Bonus for this Sunday morning (12/15/24) included calmer weather with peep of sunshine and street parking right out front. That's crazy luck at Pike Place Market! I was thumbing through The Stranger Holiday Guide yesterday and came upon Robot vs Sloth's ad. Lightbulb moment for a Christmas gift for my niece, a high school junior who loves sloths. Warmly greeted by store staff. Definitely there's no dawdling since the store was getting overrun by Seahawks & Packers fans and other holiday shoppers. Lots of merch available from plushies, bags, cards, prints, buttons, magnets, puzzles, Tshirts, and much much more :) ! This has been a shop I've bookmarked forever, but did not have the opportunity to pop in until this morning. Perfect retail spot to support indie and local artists. I found a cool printed zippered clutch, perfect for stuff and things. Then I was deciding among the clothing items sized from onsies, to children, unisex/men, and women along the south wall. Another friendly staff member kindly answered all of my questions. He even mentioned that he wears a medium. I went with that size, distinct print, and color. Note: payment at the front counter is card only. Yet again a pleasant staff member assisted with this transaction. My holiday shopping experience was top notch, easy peasy. This shop is located right before the walk down to Pike's Market, mid level. It is so cute inside and everyone was so cheery and inviting. There are pieces by local artists and is a great shop for grabbing souvenirs. I grabbed a couple stickers and postcards for the kids. This shop is the absolute cutest and chock-full of wonderful little finds. I stumbled upon it a year or two ago, and we come back every time we are in Seattle. From the pins, stickers, prints, shirts, and knick-knacks, you'll notice something new every time you make a lap around the store. The staff is ALWAYS so nice, helpful, and informative. If you need recommendations, don't be afraid to ask. They can even ship things to friends, family or yourself if you don't want to carry it back (for a price of course). It's sad to see the little changes in the shop, like many things being locked up, so SHAME ON YOU if you're stealing! I stopped in this little store on a recent trip to Seattle. The store itself was small but we were greeted quickly upon entering. The selection was minimal unless you wanted something specific. I was a little confused by the concept as the stores products appeared to be for children but at the same time could not be interpreted that way. I appreciate that the store is very friendly towards the LGBTQIA community but I'm a little confused as to the concept. That being said we did purchase a couple of lanyards and the staff was very friendly. I feel like the selection could be more diversified and the intent be made a little more clear. Alongside the robots and sloths there are side characters featured on her merch as well. Her shop also showcases products made by other indie artists. Walking from the market we were looking for a quick bite to eat and this store caught our eye. In the window were some insanely cute/cool designs of, you guessed it, Robots and Sloths. My favorite was easily the Bride of Frankenstein Sloth and Frankenstein Robot painting. The store is small but dense with super unique gifts. We were just going to grab one thing, a stuffed salmon, but we just kept grabbing things on the way to the register and spent a bit over $90 on gifts for friends. Fun little shop in Pike Place. The shop was created by a Seattle artist. She showcases her robot and sloth doodles on t-shirts, bags, sweatshirts, magnets, coffee cups, hats and more. She incorporates scenes from Seattle, politics and pop culture into her designs. There were numerous items I found interesting enough to purchase. In the end I walked out with a Robot vs Sloth pride magnet, a sticker and a sweatshirt for my daughter. These three items tallied up to be around $70 dollars. Not cheap, largely because of the sweatshirt. But the quality of it, the fact that purchasing it supported a local artist and the fact that my daughter adores it made the purchase worthwhile. read more

I am always on the lookout for locally made stickers and postcards when I travel, and Robot vs Sloth was awesome for this! I got a couple stickers (a giant sloth climbing the space needle and a cat eating a bowl of ramen) and a couple free postcards with their mascots on them. They had a large selection of pins that I loved as well. They also have mugs, shirts, items for kids, and a big selection of stuffed animal taxidermy - so cute for a kids room! I loved this store and had so much fun browsing. I just kept smiling at all the cute cartoons and silly art. This is an awesome place that I came across recently that is nearby the Pike Place Market. This is kind of a cross of a retail shop and art gallery. And as the name implies it's focus is on sloths and robots. There are lots of fun trinkets and t-shirts here with that theme and some very interesting art work that is on the walls. The logos and art are very cutesy in theme and not too disturbing or dark. Normally that is what I like but coming across the more light hearted things can be very refreshing since I don't always want to brood and be unsettled with the art I'm looking at. lol! The staff here are very friendly and greet virtually every person that walks in through the door.
