I'm also happy to report that their happy hour, though still in its early stages, is shaping up to be a solid way to give them a try. We ordered the mussels frites, fish sliders, crab bites, Brussels sprouts, and the pretzel with cheese. The absolute standouts were the fish sliders and the mussels in wine sauce. We usually get the fish and chips and mussels from the regular menu, so we had a feeling these would be the winners and they were. I'd 100% recommend both plates. We ended up ordering two rounds of fish sliders so that should say it all! :) The Brussels sprouts were roasted and simply prepared, which I really appreciated. I'm honestly over seeing fried Brussels on every menu, they're rarely that good and oily. If I could tweak anything, I'd add a sauce or drizzle for a little extra dimension, maybe balsamic or a sweet chili dip. Still, I'd absolutely order them again; they make for a great, lighter snack or side. The pretzel was pretty standard, but I liked that it didn't come salted since the cheese sauce has plenty of seasoning. It came out piping hot and stayed that way until the very last bite.  The crab bites were just okay for me. The sauce they come with is tasty, but I wish there was a little more flavor mixed into the crab itself, maybe some onions, peppers or herbs. However, they're not bad at all; they're full of crab meat and overall really solid. If you prefer a simpler flavor profile, you'll probably love them, especially with a squeeze of fresh lemon. We genuinely love Dakota's, and we'll keep coming back to enjoy the views and the great service. It's been nice seeing them evolve into a true neighborhood staple with all the events they've been hosting. Right now they're even running a toy drive, and they have toys available on site that you can purchase and drop directly into the donation box. Such a clever and thoughtful touch.  It's also worth mentioning that they're in full holiday mode right now, with decorations throughout the space. Whether you just want to soak up the festive atmosphere or snap a cute picture by the tree, they've got you covered.

The dj was great and it's very IG ready but that's where the positives ended for us. We were carded at the door but there's a few tables with kids under 10 inside. I was sent a reminder to confirm the reservation 2 days b4 and on the day of, the owner called to let me know there were some streets blocked off due to a Saint pattys parade. My friends and i were able to plan ahead thanks to that call and parked and walked over. My brunch reservation was for 2:15pm. Now once we came in, we were seated fast. One of my friends was about 20 mins late and they didn't give us an issue about it since the rest of us were there. They took our drink order and appetizers. My friend got there after we got our drinks and appetizers and she ordered hers and we all ordered entrees. The waitress was amazing! Kept coming to fill up my mimosa. We had shots, i felt celebrated the entire time. Owner came by and checked in on us too. The DJ was a vibe! Loved him and he kept shouting out all the birthdays in the room. There are 2 bathrooms which we didn't figure out until later because there was only a sign for 1 of the 2 bathrooms but once we figured it out, we saw the cute photo op area in the back. It's literally directly behind the DJ. The place is decorated beautifully and plenty of options for pics. Food was great, drinks were great and so were the vibes. Love the way they sing happy birthday with a whole party and bubbles. Overall great experience for a bday brunch no complaints. I will def be back for brunch and dinner for sure.

The vibes were amazing from start to finish: great music (major shoutout to the DJ), perfect lighting, and a lively, fun atmosphere that made the night feel special. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge -- seriously, two or three people could've eaten from my plate alone. I ordered the pernil with rice and beans, plus a variety appetizer platter. The pork was juicy (though I do wish the skin was a little crispier), the beans were flavorful, and both the garlic and chimichurri sauces were top-notch. The potato salad was okay, but overall, the meal delivered big flavor and big portions. Since it was my birthday, the team surprised me with a birthday flan and tres leches dessert plate that the restaurant provided. It was the perfect ending -- sweet, creamy, and delicious. The birthday celebration itself was incredible; you truly feel like a superstar. Between the LED signs, the DJ shoutouts, and your name flashing across the booth screen, the energy was unmatched. The drinks were just okay, nothing to write home about, but they got the job done. The only other downsides were the limited parking (especially at night) and the two-hour time limit for our party of ten. Still, it was a fantastic night overall. Great food, great vibes, and a truly fun experience. I'd highly recommend Made in Puerto Rico for birthdays, team outings, or anyone looking for flavorful food and an energetic atmosphere.

For my meal I ordered the salmon and it was undercooked and extremely oily, so much so that the skin was soggy and just a mess. Then they try to upsell on everything, coming around the tables asking us if we wanted to pay $10 to break a plate, there was supposed to be a show and that didn't happen, overall, it was overpriced bad food, so much so, I ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home bc there was no way I was eating that salmon. As for the vibe, everyone was dressed up as if they were going to a super fancy place. I didn't dress up because LOL, it's city island yall....
