I'm not one to post a lot of reviews but my experience with Dr. Mysse and his staff was truly something special. From the moment I entered his office it was a caring (fun!) and professional experience. Waited no more than 5 minutes until taken back into the treatment room. Dr. Mysse greeted me in a friendly manner asking me general questions before asking me to "open wide". What I respected most was after the initial consultation he fully explained what needed to completed. Extremely thorough and in laymen terms. I just completed my first procedure yesterday. Again, professional treatment with all my questions answered. I can't say enough good things about Dr Mysse and his staff. Highly recommended. read more

Pros: My husband liked the dentist well enough The office scheduled my husband in fairly quickly after he had a crown (done by another dentist) fall out. They recommended us to a good oral surgeon when it became needed. Cons: We showed up for the first appointment of the day and my husband was left sitting for 45 min to an hour. No apology or explination for the wait. Our time has value, some sort of explination would have gone a long way. I had a hard time with the manner of the front desk lady. She was brusk. Poor billing communication. When we got our explination of benefits, it said we owed some money. (Normal insurance stuff, not the fault of the office.) I called and asked if I could just pay the extra before going on a long trip so my payment wouldn't be late. The front desk assured me that their calculations were correct and wouldn't let me pay because I wouldn't owe any money. I came home to a bill for the amount listed on the explination of benefits in my mailbox! Fortunately my check made it in time so I didn't owe late fees! read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Dr. Mysse and his wonderful staff and facility. I have some old crowns on my front teeth I'm terribly self conscious about. I walked in ready to finance a whole new grill to placate my ego. Dr. Mysse could have made bank over my vain neurotic tendencies- however he assured me that most people wouldn't notice my old dental work and while he could replace my crowns, he would feel like he was taking advantage. What dentist doesn't want to squeeze patients for every nickel they can?! A couple of months later I had an old filling fall apart. The first thing the receptionist asked when I called to make an appointment was if I was in pain and needed any medication until they could accommodate me. Fantastic services! Oh and the final selling point for anyone still on the fence- before any procedures are performed you are counseled thoroughly on the expected price of services provided. Most excellent! read more

Pros: 1. Dr. Mysse is awesome! He's incredibly nice, very thorough, and actually takes the equipment out of your mouth when you need to speak. 2. Scans and cleaning were very quick. 3. The staff are all very nice. Cons: 1. Dr. Mysse couldn't see me until 45 minutes after my appointment time due to an emergency patient. I wish they had told me either before my appointment or while I was sitting in the waiting room that it would be such a long wait. They were nice about it after the fact, but that's still 45 minutes I'll never get back. Overall, a great dentist. I definitely would have given them a worse review due to the wait if it wasn't for how awesome Dr. Mysse was. read more

The staff is generally, nice, and so is Dr. Mysse. The low rating comes from the fact that the tech messed up the x-rays, and that my secondary issue (a loose tooth, with a feeling like something is wedged in between the gum and said tooth) was not and is not resolved. It seems that something more could have been done for my tooth, other than a cleaning and removal of calculus (sp?), chances are that it's probably a piece of said calculus that's stuck, but instead of investigating further, he feels for looseness of the tooth, and says that it felt fine to him. I don't recommend them to ANYONE! They're not organized and just want your money! I went to them before and when I went to another dentist they found more problem with my teeth than dr mysse did. It's ridiculous! He made my situation worse than it already was! Cost me more money in the long run! I REGRET referring him to others!! read more

I had to change my dentist(who i was very happy with) because i moved to the Round Rock area. I found DR. Mysse based on reviews, and all i can say is that the reviews dont do him justice. This is the best dentist i have been to. His staff is nice and friendly, his office is not large, like others i have been in, but i love the fact that they didnt try to sell me anyting, like a local brand of new dental floss sticks. I only waited 5 minutes past my appointment time, and he performed the cleaning himself. Took time to learn a little bit about me which made the experince so much better. all i can say is if you are in need of a good dentist in the round rock/pflugerville area, this is the guy for you. read more

