His demeanor came across as empathetic (unusual for a specialist). He asked that I have some tests done for him to better evaluate my need for surgery, and his desire to be thorough was reassuring. So far, so good; but my Meritus experience went rapidly downhill since. I have some serious concerns about one of the tests that Dr. Jafferji ordered, and wrote him a letter outlining those concerns. That was nearly three weeks ago. When two weeks had passed with no communication of any kind, I called his office and spoke with a decidedly unhelpful woman who lied to me to get me off the phone: she said that she was the person who reviewed the mail but had no memory of receiving my letter, though she admitted she might have, and would have forwarded it to the doctor if so. She promised to both contact the doctor and to have someone from the office follow up with me; that was four days ago and of course no one has done so. At this point I have no way of knowing if Jafferji ever saw my letter, or whether it has just been lost in an office where no one cares about communicating with patients. While he certainly came across as an understanding physician, I have been wrong about things like that in the past. However I also realize, after speaking with the very unhelpful woman, that he may never have seen it, and the dysfunction in that office is therefore such that he never will see it or be informed about it. In the end it does not matter which it is; the bottom line is a patient with real concerns has been completely ignored and left to twist in the wind with the clear message that his concerns are totally unimportant to a staff that has, evidently, better things to do than help their patients.

I then had to have my appendix removed, it was an emergency surgery and I was there over night. The plan of care was 1 to keep you in pain not get you out of it! The pain was so bad I could barely walk and my surgeon did not care. He Left me in pain and sent me home and my 1st night home was almost intolerable! He gave me basic meds and when I called into tell them how much pain I was in his response was she shouldn't be in pain so take Tylenol every 6 hours and deal with it. Mean time I have 3 incisions that are so bruised I can hardly tolerate anything touching my abdomen. When did it become ok to let patients suffer? Not only that, the communication in the office is absolutely terrible, you may need something and call in and never hear back! If you have an option, go elsewhere!!!

I have spent over $1000 to get scar tissue and lymp massage to see if it would help even it out. I called the office in 2009 to advise them and they did not seem very sympathetic and stated i may need to get it re-done and pay the $5000 or whatever I originally paid. Needless to say 9 years later and today its still uneven and have fat pockets that were never removed. I now live in San Diego and will most likely have the procedure re-done with a more experienced doctor to fix the lumps. My stomach looked better prior to lipo. I would not recommend this facility.

In May of 2021 my husband's had to undergo a double lung transplant. It was a success!!!! Needless to say, after 4 years of being a caregiver, worrying attending tons of doctors appointments across the country, I was left feeling, depleted and looking MUCH older than I should. For my Birthday my husband asked me if I would want to get some Botox?!? I said, "YES!" I was a little optimistic at first thinking it wouldn't work, but after having just two procedures done I couldn't be happier!! Today Johanna Fangmeyer showed me my before and after pictures, I was speechless, I couldn't believe how "OLD" I had looked!! Johanna really did an excellent job!! I had my first appointment there today as a new patient. The woman that was in charge of my x rays…read morewas really unprofessional in my opinion when it came to the x rays where they have to place the one in your mouth and bite down and take multiple angles. This should be classified as torture cause we had to do this for a majority of my visit. She never explained to me how it worked and what to do (it has been a LONG time since I've been to the dentist). She first sized it for adults but my mouth is small, so she had to size it for children and then she would only tell me to bite. It was getting really frustrating hearing her tell me to bite when i was. I was biting down as hard as I could. Then she kept complaining about how i kept taking bad x rays and had to redo them. At one point she asked me how old i was, as if that had anything to do with anything. She was obviously being judgmental. Another time, she had told my boyfriend that "she keeps getting her tongue in the way" She never talked to me and explained to me anything. She only ever told me to "Bite" or "open your mouth wider". I was in pain, my anxiety began rising and i was getting extremely frustrated, so naturally I began to cry a little. She also kept mentioning the fact that i was using the children size, and i was still messing up the x rays. It's like she was blaming me the entire time, instead of telling me what to do or how it worked. Several times, i was in pain where she had placed it, it was either stabbing my gums or she placed it really far into my mouth and since i have a horrible gag reflex, i was gagging on it. Afterwards, once we finally got all the x rays done, She took me back to see the doctor. He looked at my teeth and told me what i had to do to get them fixed. I came in with a broken wisdom tooth. I should have gotten a cleaning today however their hygienist wasn't there cause she had already left for the day, so now i have to return on Thursday to get that done and to go over my payment plan. I will update if need be for the future. All in all, my first visit wasn't great. I never want to get x rays done here ever again.

Few weeks later they send me a bill for $4000.00!!! Said the work done was NOT covered by ins. Got a notice that if it was not paid they will send to collections. Corp said local can stop it. Local said corp is the only one to do that. Ended up having to get a loan to pay. They can charge you whatever they want without your prior approval.

I called the morning of to confirm the appointment and ask how long it would take. I mentioned the time specifically. When we arrived on time for the appointment, we were told that the appointment was more than an hour earlier and we would have to wait more than an hour to be seen. It is a 45 minute commute each way. No courtesy reminders regarding appointments. Zero regard for the difficulty elderly patients face just in order to be at the appointments. Beyond frustrating.

Their customer service is atrocious. Every time I attempt to call Ludwick on different phone…read morenumbers, I was placed on indefinite hold. This morning, Wednesday, I attempted to call for 30 minutes starting at 9:15 AM to no avail. Ludwick's answering system put me on hold for 10 minutes, so I disconnected and tried another phone number and was put on hold again for awhile. So I disconnected and tried a 3rd phone number and was put on hold for a long time when finally, I heard what sounded like a phone ringing and thought I would talk to one of Ludwick's reps. Instead, the phone rang and rang and rang,.... This painful phone interaction has happened to me when I attempted to call Ludwick a few months ago. It's an obvious pattern; I find it disrespectful of my time to be put on indefinite hold and I will not tolerate it. I am going to copy this comment and post it on whatever social media I can find. Ludwick's physicians seem good, but your customer service is atrocious.
