I called and spoke to a representative who said that the hourly rate was $190 and that there was a minimum of 1 hour service hence I owed $190 plus sales tax. I said I was shocked and did not expect this, to which she replied "okay". Terrible communication and lack of full disclosure of their policies. I am only giving two stars because Spencer was great.

He's covered our old adobe in the Guadalupe and totally replumbed a bad situation there, and he still covers our home and casita here in Santa Fe. He has been licensed and bonded, etc., for 31 years, has always done great work and is very responsive if you have a problem leak or whatever. He totally replumbed our adobe, he has installed a new boiler in our home, and myriad other plumbing situations involving heating and cooling both large and small. We were then told that the business owner would need to approve the continuation of the project. Four days later Adrian called to say the remainder of the project would cost $2,600. We opted to finish the project with another local plumber who we could trust. Art's would not be responsible for repairing the radiant floor pipes they damaged because we opted to finish the job with another plumber. We wouldn't use Art's Plumbing again if they were the last plumber in Santa Fe.

At that time, I called and spoke to Leroy, one of the owners, who assured me that they could get the job scheduled for shortly after Thanksgiving. He asked me to call him back the week of 11/27, which I did. Each time I called him, he was too busy and asked me to call him back later that day or the next day. After literally 4 tries, Leroy finally scheduled the job for 12/4 at 10 am. I called him on 12/4 at 9 am just to confirm that his crew would be arriving within an hour or so. At that time, he told me that my home warranty company had cancelled the assignment & his crew wouldn't be coming. I found that hard to believe as I have a lot of experience with my home warranty company and they don't just randomly cancel service assignments. So I pushed Leroy and he admitted that "his other owner" had cancelled it on Friday 12/1 but Leroy couldn't explain why since he didn't do the cancellation. This made me quite irritated and I told Leroy that I would be giving his company a very bad Yelp review. When I called my home warranty company, they told me that Leroy himself had actually cancelled the job with them on Wednesday 11/29. So at this point, it was clear that Leroy had lied to me in a number of ways. In the meantime, "the other owner" (that is how he identified himself) started texting me, apparently out of concern for a bad Yelp review, and told me that he had suffered a death in his family on Friday and that is why he had cancelled the job and forgotten to call me. I responded that I knew he was lying because AHS confirmed that Leroy himself had cancelled it on Wednesday, not Friday. It became obvious that this "other owner" was willing to tell any lie in order to avoid a bad Yelp review. Bottom line -- thanks to Enchantment Refrigeration, I have nothing to show for my 2+ weeks of waiting to get my shower valve replaced except a bunch of lies. I highly recommend avoiding this unprofessional firm at all costs for your plumbing repairs.

Called another well-known plumbing outfit in Santa Fe and scheduled the work. The day before the appointment they called and rescheduled for the following day. They called again and said that they couldn't make that day either and then scheduled us for two weeks later. I called Cartwrights at 4:30PM and was scheduled for the following morning between 7:30 and 9:30. WOW, the following morning we got a call shortly after 8:00 that the tech was on his way. Paul arrived about 30 minutes later and swiftly diagnosed the problem and started to work. Paul needed a part and drove into the supply shop and returned with needed parts to complete the job.
