I told Rick about the whole situation --I spilled a whole plate of food down our flight of steps--you really don't need to know what was on the plate, but on the steps, it was nasty! I said do you think you could come asap as it's a mess. Rick said is today ok? I said, "absolutely, when do you think you could be here?". Rick said :" how's 15-30 minutes". Again I said "absolutely, thank you." They were here promptly and the team left it spotless. I've used Kauffman's several times and will continue to use them. They are a well-known family business which we are fortunate to have in the Reading, PA area. I thank you Rick and Kauffman's. As for value because it was an emergency, they were extremely fairly priced. Don't base your carpet cleaning on one bad review...call Kauffman's. No, I am not related to the business! You will love their service and expertise. They're the best that we've had and we've lived here for 40 years. They also clean grout which is my next call to a wonderful business.

    I spoke with someone on the call center that quoted $165 for my dryer vent to be cleaned. They…read morewere supposed to confirm with the office that they could go to the third floor and the price. Then the price increased to $200. I spoke with Matt, he scheduled my appointment for today between 12-5 pm. The technician arrived @ 10:40 am. This would normally be fine; however, I had another appointment to get to prior to them coming. They told me I had to reschedule. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! & Robin is unreasonable and unprofessional. They ruined my day because I kept the day open for them to be here. Now i can't use the dryer until it is cleaned. They should have made it a point to send the technician back at a later time today.

They didn't haven't doormat we wanted on the truck (gray), so they told me it would be dropped off the next day. Fast forward a week (we all have things to do and get busy) and there is no doormat and not a peep from them. I called to find out what happened and was told I would be called that day or the next. No phone call received. Then I called again and was told the doormat would be delivered today. Well, today has come and gone and still no doormat. I just called for the third time and am now told it will be delivered tomorrow. We will see, but I am doubtful. It's a shame you are not able to contact the local office directly, but instead have to talk with folks in a centralized scheduling office. This is now a matter of principle. If you are going to sell something, then deliver on your commitment or don't bother selling it to me at all.     My carpets might be clean but other things make me say ill never use Chem Dry by the Millers again…read more I didn't appreciate him dripping his solution on my hardwood floor as he moved from room to room. It has now been 24 hours and we had to rent a commercial fan to dry our carpet Our den was wet, not damp 18 hours after it was cleaned. The worst was when the technician emptied his hoses on our driveway which was sealed this summer. We now have discolored areas. And yes, we tried to hose it with water after he left.

She was very kind and polite. The techs showed up on time after they called me the date of service. The one talked. The other didn't. They were in and out very quickly. I asked about wearing shoe coverings for when they came inside (as they were going in and out the front door and I was afraid they would be bringing in dirt etc) but he said they "clean as they are backing out" and didn't wear shoe covers. Paid a bit more than I expected. Carpets took 3 full days to dry. Not hours. That was unexpected. Then noticed large amounts of white powder in my vacuum "lint/debris" when I did my weekly vacuuming within days. Started seeing white "powder/film" on clothing when I sat to fold laundry , also on our socks. There were areas of the carpet that were "crunchy." I did send an email. Missed the call to schedule an extra "rinse." Called the number back. A gentleman answered. He was short with me and said that it may be from pets or "salt" from outside. I told him we do not wear shoes in the house. This was not what was happening. Told him about the crunchy areas too. He was unable to schedule and asked me to call back the next day as this was later in the afternoon. I was then scheduled for a rinse however we unfortunately had to cancel due to a family emergency and an ill family member. Due to an extremely limited schedule we said we would do our best to remedy on our own as it was not feasible for us to schedule an appt at this time. We utilized a professional grade cleaner and was extremely disappointed to see that the water was extremely dirty. The cleaning had occurred the previous month and we have VERY limited traffic up there. We are upstairs to sleep. I cannot see how the water would be that dirty after just having a professional cleaning. No way. Fast forward a couple weeks and my son was vacuuming , moved a nightstand that's elevated off the carpet. the only visible stains(2) we had noted at the time of service had resurfaced. So, we used our brand new bissell spot cleaner and hand cleaned the spots. Again. The water was EXTREMELY dirty. (Photos attached) there was absolutely zero foot traffic on that area from the time of cleaning. All small furniture (including that piece ) we moved prior to the techs coming. No spills since. As he cleaned he also noticed crunchy spots throughout the carpet too. So he continued to clean prob 75% of his carpet for approx 1 hour. All of these issues were discovered over the course of a few weeks after the service.. Our carpet was only a few years old and was very expensive. I did email the company last week also sharing photos. I did say that we did not need additional service as we Took care of it independently. But I also was not comfortable having them come back out because I was concerned there would be additional damage /harm to our carpets. However, I had hoped we would receive a response back as I inquired if perhaps there was an issue with equipment, product or a staff training issue. We did not. We have had our carpets professionally cleaned many times and have never noticed anything like this. While there was definitely some positive things to note , I cannot in good faith give a 4 or 5 Star review. After reading other reviews, I now see similar experiences with the end result. I would be cautious.
