after it was done since I was local. Artistic auto body (George and co) came highly recommended after my car was nearly totaled this summer, and for good reason. They were on site within a half hour to two my car, coordinated repairs with my insurance company, kept me informed of all progress or work required, and returned my car to me in impeccable condition when many shops and insurance companies would have attempted to (unjustifiably) total it. My truck was hit in the rear passenger side on the morning of the Eagles Super Bowl parade. I took it to Artistic Auto Body in Prospect Park, PA to have it repaired. I was dealing with George Moore, the owner. Artistic Auto Body essentially replaced the rear bumper cover, in addition to other related work. Immediately upon picking up my vehicle, I asked George if he could come outside to look at my vehicle. I showed him where the rear bumper seam on the passenger side, where it meets up against the rear quarter panel was perfect, but the same seam along the drivers side (immediately below the gas cap door) was uneven, and it bowed out a bit. George stated that it was the best they could do because the way Chrysler makes their bumpers/brackets. I asked him how does Chrysler get them perfect, as it was prior to me being hit? I cannot recall his exact answer, but it was non-sense. I reluctantly left with my vehicle because it was clear that George wasn't even trying to satisfy his customer - just deflect blame away from him and his shop. You can tell he has years of experience in avoiding responsibility and minimizing his customers concerns/complaints. Within in week or so, I called George to let him know that the bumper cover was not put on evenly because my rear tailgate was scraping on the top of the bumper each time I opened and closed it. The paint was coming off where it was scraping. I dropped it off, and when my vehicle was returned, the space between the top of my bumper and my rear tailgate seemed to be fixed. However, the gap in the rear bumper seam on the drivers side kept screaming "look at me!!!" George and I disagreed on this issue, however, he ended up telling me to bring my vehicle back in and he would buy a new $30.00 - $40.00 bracket, and that would fix that issue. A day or so later, my vehicle was ready again, and this time everything looked great. I was very pleased. That was until today. My vehicle is in another body shop for some other minor body work - unrelated to the rear bumper issue. However, they have to remove the rear bumper cover and then re-install it. This body shop e-mailed me (with photos) and explained to me that all the tabs on the rear bumper cover were broken off, and the cover was "hot glued" on. They went on to say that the passenger side is glued so much that they most likely will have to cut the bumper cover off - essentially destroying it and leaving me to have to replace it at my cost. I called George Moore back and told him about this issue, and he stated that he had to glue it because all the tabs were broken off because "I kept making them remove and re-install the bumper cover." I told George that the rear bumper cover was removed and replaced a few times because I asked them to fix their mistakes. If the bumper cover was installed correctly the first time, maybe even the second time, then all of the above and what I'm going through now would not be an issue. Additionally, the shop it is in now told me there is a tool that is used for removing bumper covers that does no damage at all to the tabs - regardless of how many times they are removed and reinstalled. They said many shops just grab the bumper cover(s) on one end and simply pull/jerk them away from the brackets and this typically breaks the brackets. I'm going out on a limb in saying that Artistic Auto Body does it the faster way by simply "ripping" the bumper cover off instead of using the appropriate tool. Long story short, George refuses to do anything at all for me and/or accept responsibility for his shops shoddy work. He then began to lie by saying the bumper cover was removed nearly a dozen times, when it was only three - maybe four times - again, because Artistic Auto Body could not get the job done correctly after several attempts. He again said that Chrysler cannot make parts that fit correctly onto their vehicles. George lied again by saying that he was nice enough to buy OEM parts and absorb the difference from what he paid and what my insurance company (USAA) reimburses him for them. This is a lie because when my vehicle was in for the estimate, he told me that he has an agreement with a Chrysler dealership where they sell him the parts for the price of what an aftermarket part would cost. The dealership agrees to this because George gives them a good amount of business. When I said to George again that the bumper cover was removed several times, it was because they could not get the cover on correctly, which is no fault of my own. He then switched his attitude to saying that it was because I did not accept that it was the best that they could do. George also seemed to be implying that I knew that they glued the bumper to my truck. This is incorrect. So, here I am, most likely going to have to pay for not only a rear bumper cover for my truck, but also to have it painted and the labor to install it. read more

I know this review is quite late, but better late than never. About this time last year (09/15) my 2015 Subaru Forester, which was only 6 months old at the time, got rear ended. I have always heard very good things about Artistic and I live close by so I decided to give them a try. When I got my vehicle back, I was very impressed. It looked just as it did the day I bought it and you could never tell it had veer been hit. The paint match (Dark Grey Metallic) was perfect. They were very friendly and easy to work with. I spoke to the owner George who answered all my questions and concerns. The office staff was also extremely friendly and very helpful. These guys are awesome. They fixed up a car as good as new; they even detailed the car - a $200 value :) Prices are reasonable and they are definitely honest and genuine. I hope I never have to go back to fix a car, but if you have to go due to unfortunate "accidents" these guys should take care of you. read more

