We went with Reno's Roofing after talking with a few other companies. Talked to Roger on the phone and he promptly came over to give me a quote. Price was very competitive, which was better than most quotes that I got. Quote didn't include any plywood, but he threw in 2 plywood for free (only had to replace 6 plywood total, so paid for 4). We got our roof done during busy rainy season, so picking a date was a challenge. The project itself went well. On the first day of the tear down, I was surprised how fast and efficient the team worked. By the end of the day, roofing materials were already delivered, damaged plywood replaced and underlayment installed. They finished the project exactly on time, as they said they would. We asked them if we could get an inspection and quote of wet spots. The owner, Cristian got his ladder out and checked out the roof. Within a day or two, we got back a quote and the price was very fair and reasonable, especially for the amount of tiles that needed to be lifted and reinstalled. The work consisted of replacing the worn out underpayment at two areas on the roof. We signed the agreement and his crew came out the following day to do the work. Although it was over 100 degrees in blistering heat, the work was done quickly and professionally. They did a great job cleaning up the property after the work was completed. They even had replacement roof tiles ready, in case they broke any originals! I like working with A-Pro roofing because the price was great and the owner was extremely friendly and prompt to address our concerns. His crew was also respectful of the property and keeping things clean and orderly. I would recommend and use A-pro roofing again for my future roofing needs.. They are based in Palmdale, so I'm not sure what their normal work range is. They also brought their own Port-a Potty station and didn't need to access the inside of our house for their bathroom breaks or lunch period. Prior to starting the work, I had numerous questions and interactions with the office manager. The office manager was very efficient in answering all my questions and always returned my calls in a timely manner. The work went very smoothly with the first phase being the teardown, second phase was the sheeting and repair of the damaged wood and rafters, and the third phase was the actual installation of the new shingles and ridge cap. All crews that came out were very professional, thorough, polite, and hard working. The foreman on the job took responsibility of making sure that everything was being done correctly and at the same time listened to all my concerns. My concerns were being careful that my freshly painted handrails that wrapped around the garage were not scraped or damaged, I wanted my air conditioner condensers covered so no debris would fall into them and I also wanted my wife's plants protected from roof debris during teardown. The foreman assured me that all my concerns would be addressed, and everything would be undamaged and left the way they found it. In the end, the roofing job came out very nice and I was extremely happy with their work. They came through by sticking to their schedule and completing the job exactly the way they explained it. The whole process was easy and exactly what you'd expect from a good roofing company. They showed up exactly when they said they would, did a wonderful job and cleaned up before they left. Upon initial inquiry, Specialist Roofing & Repair was pretty quick to reply, so I scheduled a consultation. One odd thing is, when I scheduled, they asked if the would be seeing both my husband and I or just me; I find this a strange question as what if I wasn't married? It is awfully assumptive to think I had to have a husband, but I digress. Noah was scheduled to perform the inspection. He was running a bit late and called about 5 minutes after our scheduled time letting me know he ran into some traffic and would be about another 5 minutes or so. He showed up 20 minutes later and it was the oddest thing, he parked in my driveway. When he came up to the door he asked if it was okay and I said okay, but honestly, I found it really strange and just didn't want to prolong the appointment. Upon inspection, he seemed very knowledgeable and personable and did a pretty thorough inspection taking pictures and videos of the roof and surrounding areas. As mentioned, I am the type to obtain multiple quotes, so I expected that after he did the inspection, we would go over his findings and a few days later I would receive a quote. After he did the inspection, he showed me a video of something the other roofers didn't, which was nice as I like a thorough job, but then said he would be in touch with a quote. I received a phone call a few days later asking to discuss findings, but when I called back, I got an AI bot which was then followed up by a call back from a real person. Oddly enough, when they called, they literally said nothing. They asked if it was a good time to talk and I said yes but they wanted to talk when "my husband was around." Even though I said it was a good time, they said they would call back. I followed up via Yelp message. It has been over a week and I have yet to receive any quote from them. Needless to say, I won't be going with this company. They aren't willing to work with just a woman and are unresponsive.

We had a horrible experience with our solar company trying to remove the panels before the work from AAA Roofing was able to start. Lee and his team were extremely accommodating and flexible and they were able to move the start date multiple times to match the solar take off schedule. Anita and Gigi were very responsive to all questions we had throughout the pricing, contracting, and scheduling steps. The entire crew that worked on the roof was very nice and respectful. I bought my house in Sherman Oaks in 1997 and while I was out of town on work for a couple months…read moreshortly after moving in, El Nino hit. Fortunately, my garage (which was storing much of what I had that wasn't in the house) was the only thing that suffered damage, Unfortunately, most of my mementos were destroyed. I reroofed, and now almost 30 years later, with rumors are that El Nino is making a return visit, I thought (since we had suffered minor leaks during some of the recent rains) it was time to reroof, so I put Yelp to work to find me some people to interview. I picked five for the information I could glean, asking few questions, since I knew opening my mouth connected to a brain that knows little about roofing, would be a bad idea and also seeing if people were helpful with their explanations. Everyone (maybe except one) was personable enough for me to think I could work with them, but much of the information was kinda the same thing (although I noted some improvements in roofing since 97 that were useful to ask each about). The prices were more or less the same, and close enough that I knew I could find a point that would be roughly around the general price for them all, so it wasn't money. It was rapport and ultimately who gave me the greatest sense of trust. And. I learned, information that no one else told me. Roy, with Top Roofing was the ONLY one of the five that I saw who discussed the solar pool heating on my roof with me; each of the people I met with went on the roof. Not one other person mentioned it, and if you have solar panels on the roof - it's a consideration in doing the job. When I called the others who'd come to the house to say I'd made my choice and asked why I picked someone else I told them this - it was determinative that one person told me this was a job that needed to be done in addition to the roofing. He hooked me up with a solar heating company, he'd worked with before and I got on the phone with them and felt reasonably satisfied that between them and Roy it would get done on time, on budget. (It's not a small add-on to have them remove and reinstall the works, so if this affects you, be warned). Roy stayed in touch with me throughout - He came by and we spoke on phone daily. We had agreed that in the cost we he would completely replace and repaint a tongue-and-groove porch which was pretty rotted out) and aside from some permit forms I had to fill out, gave me a date of less than a week every date was kept. His crew was punctual, and so neat - the pool was covered, they cleaned up each of the five days they worked. Roy walked the yard with me before they started so I could make sure my gardener trimmed where he needed to, then walked it again, to tell me where we might need to keep trimming. He touched base with me every day, and when it was over gave me a video of the roof (both the main house and the garage were reroofed), and the porch which looked haggard now looks beautiful. I can't say enough about what a positive experience this was. And it looks really good. And since the last time I put on a roof, the tile now cools down the exterior which is good to have in an LA summer. The roof is up, the solar heating is back in operation. Let's go. A roof is an expensive proposition, and I think it's ok to know little if you hire someone you believe in (and, I'll admit, test out a little bit at the onset), who speaks to you in a way that is helpful and doesn't overwhelm you, but I think this was an incredibly positive experience in terms of labor, cleanliness, schedule and most importantly communication. I think that if you meet with a number of roofers, you will agree with me. I highly recommend...
