I moved to North Raleigh from Los Angeles, CA shortly after having had double jaw surgery (along with some complications) and needed to find a qualified orthodontist to continue treatment. I had consultations with quite a few ortho's from North Raleigh to Cary and was not sure about any until I met Dr. Kent and knew within the first 10 minutes of speaking with him that this was the place to be. The staff was warm and welcoming, and technicians were gentle and thorough. Friendliness is great, but definitely not all this office has to offer. I was absolutely blown away with the amount of time Dr. Kent spent explaining things to me and asking me questions that only someone with a lot of experience with jaw surgeries would know to ask. I knew he was more than qualified to handle my treatment and I signed up as soon as I could. Dr. Kent gave me his cell phone number after my first treatment and called me that evening personally to check up on me and answer any questions. Along my journey I met Dr. Foley, who is also very kind, patient, VERY knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to me. As I mentioned earlier the staff is absolutely AMAZING. Mindy and Veronica are my two favorite techs and Theresa at the front desk is SUCH a sweetheart. I have been a patient of Carolina Braces for over five years. I recently had my braces removed and love the results! I had a longer treatment time as my situation required more extensive work. Despite my long and extensive treatment, the staff was very courteous and polite with each visit. I never had a problem with any of the staff at this office. They are all so friendly and willing to answer the many questions I had. Mrs. Teresa has been apart of the office staff throughout my entire treatment and has constantly been so joyous and kind! It's really great to walk in to the practice and be met by a friendly and familiar face who seems just as concerned about your well being as Dr. Kent himself. Dr. Kent was very comforting and available during my treatment for questions and concerns. The office is very modern and kid-friendly. I have had to wait for a little while a few times but this isn't a usual occurrence. Overall, the atmosphere of the office is very inviting and the staff make sure to be personable with the clients. My experience with Dr. Kent and his entire staff was the best. I had 2 boys go through orthodontic treatment at Carolina Braces and Dr. Kent went above and beyond to make sure that their teeth were perfect before removing their braces. He spent time explaining what was being done on each visit and I never felt like he was "dashing in and out" of our appointments. In fact, he gave me his personal cell phone number in case any problems arose or if there were any questions about my sons orthodontic treatment ! How many doctors do that? The office is very clean and they even gave me a tour of their sterilization area which they explained rivals the same procedures as hospital surgery sterilization protocols. There are great amenities like coffee and juice for myself and my kids as well as a theater and several gaming areas which they love. It's been a long journey, but i wouldn't have it any other way. I am always welcomed with warm smiles and friendly faces and to me that definitely matters, because you never know the impact you'll leave or have on a person, and it's good to know i can always count on Brier Creek staff from appointment to appointment they're always happy and never disappoints. My all time favorite person there would be VasShun. She is always always super nice, takes care of me whenever I'm in her chair, asks me about my day and how I've been. I have been with Carolina Braces for about 4-5 years now and everyone there is excellent. From the front desk staff to the Financial Care Counselors to the dental assistance the customer service skills are awesome. They are always greeting you with a smile and keep you updated on the flow of your appt. The environment is charming and soothing. The prices are reasonable and the experience has just been awesome. Dr Kent and Dr Foley are very informative and patient. They give good details on what will happen at the present app and the future one. When services are needed that they cannot provide they recommended me to an awesome doctor who had the same demeanor as the Carolina Braces facility. After having problems with my bite (in this case biting myself more than my teeth) I went to several orthodontic offices including this one. After hearing doctors from other places talk about removing teeth and not listening to what I wanted this place was heaven. After visiting this place, I knew I found the right place. The staff was friendly and supportive. The doctor (Dr. Foley) didn't seem bothered with all my questions and explained everything in terms I could understand. He let me decide on my treatment but also discussed the options. The office is clean and inviting. The staff seems to be so cheerful all the time. I can tell they also love this place. My daughter got her braces on today with Dr Kent. I am so very impressed with the staff at the Sawmill Office, and Dr Kent truly does care about his patients. I expected to be passed off from one person to the next and get cursory attention from the orthodontist. That is NOT what occurred! Everyone in the office cares about the patients and are willing to take as much time explaining things as needed. Tammy is an amazing individual, and will go out of her way to make things happen! I need to reply to those who have expressed reviews that shed an unfavorable light upon this practice. I am a 63 year old man with braces, which is very telling in and of itself. I am a cynical, analytical man who demands excellence when I am a client. I love this team at Carolina Braces on Sawmill. They sincerely want to provide excellent service. I have no personal relationships with any of them so this is purely an honest opinion, unfettered by any outside influences. I cannot imagine anyone having a bad experience that Dr. Kent and his team would not do everything in their power to rectify. I suspect that client's inability to communicate issues is the cause. Carolina Braces is the bomb.com/ Their services are impeccable. I truly enjoy my visits every six weeks. I love the way my teeth are shaping. They are so thorough and explain everything they are about to do. The environment is relaxing and they are all so welcoming. The customer service exceeds my expectation. This is pertaining to the Brier Creek location (they also have a location @ Sawmill in North Raleigh). The staff at Brier Creek are top-notch, as is Dr. Foley, whom I normally see. (Dr. Kent is occasionally at Brier Creek but only on certain dates). The office itself is easy to get to with ample parking, and a great atmosphere for both kids and adults. There's coffee, free wifi, game stations, tv, etc. The appointments, as a rule, tend to run on time. The assistants are personable and professional, and certainly is Dr. Foley. Dr. Foley is the crowning gem of this practice and they are lucky to have him! Both me and my wife have been very happy at this office as adult patients! read more

Dr Kent and his team have been treating both our teenage sons for nearly 2 years and I highly recommend them. They clearly outline their orthodontia plan, offer flexible financing, and fit the boys in for appointments when the boys have a bracket loosen during contact sports or if they happen to eat something they shouldn't! And the video games, TV, aquarium and reading materials in the waiting room help kids and parents though we have never had to wait more than a few minutes for the kids to be called back for appointments. My daughter has gone to Dr. Kent the past two years and he is wonderful. His treatments are top of the line, the brackets and wires are top products not the cheap ones that take forever to move teeth. His offices are so nice but most important Dr. Kent is one of the best of the best orthodontist in the US. He graduated top in his class and has been doing ortho for over 25 years. I LOVE THIS PRACTICE!!!! Everyone is always so nice and pleasant. They go a long way to make everyone, even the youngest patients, feel at ease. Me and the wife had just moved to the area and she needed to get orthodontic work done. It wasn't an emergency or anything, but it was fairly urgent. We called around and some of the other places we tried calling, couldn't get her in for a week or two. Dr. Kent was able to see her within a couple days. My wife had a pleasant experience there and said that Dr. Kent and the staff were very courteous and very friendly. They also have an awesome, huge fish tank!
