Buyer be aware if you hire this company, you will almost be guaranteed that you will have to fix what they do. Leticia was a super nice person when we met her as a sub-contractor for the company we hired. She was hired to frame, roof and side our garage. Everything went great until they installed a man door going to the back yard. They installed a door with no jamb. Yes, this was the fault of the GC but I would imagine a professional would just say no it can't be done, Not Roca's people they installed it, and it was beyond bad. They GC bought a new door but gave Roca a left swing when it should have been a right swing. Guess what Liticia came up with a great idea and let's flip it, really? She explained that some doors can be flipped to work that way OK let's try it. yeah, did not work, so she sent another guy out to install the door, "he came out with a build it yourself jamb" which is 100% fine if you are a carpenter, which he was not in any way being he still did it wrong. He actually used cardboard to shim the door striker. I brought to Leticia's attention the roof had light leaks between the house and the garage, literately could see outside from inside she sent a roofer out who installed flashing, but he pointed out to me that the roof was not correct as it has a gap between the house and the garage because there was no joist under the roof where it met the house. He assured me if a heavy snow came that part of the roof would fall in. Leticia said it was fine and should not be an issue. He also pointed out the garage was missing the facia and called Leticia to let her know, she never acknowledged it. Then I started noticing they modified the door header, and the roof was not supported by the studs anymore but the load was on the door so they did a poor job of trying to fix it. Then I noticed the hurricane clips they used to install the rafters were bent, twisted and had the rafters on top of the clips. I called the village inspector, and he came out and pointed out that the roof, roof ridge, SIL plates, all the headers except the garage door, all rafters and joists need to be removed and replaced. At this point Roca was trying to get me to spend more money to finish the electrical part that was not done, yea right you can't build with wood why would I trust you with electrical? End result is the inspector gave me notes but did not write it up as he felt bad and didn't want to start a violation and fines for an unsafe structure as long as I updated him in a week with a new contractor. The new contractor came in and tore everything from the walls up out and repaired most of what Roca built. The added cost to us was around $32k because of Leticia and Roca's contractors' incompetence. read more

We needed our deck painted and 6 window wells sanded and painted. We were very happy with the work done by Roca Construction. Everything we asked them to do, they did professionally and in a timely manner. We received 2 other estimates and found that Roca's estimate was competitive with the other ones. We chose Roca because overall they seemed more professional than the other 2 companies. We worked with Luisa. She was very easy to work with. She sent us a draft contract right after she looked at the job, she kept us abreast of everything as far as when the workers would be at our house and the one day delay due to rainy weather. Everything just moved right along as we expected it to. Luisa and both of the workers were very polite and courteous. The job site was totally cleaned up after they finished. I had a great experience with Roca! My new roof and gutters look sharp! Against most opinions, I went with black for both and I love it.

This company came around our area when we had a couple of tornados in 2020. I was promised that they could work with my insurance and fix my roof AND SIDING. I thought they were reputable due to the business card that I was handed by their field rep Steven Hill (630)779-4549. Anyone can have a nice card made with scripture put on it. Jesus did not help me with these sheisters at the end of the day. I was later introduced to their ringleader Laticia, on subsequent visits. It became apparent that she lacks professionalism. She brought me photocopied documentation to sign as the originals. These forms had already been stamped by the state, as a photocopy! This would later become an issue for her. She was never on time, sometimes completely missing the appt and acting like it was no big deal. This happened on many occasions, things were promised and never delivered on multiple times. They eventually worked with my insurance to secure the necessary repair funds. I agreed that any left over funds after work had been completed was theirs for their assistance. The work was completed extremely quickly but the paperwork and mgmnt handlings proved to me that I was working with a shady snake oil manager. It was like pulling teeth to get her to follow up with me and get extra things done, She would promise things and then nothing. Once I had received additional funding for my siding, She decided that they had came out of pocket for my roof and since I had to sign over all funds for them to cash them, they would just be seizing the funds and leaving the project. Since they have an agreement with their adjuster that he gets a portion of all checks cashed. Which I found out is unlawful in the State of IL, at the time, I assumed I had to comply. State farm got involved and Leticia had more shady paperwork for me to sign. It was blatant that she was covering her ass but not mine. I just wanted her out of my house and life. I was promised a 2 year warranty and immediately within months had a leeking roof due to their failure to replace the gutters as promised. They NEVER followed up with me in spring as promised. I have not heard from any one since. They took my money that was notated to be for my interior repairs and siding...as their prize. I'm now left with missing siding and gutters. With the trim of the roof being poorly installed and already coming off. They also broke holes into the garage trim board and left them when replacing the roof. I would not find them until spring when it was apparent that I easily had a 4-6 inch wide hole about 2-3 feet long in two different places. My house is in similar situation due to their lackluster attention to detail. My wife has cancer and our funds are limited. Glad to know there are companies out there like this one willing to take advantage when they see fit. I know the funds went into Leticias pocket, Even at one point, our security cameras found her shortly after sitting outside our house, ducking down in her car as if no one was in it as we drove by. Steer clear of these swindlers at all costs. I wish I had went with someone else... I will tell everyone around me NEVER to choose ROCA Construction from Oak Park IL. read more
