Second time enjoying Roberto's & we have the Nachos a try. This was beyond a healthy serving. Whoa! We were stuffed. The pork was tender and flavorful, the queso & cotija cheese was delicious. The margarita I had was also delicious. Highly recommend. The ambiance is comfortable and authentic. Service is always great. A new Mexican restaurant has opened in Northwood! Roberto's opened in late May 2025 on US 4/US 202/NH 9 in Northwood in the former roadside building which has been home to Ma's Cafe (now located up the road) and several Chinese restaurants over the years. The place was redone which has a cozy inside dining room with tables & booths and high top tables, seating for 15-20 people, arm chairs & chairs for waiting patrons, painted orange walls, modest decor, and outside covered patio seating in the front. The place is order & pay at the counter for dine-in (staff brings out your food) and takeout. The food offerings include tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, chips & dips, tostadas, cerviches, street corn, salads, soup, desserts (sopapillas, ice cream), and cold drinks (Jarritos, soft drinks, water). The prices are moderate. I stopped by Roberto's after work for takeout. I arrived here around 4:55 PM and there were plenty of customers already here and still coming in. I placed my order for a full order of Pork Nachos ($14.11 with tax). The dining room tables filled up as I waited in a comfortable chair. My order was all set in 15 minutes. The nachos were piled with soft lean carnitas, queso, green onions, beans, cotja, cilantro, over warm crisp salted nacho chips, served with cups of sour cream, pico de gallo & guacamole. These nachos were fresh and very tasty. I actually enjoyed some of those nachos outside on the patio before repacking and eating the rest later. I will definitely stop back again for dinner since those soft taco plates including fish tacos and tostadas also looked pretty good being served to dine-in customers. read more

I've been a local, and have passed by this location many times. The type of restaurant has changed and my wife and I felt compelled to visit here today. The inside was welcoming and they have definitely put some love in the interior. I ordered the chicken burrito and honestly it was delicious! We spoke to the owners and they shared how they recently started the business and we don't doubt that they'll do well. We were surprised to see the empty parking lot. This spot deserves the hype. Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, our app came quickly. Street corn queso dip was very tasty. Wanted to love it. Highlights are: Meat is cooked well. Hot sauce offerings were good and made in house I think? Corn tortillas were good. Guac was fresh. Drawbacks: Worst margarita I've had in NH. Not sure if it was supposed to be flavored but it wasn't lime and it was very sweet? It was orange. No real service to speak of. Expensive for what it was. Everything comes out in plastic containers. Which we are used to in Mexico (we've been many times and I eat off street carts constantly) but the price didn't reflect that. Restaurant smells like moth balls or chemicals. We only eat out once in awhile and felt like this was wasted. read more

We're originally from Southern California and have lived in Northwood for nearly 30 years. We know great Mexican food and it's one of the things I've really missed. When we saw that a Mexican restaurant would be opening here we were excited but only cautiously optimistic. We needn't have worried because the food was fabulous. We ordered a lot in order to try a variety of foods. My husband had the house made meatball soup. It came out hot and meaty, a bit spicy and utterly delicious. We shared the "small" bites bean and sweet potato tostadas. You get 2 to an order and I expected small offerings. They were large, filling and extremely tasty. I worried they perhaps be dry but were perfect. We then ordered 3 of the tacos, all on corn tortillas, all carnitas (pork), and one each of the varieties. Wow. The pork was moist and seasoned perfectly. Each one tasted balanced, tasty, and are definitely repeat selections. Please stop by! This food was delicious and so fresh tasting. I had the chicken burrito Roberto's style and it was incredible. Most places fill with beans and rice but this had lots of chicken and the seasoning is so authentic with a hint of lime. My husband had the beef tacos also Roberto's style he said the meat was so tender and they tasted great they looked good, too. You will not be disappointed here and the prices are vey reasonable. Horrendous food. Truly. I had gotten the traditional style burrito and added queso and paid for double chicken. It didn't come with the queso, the chicken is bland and watery - I would say it has no flavor but I admit it tastes like it was seasoned with one singular lime and nothing else. Pico didn't taste like anything. Even the beans were bad. The rice was way over cooked and mushy like mashed potatoes. They have good portions I guess it was a huge burrito but just lifeless and flavorless. Only saving grace to get me part way through the burrito was the chipotle sauce I had to smother over it. All of that for 42 dollars! Truly lost out on that one but you live and you learn. Saw a 5.0 on yelp and a 4.8 on google and thought I was in for a real traditional Mexican style meal but all I got was vaguely limey protein in a wrap. read more
