The carpet and area rugs all look like brand new, and the carpeting had stains that I thought would never come out. We recently had an occasion where we needed a quick response. My brother's water heater died and leaked water all over the place. Since he is a renters we needed to call landlords first. No response. But we needed to work quick before furniture was ruined. I called Angelo's. It was after four so of course, it was almost closing time. Steve said he would stop over to see if he could help. Not only was he there within 30 minutes but Owner was with him. They both removed padding but set up fans to save the carpet. They ran machines to soak up as much water from carpets as they could. They installed hose to remove water from heater (which is up and beyond their job). I cannot ever be able to thank them for what they have done. They will be back in a day or two (when carpet is dried) to install new padding and to lay the carpet. They took a huge burden off of my brother, who lost his wife the week before. I never felt compelled to provide such a negative review for a service but this company more than deserves it by its actions and inactions. We had contacted Angelo's Cleaning to perform rug cleaning in our townhouse in Exton, PA. The company also advertised dryer vent cleaning so we decided to have them perform this service at the same time. BIG MISTAKE. The dryer vent cleaning was a total disaster. The type of spinning metallic brush they use failed to navigate properly through our flexible vent hose eventually getting tangled up within the vent and breaking the brush head off. The technician tried to hide that this happened until I directly questioned him why there was so much banging noise while they were cleaning the vent. He immediately blamed the problem on the vinyl material of the vent hose. Prior to cleaning, it would have taken him 2 minutes to examine the dryer exhaust vent to see the vent hose itself. If he felt his method of vent cleaning was not appropriate or a safe way to clean our dryer vent it should not have been done. There was no apology from the technician or any offer that the company would perform any repairs for the damage which left our dryer totally unusable. We were asked to pay by check for the rug and dryer vent cleaning in advance of any work performed. It didn't occur at the time that we should never have had to pay for the vent cleaning. Without any offer to repair the damage we felt we were on own to remedy the problem of venting the dryer by an alternative method. We contacted the owner of Angelo's Cleaning to notify him of all our efforts and expense to use our dryer again. He came over to examine the situation and easily verified by looking at the vent exhaust that a vinyl vent hose was installed. The owner, too, blamed the vinyl material for everything and did not offer to reimburse us for any portion of our expense to remedy the damages. He just referred us to his company's Dryer Vent Cleaning paragraph in the Terms and Conditions that states "Plastic vinyl hose should never be used behind walls and can become fragile with age and break. This is the customers cost to fix if this happens." He did ultimately refund our vent cleaning payment. If you have any type of flexible dryer vent hose in your walls, I would suggest you be very weary of having Angelo's Cleaning to do any dryer vent cleaning. If anything goes wrong, they will just blame the customer. read more

I've used them in the past for house carpet cleaning, which was fine, however this time I wanted to use them for cleaning of an oriental rug. The online price was decent and the scheduling app was nice. When the guys came to do the on-site cleaning they said they'd do a better job if they took it back to the shop and cleaned it there, and that they'd follow up in a week or so when it was done...fine, go ahead...sounds good to me! A week or so later I get the delivery email I picked the date and time I'd like, and then the guys show up on time...wonderful! The disdain comes when they look for payment and the cost is more than double the original invoice amount. Apparently, the shop cleaning cost is way more than the on-site cleaning cost, however they never said anything to me until it was too late and they have already cleaned and returned the rug. Really feels like it was a bait and switch! I paid them and they left, but the best part is the rug was left rolled in my dining room. I have quarterly pest control, but what did our cats find and kill?? Yep, a field mouse somehow found it's way into the middle room of the middle floor of my house, the same afternoon my rolled up area rug was left there. I haven't seen a live mouse in this house since we moved in and started pest control service over 5 years ago. My advice...if you need an area rug cleaned, go to Zakian and have them do it and avoid the hassle and possible uninvited house guest. I hired them b/c of all the great reviews, but I was not impressed. They did arrive on time, but they were very rushed and sloppy in the process, in particular with the application of the cleaning spray and the clean-up. Maybe I got them on a bad