Wanted to let folks know that David at Robots Repair is a great guy and technician. I took a small electronic device to him, he was out to lunch, but left his number on the door to call. He returned within 5 mins to help me. Even though my device had a problem that wasn't fixable, he took it apart, found the problem and showed me the issue. He didn't even charge me, (although I still gave him something for his time), and explained everything in detail. He also recently took delivery on a number of used, pro office laptops, which he will go through and sell, so if your in the market, check him out. I needed a custom-built desktop for my work. I'm self-employed and needed something powerful (lots of audio and video editing) that wouldn't break the bank. David asked me tons of questions about what I do, the programs I use most often, etc. I could tell he really wanted to understand so he could choose the right components. He built it fast, communicated regularly, and was willing to explain anything in detail whenever I didn't understand something. I walked in with an iPhone 11 that had water damage on the screen. Asked if it was salvageable. Dave took it apart in seconds, examined it, and said yes. 20 minutes later, after screen replacement, I had a perfectly functioning phone again. 2nd visit; walked in with an iPhone X that had been sitting, in the original box unopened for 4 years, and wouldn't charge or turn on. This was after the Apple store told us the phone was junk, nothing could be done. Dave opened it up, performed some tests and said it just needed a new battery. Again, perfectly working phone after battery swap in 20 minutes. Lesson, don't leave your iPhone at the Apple store if they tell you it's beyond repair, just take it here and let Dave examine it. My phone was not charging, so I went to this place for a repair. I walked in, approached by this guy (forgot to ask for his name), told him all my concerns, then he checked my phone for any damages. I went there thinking that my charging port was damaged, that I'd have to go for a repair which can cost at least $80. I turned on my computer recently, and the normal Windows screen didn't appear. A never before seen Bios Utility screen popped up, and I couldn't get rid of it. I called a week ago and got a quote to unlock a phone. They said walk-ins are welcome I don't need an appointment. I decided today after work I would go over to unlock my phone. Got there and saw the sign saying that they were quote taking a break. Sat there for 45 minutes, then decided to call the phone number listed on the Note. No answer. Sat for another 45 minutes.