Emergency time is actually advertised on the web site, quite rare. However when I tried it out due to a real dental emergency, I was told "we're all booked up "! HELLO Isn't that the classic case for emergency time? If there's an opening then it's a scheduled appointment, right? False, phony advertising at best. I consider myself an attachment parent and it's rare to find other gentle parents and gentle doctors and healthcare professionals. My 18mo comes with me everywhere and nurses on demand. I went in because my porcelain crown had chipped, he got me in same day and the receptionist was very sweet and helpful over the phone and at check in. When I had to nurse, she smiled and didn't seem affected by it. When I was called back and they needed to do xrays, the extremely nice dental assistant asked my permission to have the receptionist hold my toddler outside of the room. Normally my toddler is very wary of strangers but the receptionist approached him at his level and offeres her arms rather than swooping him up and he took to her immediately and allowed her to hold him. She took him to play by the check in desk. The dental assistant explained everything she was doing and was very efficient and gentle and calm. They brought my toddler back in and the Dr. Mysse came in. He was thorough, down to earth, and knowledgeable without being rude or pushy. He respected my child and me. When I asked when I should start bringing my toddler in for dental check ups, he said that he would never force anything on a child until they were ready or it was a dire circumstance. He congratulated me for breastfeeding and talked to me about all the benefits of natural term breastfeeding. He even shared with me that he never liked the power struggle stance on parenting and that he never spanked his children and how much fun he had with them growing up because of it. He is such a wonderful and gentle man and he never tried to upsell anything. Very honest! Also- they did a fantastic job removing my crown and I can't wait to get fitted with my new one!!! read more

We went there for my wife to have her annual checkup. My family is new to the Round Rock community of Forest Creek, so we looked online for reviews to choose a good local dentist. Dr Mysse had good reviews and reportedly worked well with children. That was one of our criteria since we have a 2 year old. What a mistake! To give a little background, Eva is 5' tall and 103 lbs. First we were told to come early to fill out paperwork. We arrive 30 minutes early to be sure and find the office. We completed the paper work quickly along with insurance documentation. However, we still had to wait an hour after her appointment time before the hygienist tok her to a chair ...(1.5 hours total). My wife told the dentist that her teeth seemed generally a little sensitive and wanted to make sure she had no cavities, etc. They did a thorough set of X-rays and said everything was fine. As Dr Mysse started a routine cleaning, Eva told him it was hurting and asked that he take it easy. He said OK, and continued. Eva squirmed and tried to take the pain but he continued as if he didn't see her pain. Finally, screaming, she touched his arm to let him know she needed him to stop. Dr Mysse, immediately threw a fit. Without apologizing or considering that she was in pain he told her that he could not treat her because she had touched him. It seems strange any Medical Professional would feel fine with causing her to squirm and yell. At the same time he was upset and concerned that this tiny woman might touch his arm when he didn't slow down or stop hurting her despite screaming in pain! Dr Mysse rudely picked up her purse without asking permission, dumped them in her arms and told her to leave. He then turned his back and stormed away. We looked at his staff perplexed and they just shrugged and said we had to leave the office. On top of this, Dr. Mysse attempted to bill the insurance company as if he had completed a full dental cleaning instead of the 1 minute exam and cleaning of 2 teeth that he had performed. Despite his previous years of experience, I can't imagine letting him touch any children or any adult for that matter. It is not like my wife, son and myself haven't seen other good dentists in the past. Dr Mysse clearly has issues performing his work professionally! Regardless of whether he was having bad day, this is totally unacceptable behavior. Judge for yourself if this is the dentist you want to visit but you have been given a fair review of our experience. read more

