Dr Olson and his staff have the most welcoming and warm professional office I have ever been to . Dr Olson focuses on direct treatments to my neck and low back , which also include laser and decompression. I found it to be the most effective treatment I have had for my neck and back, working much better than physical therapy and steroid injections. Going to his office is a wonderful experience. The first time I went to his office, it was difficult to find from the parking lot as it's not visible from the street. A staff member was very kind to come outside and show me how to find it. And what a FIND it is!! Dr. Olson's office is professionally appointed with rolling machines to help loosen muscles so that you can get a really good adjustment. The staff is pleasant as well. They have a nice waiting room with water and tea. When I met with Dr. Olsen I liked his willingness to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I might have before adjusting me and I did not feel rushed. Typically, my neck will tighten when I get with a new chiro but Dr. Olson was able to get it to move and adjust it completely. I was impressed at his ability to adjust my neck on the very first visit! I could feel my neck freely move from left to right. What a sigh of relief it was! He is a very knowledgeable chiropractor and I recommend him if you are comfortable with strong manual adjustments vs. other softer touchy-feely modalities where you wonder if anything really happened. I'm at that age where you can't do simple things anymore, without messing everything up. I fell asleep on the couch and this created a nightmare for my neck. I hoped that it would go away after a day or two, but after over a week I was desperate for relief. I tried to get help through my PCP, but that was a nightmare (I couldn't get an appoint for weeks.) They referred me to Urgent Care, which wouldn't do anything, but ice/NSAIDS (which I was already doing). I found Dr. Olson's office through my insurance. However, he doesn't work with my PCP. My insurance company wasn't a great help. I called Dr. Olson's office and his office manager was amazing. She gave me the facts and even though they were a bit depressing she provided multiple options and even offered to research options for me. She made me cry, not because I was upset, but because she was the first helpful person I had dealt with during this entire ordeal. I was able to make an appointment for the very next morning. I got there and the staff was helpful. Dr. Olson identified the issue almost immediately. He warned me that I would not be healed overnight and this would take a while (he said 6 - 9 weeks) because of how much damage I did. That was not what I wanted to hear, but what can you really do? He adjusted multiple areas. It did not feel amazing, let me tell you. I went back to work that day after some ice and creams and follow up appointment for the next morning. The pain sky rocketed. I'm not going to lie, I felt worse then before I went it. It was pretty brutal (of course, because he just poked a bear of an injury). That night I went to bed with a bit of a struggle, but I was still following Dr. Olson's instructions. I woke up the next morning a new person. I went from a 7 (I've had a baby, nothing will every be a 10 again) to a 2 in 24 hours. I went back the next morning to see him for another adjustment. I was pain free from that moment on. Because my insurance and PCP didn't work with me in this situation, I did pay out of pocket and it was a little costly for five visits, but WORTH IT! Now that I'm writing this review, I really want to go back just for a check up adjustment. read more

I hurt my back exercising and was in terrible pain. Turning over in bed was extremely painful. I asked my family doctor, an extremely knowledgeable internist, if she could recommend a good chiropractor and she recommended Dr. Olson whom she used herself. I was lucky enough to get an appointment that same day. I had been in pain for five days. The treatment lasted about two hours. That night I slept like a baby. I'm amazed at the improvement after only one treatment. I have had two treatments since. His physical therapist, Richard, plays a significant role in the treatment. In my opinion, Dr. Olson is nothing short of a miracle worker. I have praised Dr. Olson's treatment of my painful back to all my friends. I hurt my back about 6 months ago, it wasn't getting better so I made an appointment with Doc Olson. I had never had an adjustment, was nervous and didn't know what to expect. Doc Olson and his staff are professional, friendly, caring and put me at ease. My appointments have moved from 2x a week to 2x a month and I plan to continue that schedule indefinitely. There was immediate relief at the first meeting and he is helping me stay out of pain as well as helping me gain flexibility & the correct body alignment. I was impressed. Although I was referred by a friend, I wasn't sure what to think when I first walked in. How could he be different than my previous chiropractor? It was the only chiro office I had ever been to. For starters, Dr. Olson not only addressed a problem that my previous DC failed to diagnose, but he also pointed out a few other posture & range of motion issues that I was unaware of. What really blew me away was how he was able to tell some of my habits based on the specific flexibilities of my neck. I was so shocked that he could see that. After having seen an orthopedist, 2 Physical therapists, and the other DC, this was the first time I felt like my problem was properly analyzed and treated. I also liked the way he quietly explained everything he was testing/checking/stretching; I never used to know exactly what they were doing they were bending/cracking/moving me. In walking out of the office, I already felt better about my conditions and he outlined a plan to get me back on track. I'm a little young (at least in my mind) to start having hip issues, so I was quite hopeful that he'd be able to fix me. Last Friday I was treated again by the best chiropractor I know Dr. Olson and let me just say he is The Best! On January 18th I was in a Horrible Car Accident and was in bad shape with whiplash, shoulder messed up neck pain. This is a more current review replacing a prior (also great) review, as I have now been a patient going on two years. I have been to many chiropractors over the years, and I decided to give Dr. Olson a try after looking at many Yelp reviews. I live in Oceanside and could go somewhere closer to home, but let me tell you, it is worth the drive. He is able to adjust my back and neck better and more efficiently than any other chiropractor I have been to. I always feel better after leaving his office. He is very thorough, explains everything well, and you can tell he puts all of his patients, both younger and older, at ease with his natural bedside manner. He integrates manual adjustments with other more "techy" tools, and the massage beds are awesome. His new office staff is great too. Dr. Olson is not only a great chiropractor he is a nice guy. On Friday I had been suffering from extreme hip pain making walking very hard. He adjusted me Friday and used the KLaser and adjusted me again today and my pain when walking has gone from a 9 pain level to a much more manageable 3. Today I went in 4 hours early (after writing down the wrong time) and since it's such a struggle to get around he got me in to an already busy schedule. His staff are also very friendly and helpful.
