After hospitalization at Mercy Gilbert, my wife was transferred here for rehabilitation. It was…read moreonly supposed to be for a few days, but we still did our due diligence to identify a reputable facility. From that perspective, this location seemed reasonable. But, it was not. Upon arrival, their intake process did not cover anything specific about why she was there or any particular concerns. This was a problem because there were important diet restrictions. Further, the nurse doing the intake seemed incredulous -- responding "you don't believe in anything" -- when my wife answered "no specific religious beliefs." The nurse skipped the "do you feel safe" questions commenting that she would skip those because I (her husband) was in the room. That's exactly why you ask those questions AND YOU DO NOT SKIP THEM. After that, they brought in her dinner, before checking her glucose, which was precisely what led us to the hospital to begin with. When I expressed my concerns with the charge nurse, they came to the room to discuss and indicated that we could always reach them by phone -- a phone they always have with them (though he had inadvertently forgotten it at his desk, so he did not -- in fact -- have it with him). The PT/OT was okay, it was slated for 3 hours a day. But outside of that, my wife could not do any of her own recovery or work -- including walking. So she'd be sitting or lying for the remaining 21 hours in the day. That didn't seem conducive to recovery. We ended up leaving the facility after one night. The facility itself was fairly nice, and a handful of the staff were helpful, but overall it was not a place that I would recommend. I have zero confidence in their ability to provide the level of care expected or desired.

Update 6/5/26, my daughter is in DB due to needing antibiotics 2x a day due to getting MRSA at…read morebanner hospital. Well in a few days there's bedbugs everywhere, they attempt to take care of it moving people washing clothes, shower, not that easy to get rid of bedbugs and she has bites all over her. She asked to have her sheets changed and noticed the bed bugs in the clean sheets. Then a nurse tried to remove her pic line for no reason at all, she called 911 because the nurse said she didn't need it. She's in this place to get her meds and the IV antibiotics, which are to be given 8am and 8pm, they're given usually about 4 hours late each time. Her blood pressure was very high and they didn't seem to think a systolic number of 212 was important so they take their sweet time getting her anything, with high blood pressure comes headaches, well she got Tylenol 4 hours later. Now her pic line which was moved the next day is backed up bleeding and not secure. And on top of it she now has a bad infection on her elbow which is red, inflamed and warm to the touch, probably from bed bug bite. They won't help her. She's told she has to wait because the nurse does everything in order and can't be bothered. The saga continues with horrible care. Please note to all that you can file a complaint with the AZ attorney general's office!

This is my second time here, and the level of care is just as outstanding as I remembered. Special thanks to Ms. Keirstin for always bringing positivity and making patients feel truly cared for. Huge appreciation as well to PT Cayley and Michaela--both were incredibly patient, supportive, and instrumental in my recovery. I feel like a new person because of them. The entire staff creates a positive, welcoming environment. The gym is full of energy and encouragement, and you truly feel at home while healing. I also want to recognize the overnight nurse who went above and beyond--checking in multiple times during the night and making sure I was comfortable right up to the end of her shift. I highly recommend this facility without hesitation. Exceptional care, compassionate people, and a real impact on recovery

I was grateful they scheduled a time with me to go over all his care for home. It really helped with making the transition to home easier. Nursing staff was kind, and did their best to answer the call light in a timely manner. Our dog was welcome to visit which she did. As a health care provider myself, I could not be happier with the care my husband received at this facility.