This place is amazing! The work was fantastic, and fair price too! I had to go from Broomall to get work done, but later learned it was the best choice! My car had front end damage from a deer, they had a fast estimate and highly knowledgeable about the car and insurance process! George at artistic explained he knew Lou Pace (my usual shop) and gave kind words. George also use to do a lot of work down there in the media area. I felt I was in good hands from the start, also frequent updates given on the car and it's progress. When it was all complete he even had a few surprises, my wiper was bad from the snow and he changed it. The pin stripe needed to be re done on the side of the car. So instead of the factory white he took the liberty of matching the color to my wheels! I loved it! It was a nice touch! It's all about the details and trust! This place is a perfect example of the rip off auto body shop stereotype. I went here to get my motorcycle painted. I had 10 parts that needed to be sanded and repainted black with gold lettering. I was told 2 weeks and $800. After the estimate I bought new pieces, so they only had to paint 4 pieces plus the helmet and only sand and prep 3 pieces and the helmet instead of 10. After 2 weeks they didn't even touch the job. When I asked when they would be done they kept saying "next week". After 4 weeks they finally painted the pieces black and told me I had to tape and sand them for the gold. I told them that I had stencils for the lettering and showed them that if they are left on too long they leave a residue. I was told by the person on the phone and the painter that it wouldn't be a problem. I sanded and taped them just to get things going and came back the next day with every thing ready to go. Another week passed and after pressing them to finish the job, they rushed to get things done and called me complaining that the stencils left residue. I told them that they would do that if left on too long.They said that they will handle it and to pick up the pieces tomorrow. When I went in all the lettering had scratches and imperfect lines. On top of the imperfect lines they also cleared over the residue. So I was left with tiny bumps and dents all over the logos. The owner George tried to say that the imperfections were normal and there was nothing they could do. A week later I was putting a decal on the helmet and when I tried to reposition it the entire paint job came right off and you can see that they didn't even bother to sand the helmet and prep it before painting. I called them about the helmet and the "Lifetime Warranty" to get the helmet fixed and they said they would give me refund and that they were done. I was told to come in with my receipt and get the refund. After arriving there I was confronted by the owner George who proceeded to yell at me and blame me for the crappy work. He refused to give me a refund or redo the work and told me to come back tomorrow for the refund. Since he is the owner he could have easily given the refund, but he just wanted to play games and be spiteful. Not only is this unprofessional, but for a grown man to play childish games speaks volumes about his personality. They took 5 weeks to do a simple paint job. Most places you drop off your job and they do all the work. Here they had me do all the time consuming work of sanding and taping up the pieces. Then when they screw up, they had the audacity to literally scream at the customer and blame me. As if anything I did made them take 4 weeks to even start the job or that it was my fault that they didn't sand the helmet to be painted. It is difficult to find a good auto body shop, but I can honestly say that any other place would be leaps and bounds above these guys. They don't care about the customer or take pride in their work. They just want to collect insurance money. Go somewhere else and get the job done right. At the very least you won't have to deal with the man child owner. read more

I've had 2 cars repaired by this shop and and very happy with both. My 2008 Maxima had over 13K in damages & Artistic fixed it to perfect condition. I've been driving it for a year since the accident and I've had no issues at all. Even my mechanic friends agree that they did a great job. I also had a minor accdent that they fixed on my wifes car that they did cheap, fast & good. I highly reccomend this shop. read more

I was just hit in my brand new car by some goofball in an apt parking lot. My entire rear back door on the driver's side was smashed up and the car frame was bent too. I immediately drove to Artistic Auto Body and breathed a huge sigh of relief when I arrived there and talked w/ Cissy and George. They made me feel taken care of from the minute I walked in until the minute I left and the job was completed. I was going out of town a few days after the accident, so they handled all the insurance claims "stuff" and negotiating w/ the insurance adjusters. George continually updated me on the progress of my repair via email w/ photos. When I picked up the car, it was shiny and clean inside and out. Looked like nothing ever happened to it - as good as new. George even paid attention to all the small details about car stickers that were legal and necessary and gave me copies and replaced them as needed. Their work has a "lifetime" guarantee, so I feel comfortable w/ everything that was done. The whole process was smooth and not stressful.
