We went for breakfast a few days ago. We were excited about trying it, but it was not good at all. My husband had chicken fried steak and eggs. He literally could not eat the meat. It had some nasty looking white stuff in the meat. He did like the hash browns. I had some kind of open cheese and onion breakfast enchilada that was literally two tortillas with a few raw onions and about a two tablespoons of barely-melted cheese in between. Stopped for lunch at 1:30 they close at 2:00 but friendly waitress told us to come on in. Hot day and AC out but they had a big fan that kept us comfortable. We ordered the enchiladas plate - 4 enchiladas one each, cheese, chicken, beef, steak with beans and rice. Gave this spot a try after a long day at Trade Days. The chips leave much to be desired. The food was bland and felt like we were having left overs. The portions between three adult entrees were inconsistent. I'm not sure what was going on in this restaurant that afternoon, but I do hope it was an off day and this isn't their typical fare. But that will be left up to someone else to figure out as we won't be back. read more

Came here for breakfast had a bacon and sausage omelette. Had biscuits and hash browns along with it. Everything had a great taste to it, the omelette was stuffed full with bacon, sausage, and cheese. Hash browns were crispy, and biscuits were toasted on the griddle. Great Tex-Mex. Solid staff. I stick with my standard cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. They never dissapoint. Great place to bring the kids as well. The breakfast is also on-point. Best Mexican food in the region. If they don't have it on the menu, just ask and they will make it for you. Their food is made from scratch. The owner is usually there and waiting on tables as well. I eat here three or four times a week. If you are in Canton it is a must eat at place! read more

We had just shopped the first Monday grounds and were needing a light meal to get us recharged. Ordered the sampler to share with my daughter and the flauta was so overcooked and dripping of grease I was not able to eat eat it. The cheese quesadilla was just a cheese one, nothing to brag on. Two beef nachos again nothing to brag about. Thank goodness for the queso (small and a bit thin on consistency) but had great taste. All the waitress were watching a movie and folding utensils and not paying much attention to the few customers that were in the restaurant. We eat here as often as we can. The food is perfect. The complimentary chips are thin and crispy, and the salsa is the right degree of spicy. I have ordered the appetizer platter, the mole poblano platter, flautas, queso flammeado, and the tortilla soup (of course not all on the same night!). I have never not been delighted with my meal. The service is also perfect. The servers are attentive and responsive. Honestly, this place feels like a family kitchen, and I am always happier after I eat there. read more

We were in town this past weekend to attend the National Dutch Oven Gathering and decided to have some TexMex before we packed up and headed home. Out 1st choice was closed, they're only open on Sundays during "First Mondays". We decided to give Robles a try. It wasn't bad, in fact some of the dishes we tried were quite good. My sister and wife both said the fajita chicken was some of the best they've every had. The chips were not greasy and crisp. The hot sauce could have used a punch! They do not use real meat, the hot sauce is WATERED down and complete trash. The service was terrible, the chips were cold. It was dirty, and just over all a horrible experience. My Husband , 2 young girls , and myself went to eat here today for Fathers Day. They were not too busy, like every other place in town. The food took forever to come out. Then mine was wrong when we got it. Our waitress never came to refill our drinks. And it was extremely over priced. $8.00 for 2 sweet teas. It was at the end of breakfast and they were nice enough to bring out some chips & salsa to keep the kiddos satisfied before the meals arrived. After careful reviews that are out dated I am writing a more up to date review. I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas. It came with 2 soft shells, rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream . It was plentiful and tasted good. I admit the texture felt different in my mouth. I think that was all in my mind due to the negative reviews that was on my mind at the time. I say give this place a try. Cost was $8.99. I had 3 different employees ask me if everything was ok. All of them were polite. I didn't hv a long wait for service or my food. The place was clean, but I wish I had the opportunity to see the kitchen primarily because of the negative rules. Alcohol is not served here. I want planning on drinking this day anyway. This place is about 3 miles south of the interstate off of Highway 19 and close to the 1st Monday events. We entered Robles very skeptical after seeing these awful reviews but we were hungry and tired and settled. We could not have been happier with our experience. Our food was probably the best Mexican food we have had in a while. The chips and salsa were great and each person gets there own salsa in a little styrofoam cup. Which is great for our family because we love our salsa! The fajitas came with a lot of meat and fresh tortillas. The tacos were also loaded with meat compared to a typical Mexican restaurant. Everything was delicious possibly due to there new chef from Mexico!! Our waitress was amazing I believe her name was Linda, but don't hold me to it. She was a very friendly, caring, and very personable waitress! The rest of the staff was nice as well and they all seemed to tend to all of the tables! TERRIBLE! The service was terrible, the food tasted good but made us SICK. We waited for 15 minutes for our server to take our order - and she walked by 5 times without saying anything to us. I ordered the lunch special and was brought something completely different. After complaining to the server she brought what I had ordered but charged me OVER full price on the ticket. And unlike every other restaurant in ETX, they charge extra for tortillas. And as if the dinning experience wasn't bad enough, my boyfriend spent the rest of the afternoon in the bathroom with a moderate case of food poisoning.
