The pictures shown online were spot on. The color of that golden browned tortilla is what made me stop in and glad I did. Great vibe in here and fun music. The staff is super friendly and helped me decide what to get. Will definitely be back!

Well after walking into this place for my very first time on Christmas evening, I only saw about 3…read moretables. It seemed very slow. They had upbeat Hispanic music, most of it was good oldies. I ordered their lobster flavored pasta with shrimp and it was spectacular!!!! Their sauce for their tortilla chips was very good too. The pasta was luxurious and very milky and creamy. Their bread rolls were dry and nasty. The restaurant is a perfect size. But after I saw that the pasta costed $15 ...on the menu, I was told that this price was only for the lunchtime menu. Their dinner prices run very high, so I'm understanding why their waitress told me that it's been very slow here lately. I paid an almost whopping $30 for the pasta which wasn't even a large portion either. Their fajitas were $23 on the menu, so ik I couldn't have been looking at their lunch menu. Now I REALLY wanna ...talk to the manager. NOWHERE ON THAT MENU DID IT SPECIFY LUNCH/DINNER. Makes me wonder if this place will even MAKE it or eventually shut down with these very upsetting prices.

(Española abajo) A special spot in Downtown Hollywood, with…read morea possibility of dual approach from either Hollywood Blvd (through a vehicular parking lot with no designated pedestrian pathway, however) or the building frontage on Harrison Ave. A charming place with effective decor for its small size and "tightening the belt" feel. The menu is a concise yet varied array of U.S. American and Mexican cuisine. BE ADVISED, burgers do not come with fries and are sold separately unfortunately, but as a counterbalance, they did surprise me with free tortilla chips and salsa! The Parcha Margarita (a.k.a passion fruit was particularly delicious, the fries were tasty and above average compared to the norm, and the Hawaiian Hamburger was delicious. The waitresses were very kind and accommodating, though they could be more attentive (though we know how busy times can get, of course). BE ADVISED Part 2, unlike most places in DTH, DO charge a 15% service fee (akin to a tip) - so don't let that trip you up (like it did to me); therefore, could be more expensive than you expect. Plus, it's in a walkable, easily accessible, multi-modal area with outdoor seating on a beautiful streetscape that makes it even better. All-in-all, a charming neighborhood spot with delicious food and delectable drinks, with good, kind staff - all at a price above standard.

My experience there was exactly what I expected and hoped for while staying at a nearby Airbnb: an authentic, humble Mexican taqueria. I visited on a Tuesday evening and was warmly greeted by a pleasant young Mexican girl working behind the counter whose primarily spoke Spanish. I ordered one shimp taco, one tongue taco, and some rice and beans. The decor is Mexiclutter, reminiscent of the small eating establishments I saw while visiting Tijuana. The small dining area includes 2 counters on opposite walls each accommodating 2 or 3 patrons and a small table surrounded by 3 chairs. After ordering, I sat at the table and watched a soccer match broadcast in Spanish on a small television while enjoying scrumptious, not greasy, tortillas served with tangy salsa verde. After a short wait, the woman behind the counter served me my tacos. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. I expected her to return with my rice and beans, but that didn't happen which was fine because I was no longer hungry after eating an entire basket of tortillas and both tacos. The tacos and a soda cost me around $13.
