Our order was as follows: 2 Nick Jones burger platters 1 Vick Jones burger platter 1 Jalapeño burger platter Our first problem came from the menu. The Nick and Vick platters have names that are too similar for two burgers that are too similar in makeup. The burgers were all very good though. The mozzarella sticks were a little much but still tasted very good. The burgers came with what we believed were homemade pickles which was very refreshing and delicious. The buns were great, however the patties could have been a little better in quality. The fries were excellent. The location was our only other problem. Too far from any major city and the food was not amazing enough to make it a destination. Great place to stop if you are in the area but don't go out of your way to get there. The staff and service were both on par with a typical take-out burger place. A very solid 3/5 from the Five Guys.

I've…read morestopped here once before and left as a staff was smoking at the back of the bus beside the propane tank. I just didn't look safe. I was passing by a few days ago after picking up my girlfriend from work and she wanted a snack. We were close and driving by so we went into the park. We ordered a poutine each and although small (1/3 of Kalen's in Digby) it was good enough to eat. They are stingy on ketchup so ask for extra if you eat here. Before we could finish our orders both staff came out the back of the bus and sat on a table only a few feet from the propane tanks at the back of the bus. I know there couldn't be a propane leak as there was no explosion, but this is not how you test such a system. I'm not returning here as possibly exploding is just not making me feel warm and fuzzy.

See the lunch menu at http://www.thejeremiahsdeli.ca/lunch-menu.html Since it was Friday, they had Seafood Chowder (only Fridays) and I picked up a Small Seafood Chowder ($5.95 with tax) with a hard chewy roll provided to go with my lunch. The chowder was piping hot, which had a mix of seafood including lobster meat and fish in a creamy broth, not too thick. It was pretty tasty and not salty either.

By the time we found Lavena's I had had my fill of fried food. I was pleased to see the variety of options and fresh preparations available at Lavena's. We had the last of the rapure pie (an Acadian mix of potato and chicken), scallop and haddock chowder, and salted fish cake with green tomato chutney. Everything was delicious and NOT deep fried! The rapure pie was a new discovery for us and my husband found it hearty and comforting. The chowder was full of huge chunks of fish, potato and scallops with a nice light broth - green onions a simple but nice addition of flavour. The fish cake was good size, soft with a lot of fish. The lemon pie was light, lemony and not to sweet, a nice finish to the meal. I was hoping to come back for dinner after we explored Brier Island, but learned they close at 3pm (September), maybe they are open later during prime season. I'm hoping to return to the area and Lavena's one day!