day, but I will be trying out a different service next time. The details: The technicians left a puddle on the floor adjacent to the carpet when applying the cleaning solution (I happened to be in that room), and when I asked about wiping this up as they go, I was told that they will clean it as they do the carpet cleaning. However, when they said they were finished and requested payment, I walked through the house and found liquid on all of the non-carpeted areas adjacent to where they cleaned, and the initial puddle I pointed out was still there. I mentioned this again and had to actually request they clean all the liquid up. The technicians also walked around on the cleaned carpet without shoe covers. After the carpet dried, there was an area where I requested pet urine treatment that was hard and crunchy -- it was slippery when mixed with water, so I assume it's some sort of cleaner that wasn't rinsed off properly. I had to spend time to wash this out myself with my own carpet machine. A couple of days after, I noticed drip marks on my leather couch, which is now discolored in certain spots. I also found drip marks on walls, but that's not as damaging. About a week later, I saw there are chips on a few of my coffee table legs, in the same room as the couch. I can't prove they did it, but to the best of my knowledge, the legs were not damaged prior to the visit since we rarely use that room, and we don't have dogs or children that could possibly do that. read more

In response to the owner Angelo's comment; he is trying to defend himself against something that is not doable. My review is 100% accurate of what happened and the customer service terrible and so was the work of the men whom yelled at me and rushed because they were being paid less. Best of luck with future customers Angelo I will make it my mission to continue to protect people from your abuse. If I could give zero stars I would. I am updating my review with pictures of the terrible job that was done on a less than 1 year old couch. There was also a large cleaning stain left on my hardwood I already cleaned up, I took another picture and there is some Remanence still there if you look closely. Also to note, it was agreed upon by Angelo himself to refund my money in exchange for me taking the review down this morning via phone. I then called back and requested the check to be mailed back to me and he stated "I wasn't going to tell you but we cashed the check already, you are not a nice person, I will take a bad review so I can explain myself." This man for two days has tried to blame me for his behavior and his employees behavior and it will not be tolerated and I will be reporting it to BBB, etc. The incidents that occurred yesterday as followed: Their customer service was appalling. My scheduled appointment time was 1230. It was near 1 pm and no arrival nor a call. I called the office and a man stated "oh they are still in Havertown they wont be there soon." I then stated I have an appointment at 1:30 as I work from home can they come later and he said "absolutely 230." 3 pm rolls around and I get a call "hey we are on ... road" I said I love on .. drive which was made very clear to whom I spoke to when scheduling. The man rudely stated "I will be late" and hung up. I called the main office to speak with whomever and express my concerns about the cleaning lateness etc. and he said "I don't know what to really say you were the one who couldn't do 130 because of work," I requested compensation due to all what happened throughout the day and he stated "I can give you some off." Two men arrived while I was on the phone with the man in the office, (I now know was the owner Angelo.) When I informed them of the price agreed upon the older gentleman YELLED at me, in my house "we just drove two hours I am not doing it for that." Angelo stated they were and said he would call them and I hung up. I went upstairs as I am a young female and alone and was very uncomfortable and upset. Needless to say, Angelos will not be used by my family or friends ever again and their verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Complaint is filed with BBB. read more

A few years ago I paid to have a rug, 8' x 11', professionally cleaned in preparation for long term storage. When I got my rug back I immediately wrapped it in plastic and put it away. Recently I finally moved to a new place where I had room to use my large, beautiful rug. When I unwrapped and unrolled my rug yesterday I discovered that it did not appear to have been cleaned at all! There was even still grime on the fringe. I had vacuumed it with an old vacuum before having them clean it and with my new vacuum I could have done a better job. I immediately called Angelo's and left a message. Today I spoke to a lady who told me that anything on the bottom of the carpet would be transferred to the top of the carpet upon rolling. No, duh. Why would you clean the top of the rug and not the bottom, knowing that it's going to just get dirty again? And how exactly do you clean a rug and manage to not clean the fringe? I was offered 35% off cleaning service (since it had been a few