There was a lady, wearing…read morea blue polo with AA Red Ball Taxi and Shuttle Service logo, who was attempting to direct traffic upon exiting the campgrounds - she was directing traffic exiting the campground left and told individuals they were not able to make a right turn due to traffic. However, if you made the left you would have to make a u-turn to get behind that traffic to make the right onto Knickerbocker. The lady was directing traffic without safety equipment and was utilizing the flashlight on her phone. She made a situation more chaotic than it needed to be. I told her I lived right off of Knickerbocker and needed to go right - then proceeded to call me a "fucking whore" in front of my two kids. As a business who maintains GAFB access - the GAFB MF&RC even recommends their services to military members - to provide shuttle services to our military, this behavior is unacceptable. As someone who is active duty and associated GAFB, if this company employs people who act like this - I can't imagine how they treat our military members when they use their services. *After speaking with Dolores (maybe company owner?), she stated she was going to deal with the employee regarding her behavior. Stating the employee will be "dismissed" and that type of behavior isn't tolerated by her company. Update: As of 11 July 25, this employee still drives for the shuttle service - Apparently, they didn't tolerate her behavior for just that one night.

I called a couple other places, taxis and other shuttle services, but Midland was the only one able to schedule a last minute pick up so I could make my flight. The driver arrived promptly and was professional and courteous. The shuttle was clean and we made it to the airport on time. They could have charged me anything since I was in a pinch but only charged their standard fee.

The first time around, the cab was horribly late, so I wound up having to request a ride from our client. The second time around, I called in advance to ask if they would have cabs running after midnight, since I needed to catch a red-eye flight. I was assured that they would be, but when I actually called to request a ride, I was told that there would be a three-hour wait(!!!). If not for the kindness of a motel employee, I would have totally missed my flight. I later learned that these were not isolated incidents and that they had a habit of running horribly late. Look somewhere else if you need a ride.