I had a fear of the dentist for years, always dreading my next cleaning- but ever since starting to see Dr. Mysse I don't even think twice about my next appointment and am totally at ease while in the chair. We love Dr. Mysee! Dr. M and his staff are very kind. He's been our family dentist for more than 15 years. I made the mistake of going to Castle dental once about 7 years ago because it was near my home. It was an awful experience. I went back to Dr. Mysee. I don't know Dr. Mysee as he no longer works at Mays Street Dental. I have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Teresa Santana who now owns Mays Street Dental. I highly recommend her if you like a dentist who is personable, patient, gentle, and takes the time to educate you on the procedures. You walk away from each visit feeling like a more informed consumer which in my case feels wonderful. I have been to several dentists and they all seemed rushed and never spent the time to get to know you. Some where a bit more rough then others and after being to so many, I just figured that that was just how things were done. Dr. Santana has proved just the opposite. She is wonderful! She has chosen nice and profesional people to work in her office and you feel like you are more than a patient when you walk in the doors. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend her. VERY DISSAPOINTED and UPSET!! Went to Dr. Mysse's office to get some major work do and after consulting with the staff there they told me that all the work would be covered by my insurance and that all I needed to pay was my deductible. I got the work done and a few days later I get a letter from them stating that my insurance claim was denied. So I got stuck with an approximate bill of $1000. After talking to Maria at the front desk (which she was very unprofessional), I discovered that due to their/her "INCOMPETENCE" they did not verify the insurance claim correctly. They pretty much told me "to bad so sad" and advised me that if I did not pay them they would ruin my credit score. Do not use this Dentist....you might end up with a significantly large and unexpected bill you have to pay because of their inexcusable INCOMPETENCE. read more

I am the kind of person who doesn't go to the dentist unless I am suffering. My past experience with some dental practices in the area has left me wanting. I've found that they don't want to address the immediate problem. They first want to complete a full exam then schedule another appointment at additional cost to resolve the fundamental complaint. One clinic told me that they could actually take care of my problem right away but following the exam they told me that I would need a Dental Surgeon and they only had one on staff and my wait would be 2 months! Needless to say, they charged me for the exam and I was then on my own to locate a dental surgeon. That wasn't what I ask for when I went to that office. I was in a good deal of pain and needed it resolved right away. Dr Mysse takes a different approach. His first priority is to take care of your immediate need. In my opinion, that is the way ALL Dental Practices should operate! Dr Mysse and his professional staff are laser focused on listening to the patient, identifying the immediate problem, and resolving it first. That is what I expect from my dentist. I would also add that the follow on exam was without a doubt the most through exam I have ever had! I have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of his practice including his friendly, compassionate staff. As a result, I probably won't avoid visiting the dentist on a regular basis any more. read more

Dr Mysse is a great dentist. He does cater to cowards no question about it. He cleans your teeth and does not have a hygenist do it. The attention you get is very personal and caring. We have been seeing Dr. Mysse for several years now. He is straight to the point and gets it done. There is never a wait, and we are in and out of there in 30 mins for a routine cleaning. He's a no-frills doctor. You won't get a TV screen over your face, but I'm ok with that. I'd rather be in and out and on my way, and I get that with Dr. Mysse. He doesn't try to sell me on procedures I don't need. Will remain his patient until he retires! read more

I saw Dr. Mysse after desperately looking for a dentist near my job. I found him from his good reviews on Yelp, and I now know where the good reviews are coming from. The receptionist was very nice even before I came in for my appointment, and when I arrived, everyone was welcoming. The office is very homey and comfortable as well. The assistant did the intro work (X-rays, etc.), and Dr. Mysse came in and did the whole exam and cleaning on his own by himself. Usually, dentists and assistants are running around between patients, so I appreciated my first experience with a dentist dedicated to my cleaning entirely. Dr. Mysse was very friendly and comforting to my unnecessary cavity paranoia, and the cleaning was very quick--about 30 minutes. I really enjoyed my visit there, and I'm glad yelp helped me find this place. I would highly recommend this place to anybody in the area!! read more

Dr. Mysse was absolutely wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dr. Mysee and the entire office made me feel at ease and that is exactly what i needed because I was actually going to see him for a second opinion in regards to dental issues that i was concerned about. He answered all my questions thoroughly. He discussed everything that was on my x-rays and used a camera in my mouth so he could explain things about my teeth and gums while i could see it on a tv screen. I have always hated going to the Dentist however after finding Robert Mysse office I no longer dread the dentist office. He takes the time to explain what can be done but is not pushy about it or wanting you to spend thousands when it isn't absolutely necessary . He does your cleaning himself and also does follow up calls. You can also contact him in case of emergency no matter what time it is. His staff is friendly and helpful and actually seem to enjoy their jobs! I can honestly say I no longer hate going to the dentist.