years), still coming out to at least $100-ish. No thank you. I'd rather vacuum my own rug for free. I had them clean my carpet prior to moving out of my old apartment at the same time as my rug went into storage. They did a fine job of that, but I wouldn't bother using their service again for any of my rugs. Edited to add: I really don't care about some sort of discount. These guys are true professionals. I had contacted them in the morning because I had spilled paint all over my carpet the night before (long story) and spent the night trying to scrub it out. Come morning the stain from the paint still remained and that is where these guys came to the rescue. Allen from Angelo's Cleaning in Phoenixville did a fabulous job cleaning my carpet (stairs and hall) and basically "reconditioned" my sofa, chair, and ottoman. My family and I have used Angelo's for carpet cleaning and dryer vent cleaning previously and have always been happy with the results and the very nice people. And this time was no exception. Allen called before arrival to give us time to lock up our pets. He explained his approach and then went to work. And he worked, and worked - the results were truly amazing. We had never had the sofa/chair/ottoman set cleaned professionally. I wanted to replace it, but with nearly an identical set which I have yet to find. So I thought I'd just try a professional cleaning. Voila! Allen made the set look nearly new. He brushed the "suede" microfiber and "trimmed" any areas that needed it. (I'm not sure how he did what he did, but it worked like magic. I think he said he used "clippers"...) Sparkling clean and fresh. The products used made everything smell fresh, too. Need to update my last review. Used this company twice and never will again. I was extremely satisfied with their visit but the second never made me want to use them again. Their price almost doubled in a years time and they also spent half the time after a year between cleanings. I feel that one of their techs spent more time utilizing my bathroom then he did cleaning which I spent almost $700 for. I felt they did not use any pretreatment to "problem areas" which I paid for and I did not witness them using the pretreatment as well. After almost 2 weeks of arguing the fact I was able to get the $200 back for pretreatment and pet deodorizer I paid for. This time we used Angelo's carpet cleaning for the second time to clean and pick up a large oriental rug. They dropped it off and the experience was completely different then the first time. The main gentleman seemed inconvenienced and the second gentleman pleasant, but not sure what do. At one point, I had to step in and help move a chair. The owner called us, and basically claimed "we needed to move our own furniture and have the rug rolled". No! As far as the gentleman who was not pleasant or had no customer service skills. Angelo explained that "as it was the end of the work week". I think it's wonderful when a company values their employees, but don't make excuses for their behavior. We used Angelo's for carpet cleaning. Two guys came with their machines and cleaned the carpets with a variety of cleaning agents. It took about two hours total. After one hour one of the guys 'disappeared' and I was shocked to find him in my kitchen going through the things in my cabinets and drawers! He even had the dishwasher open!! I said "excuse me! what are you doing?" really loud and clearly scared him. He turned around and said he was looking for a glass for some water. I told him all he needed to do was ask and he had NO business going through my kitchen or any other things for that matter. I would have gladly given the guy water but geez, was it awkward! I thought he was robbing me! If you are at a job off-site, perhaps you should bring your own water/snacks!?? How unprofessional to find someone rummaging through your things assuming that it is just fine to take what they want because they want it! Needed to have my dryer duct cleaned out, would highly recommend Angelo's Cleaning for the service. Good communication prior, very professional during the visit. It's been a while since our ducts were cleaned out, and it really needed it! Very thorough job done, quite a bit of material removed. Ryan walked me through all that needed to be done, provided good recommendations on steps moving forward. After seeing the great reviews for Angelo's, I decided to go with them, and I am completely satisfied. They cleaned my sofa and loveseat, tile and grout in my kithen and bathroom, and a hallway where my cat urinated. Due to my pets, my job required extra TLC, and they truly delivered. I've used Stanley Steemer and Thoroclean in the past and have not been overly impressed by the results (I thought Stanley Steemer did an especially poor job) so I decided to try Angelo's. The guys showed up on time, were extremely professional and I thought did a TERRIFIC job. The older carpeting hasn't look this good in years. They got spots out I was told by the other 2 companies could never be removed (and did a great job on the filtration soil stains in the halls, while not completely gone it is far less noticeable) .
