Hidden GEM! Very Yummy Food. My partner got the fish and chips each time and I tried a few others throughout our week. The owner worked their butt off each and every time. Great selection of ice cream flavors! Yummy sundaes. Standard fried seafood - but great place to take kids, simple, outdoor picnic tables. Port-a-potty is the only rest room. read more

Not only does this place have great ice cream, they have the best fried clams ever. I was about to give up on getting good fried clams in this general area after my last visit to New England (I'm a former native and come back at least every two years). While I had found some good fried clams I hadn't found great ones like I remembered from years ago...until I tried Robins Nest. They were perfect! Nice crispy outside (not greasy AT ALL) and great soft bellies. Yum! I'm a fan and will make this place a stop every time I come to visit family on the East Coast. read more

Great place! We were yard sailing and happend to come by , had large fish and chips my wife had small fish chips, great food. Portions were unbelievable Great! Just wish they stayed open longer in the year would love to come back more before winter. read more

What a sweet, tucked away, treasure. We live close and happened upon Robins Nest. My husband ordered the fish and chips. I ordered chicken fingers. The girl behind the counter couldn't have been sweeter. Both our meals were tasty and very reasonable. For dessert-- one scoop for $1.50!?!? Amazing. The price was low, the quality HIGH. We are now regular customers. This is one of those summer spots you take your kids and they remember for a lifetime. Highly recommended. read more

This was a terrible experience from start to finish! The pictures online make it seem so cute but when we pulled up it looked super ghetto and trashy, not to mention no dogs allowed at an outdoor ice cream place?! My husband ordered a pb cup sundae and the guy behind the counter complained to us about not wanting to make it. Then I ordered a cup of mint soft serve with hot fudge, our total was $10.75. The guy comes back and says they don't have mint along with several other flavors of soft serve, which was most of their soft serve options. I decided on a twist with hot fudge. He comes back with a runny cup of soft serve and tells me "the machine's been running all day, is this okay?" And no hot fudge. I tell him the ice cream is fine but that I wanted hot fudge. He huffs about it and then comes back to us to collect our money and says the total is $14. We were like how??? The guy started saying something with a huge attitude so we just left without the ice cream and went to Perry's. Never again! read more

Fried seafood menu, hotdogs, burgers, fried bar fare. They are open seasonally from end of March until September or October dependent on weather. They are closing early this year (Labor Day weekend) for the (friendly) owner to take a vacation. Get in while you can. Near the campground. Small soft serve cones only $1. Perfect stop! read more

$1.50 for a scoop of hard ice cream in a cup or on a cone, $1 each for a 2d or 3d scoop. Lots of flavors to choose from. I got a little ticket with my change for a weekly drawing for free treats they serve. Close to the Thousand Trails campground. read more

One of the best prepared New England Fried Seafoods we have had. A nice small Ice Cream/Food takeout stand. The Seafood platter consisted of lightly battered Fried Cod, Whole Belly Clams, Scallops and Shrimp. Sweet, tender and delicious!! A new favorite for us when in this area!! read more

Good Ice Cream with a large selection of delighful flavors but much more . . , they have great fried-seafood and American pub fare. This place is a little out there in the woods. The ice cream prices are very reasonable making it worth the extra trip out to the woods. It is basically a take-out window in the woods with sheltered picnic tables. If you want a soda it is served in cans from an old fashioned coin operated macine. Appears the main customers for Ice Cream are the campers from the local campground. Many are older snowbirds RV people and the ice cream prices here apear to please them, That being said it has some of the best fried-seafood and American Pub food in the area. The owner is behind the window and does the cooking with care. On slow nights he take the orders also and is very friendly. If you like seafood it is well worth the trip for a very rustic, very causal, and very yummy dining experience.( Defintely a seasonal place, closesLabor Day, but several tables are on a screened in porch so you can be shelter on a cooler sumer night.) read more
