They didn't try to bamboozle her or nothing else of that nature. They helped her navigate the chaotic insurance huddles and answered all and many of her inquiries. The staff were very polite and patient. Also the office is clean and quiet. They even took time to explain to her what other steps to take because the other driver hit her SUV and insurance totaled it. They also pointed out the misleading calculations the insurance adjuster hid in the paper because insurance wanted to pay my wife less than what her car was worth. Overall, I will recommend everyone to pick this shop. You must!!!! You will be happy you did.

This review is not regarding quality of work, but more regarding estimates. I had an incident with…read morea new vehicle. I found Autotech decided to give them a call given that their reviews were outstanding. During the call I explained what had happened and one of the first things that came out of their mouth was "if you are looking for cheap...". Obviously I wanted the a job done the right way and for the vehicle to look new again so still entertained their services. I explained I planned to pay out of pocket as I thought it wouldn't be out of this world even for decent dent with scratched along the front passenger door. I went through the process of shooting the pictures and submitting them through their platform. I get a call back from them and when they said they needed to replace the whole door, my jaw dropped. The door was fully operational, window came up and down, the sensor for the bling spot came on timely, mirror was intact, the speaker working and spacing between the front panel and the door was not to large nor small. The dent was at the bottom of the door and half of the damage was a part made out of plastic at the bottom of the door. The gentleman that called me said I was going to "spend well beyond $5,000, more like $8,000 or $9,000 and probably $10,000". My heart dropped and as the conversation previous about it not being cheap put me in doubt about out-of-pocket I engaged the insurance even before getting the "guestimate" of anywhere between $8,000 to $10,000. My insurance quoted the work at $1,500 which usually insurances low ball, but usually there wouldn't be a difference of $8,500 as a max. I asked what were the next steps to get an official quote since they only had seen pictures and thought they needed to see it in-person. He said I don't give official quotes. You bring it in we disassemble and let the insurance know what the real cost is. I would be out of a car for potentially several months and would use all my rental allowance and more. As I usually like to keep vendors/contractors honest I always go for several other quotes. To find 2 other places with great reviews and word from a friend who put his more than $100k car in the hands of a specific shop that was incredibly lower than Autotech. I also ran the pictures through several AI models who yielded results with cost very similar to the 2 other shops who quoted me. The one the AI models said that anything above $5,000 should be challenged and that even with a door replacement it should be remotely close to $8,000. So the 1 start review is for not seeing the car personally to do a better assessment rather than solely pictures, for not offering an actual quote at the best of their abilities as other shops who always give the disclaimer "it may be more once we formally look into it" but at least a ballpark that makes sense. Also, the first appointment to leave the car was weeks after. In the end I decided to go with a shop that was certified for the make and model of my car and also had a relationship with the dealership I bought my car from. They took my car in the same day I brought it to be assessed. I only used 3 weeks of my rental allowance and costed $4,000 for the full repair. But the best of all, nobody who knew I had an accident but had not seen the car could pinpoint where the car was damaged. It is virtually impossible to identify the damaged areas. The job was a door skin replacement, paint and blend aside from other minor details. No component inside the door was damaged... lastly, the maintenance light turned on a few days before the accident, this other shop took the car to the dealership I bought the car from and had it serviced for me before I picked it up. My point, I don't doubt Autotech earned their reviews but the estimate process and pricing based on word of mouth will always be suspicious to me. ALWAYS engage other shops for comparison, ask for a written estimate and go for reasonably priced high quality repairs. I always go for high quality, but there's a difference between the cost of high quality and simply exaggerated.

In November 2024, I entrusted my 2025 BMW to Moppert Collision Center, hoping for timely and…read moreprofessional repairs. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward process turned into a four-month ordeal due to ongoing disputes between Moppert and my insurance provider, Progressive. This unnecessary back-and-forth resulted in significant delays for repairs that ultimately took only two weeks to complete. Throughout this process, I experienced unprofessional behavior, particularly from the owner, Doug Moppert. Even on the day I arrived to retrieve my vehicle after four long months, I was met with further frustration. Doug Moppert refused to release my car, initially claiming that it needed to be washed--a concern I expressed was unnecessary given the circumstances. When that excuse was dismissed, he then cited an inability to process the deductible payment and insisted I return the following day, citing "company policy." This led to an incredibly disheartening moment, where I was left sitting in my rental car, overwhelmed with frustration and disappointment. After some time, Doug approached me and stated that if I was willing to wait, he would clean the car and release it. I agreed, and eventually, another employee processed my deductible payment before Doug finally returned my vehicle. During the four months my car remained at Moppert, I endured rude and condescending treatment, including being yelled at via email, scolded by another employee, and misled by Doug Moppert himself up until the very last day. The lack of customer service and professionalism was appalling. Additionally, their practice of inflating estimates and delaying repairs until all supplemental payments are approved by the insurance company only prolonged the process and maximized their payout. Moppert claims to be a Certified BMW Collision Center, but the certification they reference is from their Pennsylvania location. The Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ location does not hold this certification. If you're in South Jersey and need collision repairs, I strongly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. Even if it means covering towing expenses yourself, taking your car to a reputable facility will likely save you time, money, and a great deal of frustration. Attached is a screen shot of an example of the way that a Moppert employee expresses herself in an email thread with the client and Progressive.

