Cute place in a great location with windows and views of the street and winter fair but the service is slow and food options for breakfast are limited. The breakfast is good but odd for an American. (Salad, cold cuts and veggies). As a diamond member of the Hilton group which is part of the Waldorf Astoria brand I expected a little bit better breakfast. They have a limited continental breakfast in the Café which is like a cutting board selection or if you prefer a nicer breakfast than you can upgrade to another restaurant for an additional €25. Of course I wanted to try the free option and both days the service was very slow and they didn't offer many items that were listed on the breakfast menu. I had to ask for the fruit and yogurt and juice. It seemed they just didn't have enough staff and were not supporting the staff they had. Our server was sweet but may be new and no one really helped her. I didn't see manager. I'm just used to a higher level of service with the Hilton brand and definitely when you think of Waldorf-Astoria you think of service. This felt more like they couldn't care less if you were staying at the hotel or not. They were confused when they forgot that I was staying at the hotel with the breakfast which was complementary so they offered a different option which wasn't available as a guest of the hotel. They didn't even know I was a diamond member which normally as the highest tier level member of the Hilton group they tend to at least acknowledge it or smile or seem somewhat trained that you are one of their best customers (I was also staying in a suite and that didn't even garner a smile or extra thank you for selecting our hotel). I just stayed at a Hilton in Venice, Italy a couple of weeks earlier and they had my name highlighted on their breakfast check in list so the staff knew I was a diamond member. They greeted me as a diamond member and were extra attentive. I don't need special attention but appreciate it when it is given. At the Waldorf I was treated as just any annoying off the street person. Just doesn't make sense with their brand...I equate the Waldorf with a high level of service. Today was the second visit to the restaurant and while the food was good it took about two hours to get and eat, super slow and we had to ask again for coffee which was forgotten. They say tea and coffee is included but they charged me for cappuccino and water. It is a nice place and the food is good but plan a long time for the service and don't expect much for the gold and diamond member breakfast. I paid an extra 15 euros each day for the drinks. Tomorrow I will try the 25 euro breakfast and see if it is better.

Great coffee shop: Good quality food, fantastic desserts. A bit over pricy, though. conveniently located at the Waldorf-Astoria.

I don't know how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars; if I could give it 6, I would…read more First: the food is absolutely delightful. There are tons of options, including many vegetarian ones, and I have yet to try a dish that wasn't beautifully made, with balanced, light flavors. There are lots of beans, lentils, vegetables, yogurt-based sauces, olives, cheeses, stews, bread, tea, three or four variety of starchs--rice, couscous, bulgur, etc-, burek, fried stuff, baked stuff, boiled stuff.... Sometimes, if I need to eat one meal in a day, I'll go here. Second: the people that work here come from various places--Turkey, Lebanon, Germany, Cuba...ALL of them (that I've met) are friendly, generous, and welcoming (and patient as I point at the different foods to pile my plate with!). The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome: a clean, simple yet warm vibe, classical music playing, and a back room where you can look onto the back yard. Third: you are getting ALL of this for either 7 or 9 Euro. I come from NYC, where one can easily--and in fact often does--pay twice that amount for food half as good. SUPPORT places like this, that offer lovingly made, healthy, delicious food for good prices....this is my favorite restaurant BY FAR in the neighborhood, and there are many other good ones here. I've brought about 4 friends here and all of them have been blown away...one even told me the next day, "dude, I can't stop thinking about that restaurant!".

I was quite amazed at how much food could fit on one plate! The service was amazing & such heart-felt. I would recommend this place to anyone! Although bear in mind there is not a whole lot of space to sit.
