Got fleeced after I just wanted a new front tire and oil change for 883 Sporster(fitted to a…read moretrike). They told me the front shocks had to be done($500)! Cost me a grand in total. But it kept bottoming out afterwards. I went back and just got lame excuses. As if they can't improvise due to the trike's altered weight and pitch angle. Bourget's Bikes? The newbie yahoo mechanic they wanted to occupy even screwed up the cap on my oil tank, which makes it pop open when my leg bumps it. They don't want your business I would say. I went to Stan's to have the front forks done right. Do not go there for repairs! They just care about they're inventory. My impression about the attitude there is: If you're stupid enough to go there, we will fleece you.

I took my sportster to these guys for new tires year before last. I called around looking for a…read moregood price. The place has two different names.Second name is Bourget's Bike Works. I called both names looking for lower price not knowing it was same place. The one owner seemed ticked that I was calling around looking for a cheaper price. Why I don't know. Most people do call around looking for cheaper price. Any way I decided to take to them after looking around. While making appointment I commented on the other owners attitude when I had previously called, and he told me well his partner was a little ticked that I called looking for a cheaper tires and said he told him that there was nothing wrong with calling around for cheaper prices. . I brought the bike in as it was close to home and was the cheapest price for two new tires. I picked the bike up, and found it was covered in rubbing compound spray all over my bike from a bike they were rubbing out next to mine. I thought that this was very unprofessional . Anyway I headed home and noticed the bike seemed doggy. I continued riding but was not happy why my bike was doggy after taking there. I called them and they basically said It was my shifting and that I should change the way I shift. I went on a group ride shortly after and a mechanic at a well named Harley dealership checked my belt after telling him my concern about my bike being doggy after having new tires put on. He checked the belt and was extremely loose. also my chain guard was all bent up. I thought taking my bike to this place would keep me safe . Wrong .... I feel that this was callously done to my bike with no care for my safety or quality of there work. I almost feel as though they did a crappy job because he was bent out of shape because I called around looking for a cheaper price. Although I can't say this was also there fault to be sure, my highway bar fell off as well on a ride and It nearly caused my an accident. All this is a span of a week after taking there.