However, that is the only positive thing I can say about this place (even though the body work was okay, it blew my mind that they left a white waxy substance on the inside of the gas cap cover which was the first thing I noticed). And instead of parking the car outside the front door where a normal pickup would be, they parked it near Route 42, making sure I got some early-morning exercise in by walking out there. But worse, whoever parked it that far away also parked it so close to a hardscape wall that my door hit the paver wall when it opened; and I did not even open the door that far! Unbelievable -- at a body shop no less!! When I made the appointment (you better be on time!), I immediately felt a sense of gloom and low morale. The guy who handled the estimate was rude, abrupt and overall miserable. Because Labor Day was the following week, they made the pickup date almost 2 weeks from the dropoff date (knowing that I did not have a rental car on my policy, that was hugely inconvenient). Then, I asked the estimator if he could give me a separate estimate for a new bumper, which gets beat up from parking lot concrete blocks that are sometimes too high for the Camry bumpers. His estimate was mind-boggling, extremely high! I also asked, just to have a baseline price, how much a new paint job would be. He outdid himself on that price, also! The worst part may be the woman who works in the front. She had an ice cold personality and I felt she was very nasty and rude (before you even open your mouth to talk). The description "very harsh personality" comes to mind. When she called to tell me it was ready, I felt I was being scolded. (In fact it wouldn't surprise me if I found out she was the one who ordered my car parked far away from the business just out of spite for me mentioning the extra-long time they planned to fix the car. The payment transaction was quick, but that's because she was slamming everything on her desk, moving quickly as she took the payment. I literally could not wait to get out of there!!

I've had the misfortune to require repair work on two cars over the last two summers. Based on…read moreConcord Auto Body Shop's reputation we took our Jeep Grand Cherokee for an estimate last summer and were hoping to have it scheduled for repair while we were away for a 2 week summer vacation out west. Concord Auto Body was extremely busy, but Pete was very accomodating and said he could fit us in while we were away on vacation. We were kept informed on the progress and any additional potential work while we were gone. While still away we were informed that the car was ready and we could pick it up when we returned. The Jeep looked perfect when we arrived to pick it up. The car was also immaculately cleaned which was a bit unexpected. Considering we have two young kids it was a very nice sight to see the car look brand new on the inside and out! In June of this year we had to take my BMW 3 series in for a minor scrape on the front left fender/bumper area. I was dreading the potential cost of this one because a family member had scraped the car with his car and we were not handling through insurance. I feared the worst in terms of damage cost even though the damage didn't look "that bad". Again, we arrived at Concord Auto Body on the verge of a trip to the Delaware coast for a week and were hoping we could get fit in while we were gone. Pete, again was extremely accomodating and said they would fit us in. He gave us an extensive review of what would need to be done to fix the damage including several potential addtional significant costs that might be incurred depending on what was found underneath the bumper and the various sensor for park distance, etc. We were again kept informed throughout from the call a week in advance of our drop off as a friendly reminder and during our trip to inform us what was done and when the car would be ready for pick up. Upon our return yesterday, the car was sitting there waiting for us. The car looked perfect like it just came off the show room floor of the dealership. Pete and the crew inside were extremely friendly and we joked around about how my Dad still wouldn't be invited over for Thanksgiving for damaging my car. As I got into the car, I was again floored by how clean the car was on the inside as well as the perfect fix on the outside. I genuinely felt like I was driving a brand new car again! Thanks Pete and everyone at Concord Auto Body Shop. You do fantastic work! I hope I never have to see you again, but if I'm in need of repair work in the future, I will definitely be seeing you!
