Hilltop Homes - Nicely renovated two bathrooms in our cabin with custom tile work.

Very happy with another project in progress with Hilltop. They just finished replacing three…read morewindows and a sliding glass door in the living room of our cabin. We could immediately feel the improved heat retention. They look and work great too. We're kicking ourselves for not asking them to do the rest of the house at the same time. None compares with the quality, personal concern, reliability, and appropriate pricing as Steve and Cindy Watt of Hilltop Homes have provided. We had a major kitchen remodel that Steve worked on. He listened closely to our desires and expectations. His quote was complete and detailed. He proceeded when he committed, and worked through the project, even with and around delays or problems with the other contracted companies. He was flexible to the challenges of the project, and to the input of other people involved. He made a number of decision on our behalf to make everything fit and look great. His attention to detail, and his effort to make the project result even better than we anticipated were noted all along his work. I specified, for example, lighting under the cabinets. He supplied LED lighting that can be set at two lighting levels and can be adjusted to focus on the wall or on the counter, an upgrade from my expectation. He could have provided cheaper fluorescent fixtures, but went for quality instead. The molding mitres throughout are perfect. Surfaces are plumb, flush, flat, and square- just the way they should be. Colors match perfectly and cleanly. He cleaned up daily every day I was there. Because I was unable to be present throughout the project, I depended on him completing his portion of the project, even though he was interrupted and delayed by other workers' delayed schedules. Our family was coming, and Steve worked extra hard to complete everything before the date our family was to be together at PML. His work was impeccable, accurate, and on time. When my wife and I arrived the kitchen was beautiful, and all debris was cleaned up and taken away. There were and have been no "surprises". Since then I have had a major emergency repair, requiring immediate attention. Without a contract signed yet, Steve secured the area so that no further damage would take place, recorded his observations of the area, and generated a quote to complete a repair. Because I live away from PML I had to trust his honesty and integrity in evaluating the situation. His quote was complete and reasonable in price, and I requested he perform the repairs. By the time I was able to come back to PML it had been completed and no one would be able to tell what he had torn apart in the area or what was repaired. I now have another task for him. When I called to ask them to do the repair, Cindy's immediate response was to insist that they go over, evaluate the conditions, and make their recommendations and generate a quote. I was so confident in their reliability and reasonable pricing that I would have been comfortable just telling them to do the job and bill me as the time and materials dictated. That is how confident and comfortable I am with their work. Sight unseen by me, if they told me that the work was completed, I am confident that it is and well done at that. Not only am I completely satisfied and pleased with their work, I would highly recommend them for any project, big or small.

Whittington Professional Services - Updated cabinet! Sanded old down then a couple coats of paint and new hardware.

Whittington Professional Services with Brandy Whittington in charge are not professionals in any…read moreway. Of course a bunch of positive reviews here were misleading for me as well and that is why I hired them. I did not realize that they "know" to do everything and sadly I soon realized that they do not know-they have no clue what they are doing. Positive reviews might have come from very simple jobs or what I think more of now hearing the horror stories from licensed tile people in the area who go to repair Whittington's wrongdoing - I suspect that those reviews are not even genuine. My experience is that Brandy Whittington and her team are incompetent and not qualified to do any services that they are offering to do. They fraudulently do a license requiring work without the license, so the most of their work is for the sheriff's office submission and financial fines if not more than that. Hiring them is just a burden on your budget and a big waste of money. They have the same approach for everyone starting the job and then disappearing with a bunch of excuses involving their private life stuff to ignite our compassion and understanding for their unexplainable delays while playing the game with us. They have no work ethics. I hired them to do the tile work for me in 2 bathrooms and on my fireplace and bathroom fixtures on my shower. All 3 are total disasters including the shower, that even my cleaning team when they came said that it was the most horrible tiling job they have ever seen. We had to put the bathroom out of use for my guests due to their failure. I gave Brandy Whittington another chance to redo only the bathroom wall as a test and besides failing for the second time to do the work-she broke my brand new tub on top of all the poor workmanship. I had to fire her and her team and they did not even bother to show up and check what was wrong with it. My friend who's a tile expert in another state kept telling me that every picture with updates I sent him looked like they had no clue what they were doing. I brought an inspector to my place when I fired Brandy Whittington's team and he said that their work is a teardown. Not to mention that they spent 4 weeks doing it. While the licensed team was demolishing Whittington Professional Services work in my bathrooms, they said that tiles Brandy installed would all fail and get wet very soon as it didn't have proper waterproofing and gluing. Every single step they did was showing the depth of their cluelessness about the job. My fully licensed team that redid the bathroom was done with everything in 3 days. If you want to risk your investment to fail right away-they are perfect for it. They pretend they do know everything, but in truth I haven't seen anything they have done to be worth even a penny. I am not done with them yet as I do not want them to be able to scam other honest people around ever again. They should face criminal charges in the court of justice according to the Section 7027.2 of a Business and Professions Code. I just found out that another victim of their negligence reported them to BBB due to the deck failing after Whittington Professional Services installed it. What can I say besides if they did ever any work for you - call the licensed person to redo it before anything happens. Good Luck.

Tim was responsive, well priced and was reassuring the drive way in which I was renting would be accessible... and he even went the extra mile to carve out a walk way from the drive way to the stairs.. and then sent me pictures of what was done. Very kind, responsive, communicated well. Will be saving his contact info for future needs! Thank you again, so much!

Viking fences - Beautiful fence we did on race track

I also appreciate that once he agrees to take a job, he sees it through to the end. Last summer, he and his team rebuilt my entire large, elevated deck and did a fantastic job. This summer, I was lucky enough to get a spot in his busy schedule to completely repaint my house and replace the siding as needed. While replacing the siding, he found some random electrical issues with the old wires but he just took it in stride and was able to get everything taken care of and fixed. I've worked with a lot of contractors and I wish more of them were as good as Jeff. I would not hesitate to hire him for any of my remodeling or house needs again in the future.
