She took her time with me as opposed to other dentists who just pop in for five minutes at the end of your appointment. Her assistant Gabby, was also really friendly and polite and tried to make the x-rays as easy as possible. Lynn at the front desk went out of her way to get me on the schedule and call my insurance to see what would be covered and when since I am on a recently purchased insurance plan. I had a really questionable dentist back in CA and avoided going to the dentist for a while when I moved out here. I guess you can say Dr. Schtakleff has restored my faith in dentistry :P. She didn't pressure me into fancy dental gadgets/procedures but told me affordable ways to manage my teeth and stop any issues before they get worse. She even did my cleaning herself! Another major plus is that the entire practice was crystal clean! Everything from the bathrooms to the sanitized tools, to the fact that both Gabby and Dr. Schtakleff are decked out in surgical scrubs! You had me at "hygiene."

They had not seen the dentist for any work. I went in because my tooth was killing me. I could not tell which tooth was hurting me because I was in so much pain. They did $345 of X-rays and the dentist looked in my mouth, NEVER TOUCHED ANY OF MY TEETH TO FIGURE OUT WHICH TOOTH IT WAS, she looked only at the X-ray and said it's two of my teeth. Sent me to an oral surgeon to have them removed. Well, they were not the teeth hurting me but now I don't have two teeth. She then would not send a referral over for the actual tooth that was killing me. I went to a new dentist and they said yeah that tooth has to be removed that it can't be saved. So now three teeth gone instead of one. I should have had the choice to remove the two teeth that were not hurting me. The oral surgeon is a whole other story. I told him no one had touched my tooth and before I spent $1000 to have them remove is he sure those are the ones hurting me. Well, as we know he made a mistake too. Total failure on them. A dentist and an oral surgeon should actually touch your teeth before removing them and do a cold test or tap test or something. I don't understand how none of this was done. I was in so much pain I was relying on a dentist knowing what they were doing.

Going in I was a little nervous because of the other yelp reviews but I actually had a really good experience. To note it did take me a long time as a new patient to get set up, I was in there for 3 hours for all the exams, x rays, cleanings and walkthrough of what procedures I needed. I don't think this is a bad thing as they want to gather as much info as possible on your teeth but be prepared to be here a while.

It was traumatizing so I won't into more detail. When I left I came to yelp to find a dentist close to me, and thank God I did. Premier dentistry had a long wait list when I called to schedule an appointment, but I didn't care because I knew that meant they had a lot of patients. (Which to me was a good sign). After going to them one time last year, I can safely say I see why they have to many patients. First - I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in their waiting room. Whatever way they schedule their patients needs to be adopted across the world. Every single dental hygienist i have seen in a year and a half has been nothing short of kind. Even their receptionists are always smiling and everyone looks like they genuinely enjoy where they work. Which makes you happy to be there too. Dr. Islam is the cutest little dentist ever. And I love it when she checks my teeth. She listens to my concerns and makes sure to do the best and most cost efficient solution. I ended up getting retainers there, (because I felt my teeth shifting and asked for them) and the entire process was a breeze from start to finish. Taylor, the whitening/bleaching employee was so cute and fun to talk to, and offered an additional case just in case I broke my other one. She definitely didn't have to do that, but I felt so seen and taken care of. I love this place. Even if I end up moving across the state one day - I will always come back every 6 months because this place is that great. Previously I seen a dentist in the ARMY which mistakenly read the wrong chart and drilled a tooth that did not need drilling. So for a first true experience I was painfully pampered by an amazingly awesome dentist. My dentist Dr Anderson poked and prodded and did a thorough exam making certain she left no area unattended or not examined. With grace from God my teeth were in great shape with only one minor cavity needing to be filled. Although I had a cavity it certainly was a blessing to learn of better ways to conduct dental hygiene. I also threw out a question of removing a filling and replacing with a true teeth color. When most people would have seen that as a easy dollar Dr. Anderson was very honest and advised against such a procedure. It is great to know of such people with great integrity. Assistants are friendly, and knowledgable about their jobs. I saw Dr Nina Thomas. Her exam revealed an additional medical problem I was not aware of. I am forever grateful for that. I immediately went to my medical doctor with this news. She has a pleasant, calming way about her. Being a nervous nelly -dental patient, this was very welcome. I had my husband switch dentists. The cleaning was bearable, the hygienist was super sweet and Dr. Polhemus was no BS, quick and efficient but still encouraging questions and offering advice. Left with a plan and my teeth look great.
