If you want to be in downtown Christoval at a reasonable price, I can't imagine any of the other properties are better. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is to be reasonable with expectations. There were spiderwebs everywhere, black dirt in the freezer, mold in the coffee pot and dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. We literally had to wash every dish in the kitchen before we were able to use them. Multiple burners on the stove didn't work, there were several safety hazards in the flooring with cracks inside and outside as well as the upstairs glass sliding-doors and the lava hot water in the kitchen. They were also very picky about where we parked because we were going to "hurt the tree roots." Also, the owner rarely answers phone calls and if you leave a voicemail she will respond with a text. I had to request a few things to be restocked such as dish soap and toilet paper. She brought it over quickly with a few rolls of toilet paper and dish soap in a hand dispenser that looked like she pulled from her own kitchen. Definitely won't be returning to the Boathouse. It is worth the 20 minute drive to San Angelo just to stay in a place that is clean.

The room did not have any empty plugs so we had to ask management for an adapter. There is NO ice machine. They use a cooler and fill it with ice ( very unsanitary). The breakfast consists of bagels and muffins. If you want something warm you pay extra. The room was clean the bed was comfortable,but Not worth $155 + tax about $185 total.I saw a $100 charge on my account. They put a hold on your card.I called tonight to ask how long it would take to be released and was told it could take 4 days. Also was told I could be charged $5 for a make up stain on a wash cloth if it doesn't come off. UNBELIEVABLE.

The staff was very helpful with all thing requested I had a problem figuring out how to work the remote for the tv couldn't figure out the volume and the young man came to my room to show me and I felt less than able once he showed me how it worked. Gotta push up and down not in who knew. All in all a wonderful stay at an amazing place.

We came distressed after the previous rental car went into the ditch in the rain due to unacceptable, extremely bold tires, which we realized afterward when assessing the damage. We were stressed but Steve, with his calm demeanor helped us navigate through the challenge. He explained the process step by step, found a replacement car, even went to the lot to check the tires of the new car to assure our safe trip. He made sure we had the similar size of the vehicle and that the car was clean and ready. Steve's customer service deserves the best compliments and he definitely deserves a raise or bonus!
