Tarzana Urgent Care (with their parking)

I'll keep it very simple. I was just treated there for a cut injury in my forehead that required stitches. Dr. Robin Zakariaei's miracle hands applied 3 small stitches that will leave no scar, he patiently explained the process, what to expect, and the follow-up procedure. Marash, the surgical nurse was the one to applied the local antiscia in a near painless way. On the administrative side, plenty of parking in the back, the wait was short, first-time patient forms, paperwork, and insurance processing was quick. I don't recommend getting injured, but if you need medical attention: this is the place you want to go.

My face and skin is flawless due to DR. Z !!!!!

From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and cared for during a stressful time. Everyone I interacted with was patient, welcoming, and genuinely compassionate. I'm not happy about the injury, but I am so glad it happened near this clinic. My son has several behavioral issues that make going to any doctor a nightmare usually... But this place and the staff surprised me over and over with how kind, patient, welcoming, confident, and accommodating they were toward me kid and his needs. I'm so used to providers misunderstanding and/or mistreating my kid that I was truly shocked by how awesome they were. Turns out he didn't have an ear infection, but even the doctor who examined him was simply AMAZING working with him. Patient, attentive, respectful, curious, playful, and supportive. He didn't judge me for bringing him in, or act like we'd wasted his time. I seriously wanted to hug him at the end, lol. I wanted to hug all of them! Thank you all at the clinic for your kind and thoughtful care. It meant the world to us. :)

It was extremely itchy on Thursday and by the next day it was very swollen.I went in on Sunday, Obviously it's hard not to scratch even after using Benadryl and Ibuprofen. The woman that saw me wasn't even a doctor she was a nurse practitioner (NP) which I found out later while reading my visit paperwork. she didn't mention this and also was wearing a white coat as if she was a doctor that's very misleading!! And there should be some sort of law of uniform to define the difference! Her demeanor was brash and not very friendly! she also said I had scratched it with my nail and that's why it was swollen and infected that there was no bite and no insect involved she proscribed a ointment which almost burnt my ear off Mupirocin ointment and amoxicillin. First complaint is her rushing to get an easy result without much care or concern, second wearing a white coat pretending to be an actual doctor, and third her demeanor, attitude and results within less than 5minuets tops!! please do better! And be transparent I'm very sure most people don't know they are seeing NP!! As opposed to a doctor, maybe they should wear another color coat to let people choose if they want to be addressed by a doctor or Np, there are so many urgent cares in the area! Hopefully people don't start choosing another one after this review. Good Luck.

The clinicial for that day (Miriam Lewis NP) decided to take a walk-in patient before me which took more than 30mins to finish. I had an appointment and she decided to see the other patient first, who probably came a few mins ahead of me, who had no appointment. My case could easily take 2mins max, I just needed her signature for the TB test form. Instead, she decided to make me wait more than 30mins so that she can see a patient who had no appointment, that other patient was in for a general health exam. My case legitly took a minute to print out the paperwork. She saw me by 4pm. And the print-out was done by 4:01pm. She should have seen me 1st knowing that my case would only take a minute and I had an appointment. Then she could have seen the other patient who had no appointment and take her time to do the exam for that other patient. So basically my appointment was pointless. I still ended up waiting for more than 30mins. Wasted my time, came to work late. Thank you.

All three times we were taken in very fast and seen by Dr. Thomas Long. He made my children (and myself) feel very comfortable and taken care of. This last time my daughter had a swollen arm from a bee sting a couple of days ago. She didn't have symptoms of a serious infection but I still wanted to get a professional opinion. Dr. Long had a look at her, asked me if she had a fever at any point since the bite, which she didn't... he basically asked all the questions to rule out an infection or anything serious. (My daughter had been in good spirits, energized, had a good appetite, normal sleep etc.. since the bite and swelling). Instead of immediately prescribing antibiotics or steroids (like almost any other Doctor would do) he told me to keep a good eye on it and give her Claritin. He said if it didn't improve in a day or two to come back. After giving her Claritin her swelling has gone down significantly and the redness is gone. She remains her usual upbeat talkative bossy ;) self. I just so appreciate Dr. Long for taking the time to figure out what could really be the issue, before prescribing some drug (which I'm not opposed to if truly necessary). Our other experiences with him were similar. I am super grateful that people like him exist in the medical world and definitely recommend this place.

The receptionist was amazingly friendly professional courteous and helped a lot to fill out the paperwork, but The nurse and the practitioner Lin didn't seem too enthusiastic to be there or show any care, He did attend to my infected finger but it was or I felt it was a very quick fix just because it was before closing. I have attached picture of my finger two days after he attended it supposedly he cleaned it and it was all to be okay but this was the result after 2 days. I tried going back when the infection came back much worse but come to find out I had to pay again to be reevaluated for the same finger that they worked on 2 days ago so I decided to go somewhere else where they were amazing The amount of time they spend on my finger to make sure it's clean and administered antibiotic cream on it then wrapping it nicely so it doesn't repeat itself, not like EXER where the nurse practitioner just squeeze it a little bit made a quick job didn't put any antibiotic lotion on it and just a quick lousy Band-Aid. Our experience, almost from start to finish, was amazing! We went to the ER and were taken in almost immediately. Testing and diagnosis happened rapidly, and my wife was treated quickly. We have been to ERs where we thought "is anyone paying attention?" It was not like that at all. The nurses were friendly, professional, and attentive. Title: Disappointing ER Experience - Rude Doctor and Incomplete Care…read more"I brought my elderly mother (hard of hearing) to the ER at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center on March 22, 2026, due to blood in her stool. We were seen by Dr. Natalie T. Shum, MD. Unfortunately, the visit felt rushed and disrespectful. Dr. Shum was rude--she interrupted my mom mid-question (my mom was struggling to hear and speak up) and sharply told her to 'let me finish talking.' This made my mom feel dismissed and anxious. Despite the reason for visit being blood in stool (possible rectal issue), Dr. Shum did not perform a rectal exam or check the area as we expected for proper evaluation. When we brought a stool sample for culture (only a small amount needed per instructions), she refused it, and we had to go to another nurse instead--this felt inconsistent and unnecessary. Labs were done (including pending stool culture/pathogens), and she was discharged with viral gastroenteritis diagnosis and follow-up instructions, but the interaction left us feeling unheard and that care was substandard. Communication was poor, especially considering my mom's hearing issues--no accommodations were made. We expected more compassion and thoroughness from an ER, especially at a Cedars-Sinai affiliated facility. This experience was stressful and disappointing. I hope the hospital reviews staff interactions and exam protocols to prevent this for others."
