The staff is professional and welcoming, the facility is excellent, and the level of service is truly top-notch. I needed to change an appointment and left a message over the weekend so the office would have notice. To my surprise, I received a text that same weekend with helpful options and alternate appointment times. I later realized I was communicating directly with Dr. Ruiz. When I asked why she was responding on a weekend, she explained that both her patients and staff deserve the best support possible--especially from a small business owner. That level of personal commitment made a lasting impression. I highly recommend Dr. Ruiz and her office for any dental care needs.

I hadn't been to a dentist in 8 years. Gross, I know. But I absolutely hated going to the dentist,…read moreI always had horrible experiences. My husband guilted me into going to a dentist (not because my teeth were disgusting lol) but because we were paying for my dental insurance & it was going to waste. SO I googled nearby dental offices & made an appointment with A Smile Shoppe & I wasn't looking forward to it... WELL to my surprise - from the moment I walked in I was BLOWN AWAY. This is not just any old dentist's office. This place is so clean & modern and the receptionists are all super friendly & sweet. I was still cautious & nervous about what was going to happen once I went back. Well ANOTHER SURPRISE! My technician was amazing & my cleaning was not painful OR messy! THEN I met Dr. Call & he was so kind & fun and very knowledgeable of his craft. He is the most down to earth dentist I have ever met! I did not feel like another number. I couldn't believe that I was actually having fun at a dentist's office & I didn't want to leave. I'm telling you they are AMAZING!!! Now I look forward to my 6 month cleanings!! And go regularly! My husband couldn't believe it when I got home & told him what a great time I had & that he needed to schedule an appointment asap. Dr. Call has also really helped my husband with all of the jaw pain he was having. Dr. Call is the first person who has made recommendations for him & is doing everything he can to help him. And he has already made major improvements!! Dr. Call & his staff are phenomenal. If you are looking for a dentist to change your life, look no further!

I found this office on google and they accepted my insurance, Hayley booked mine and my husbands…read moreappointments over the phone quickly and professionally. We just wanted a check up and the free cleaning/X-rays that our insurance covered. They send forms by email which is convenient and they were very thorough in the questions. We arrived for each of our appts on the same day and both were told we needed to have "deep cleaning" and they couldn't do it that day. And insurance doesn't cover it. Now why, after telling them on the phone it had been YEARS since we had been to the dentist, would they make us come in just to have to schedule us on another day. They weren't able to do anything other than X-rays. So we both took a day off work for nothing. They also quoted me $4500 for Invisalign and kinda pushed it hard but I refused and declined that service. Deep cleaning requires two appts. So we scheduled them for the following two weeks. Two more missed days of work for each of us. The dental hygienist (Shannon?) was amazing and friendly, told me she didn't understand why I needed to come for two appts because mine wasn't that bad. She did the first half of my cleaning. She saw my husband and then the male dentist did his cavity drilling - during which time he cut my husbands tongue several times with the drill and blamed it on him having too strong a tongue? He ended up prescribing a mouthwash and ibuprofen only after I texted the office to ask what had happened. When I came back the next week, it was the same male dentist who my husband had seen who did my cleaning. They pushed for me to do novocaine shots over and over even though I didn't need them the first time and it hadn't hurt at all then. The dentist seemed much rougher with this half of my cleaning, then lasered my gums which wasn't done before. Then, they realized I didn't have the lasers done on the first visit so they had to come back and do it again. They then told me I needed $400 more of work to replace a crack in my tooth that they suddenly noticed during the cleaning? But not on the X-rays the first visit? The different dentist that first day had told me I had no cavities or teeth issues. Seemed off. It took my husband FOUR further visits to get his two crowns put on. One day their equipment wasn't working so they cancelled same day. One day the crowns came in and they didn't fit so they redid X-rays. One day(after I spoke to the office two days prior and asked them to confirm his crowns had been delivered, which they confirmed) he showed up to his 8am appt for them to tell him the crowns never came in their shipment and they would "hopefully" come in by the afternoon so maybe they could see him then? Why would they tell me the crowns were in the office when they weren't? This has been a nightmare of an experience. I also received two phone calls in the weeks after my cleaning appts offering to knock off a couple hundred if I did the $4500 Invisalign they recommended. It was such pushy sales it really turned me off. The gal at the front desk Hayley is super friendly and likeable, but this felt like high-pressure sales. It seemed like at every appt they wanted to tack on a new expensive problem that didn't exist before. I wanted to love this office, but I would never recommend them.
