Food is usually good. Me and my Girl's go to chicken spot after A long bike ride. The service is good depending on which waiter you have. The Ambiance of the restaurant could use improvement for sure but the food is usually great so I keep coming back anyway lol.

A no frills place. You can either wait in the long drive through line or park, go inside & get almost immediate service although the wait for your food is about 15-20 minutes. Even if you wanted, you cannot eat inside. The catfish was well fried & tasty although I couldn't figure out what the white dusting of powder was.

Tiny drive thru, after 43 mins waiting

Great seasoning.... Crabs are tiny so very little meat from them after you've paid for a pound of shells. The crabs are so young that they are still see thru. Shrimp was great. Fish is good. Late night ordering is a struggle. Be ready to wait at least 30-45 minutes at the drive thru. That lock the lobby for who knows when..... So all the Uber eats drivers are attacking the drive thru window while you're sitting there waiting to get your food. So now someone else's food is being passed basically through your car. I can pass on this place...... Ever again. Definitely not worth the cost. Side note: don't order the lobster tails 11 piece (2-4oz) $22.... They cut up one lobster tail into 5 pieces twice if you can imagine that nonesense.

After reading the reviews I was super nervous about coming here but I figured why not. I am glad that I came! I got the combo #11 with crab legs and stone crab. The wait was about 20-25 min and it was well worth the wait. The food was good and hot when it was given to us. We took the food back to our spot and it was amazing! It was seasoned just right! All I needed was some potatoes or bread to sop up the garlic butter with!

The food was good but the wait in the drive thru was ridiculously long. They should definitely work on that process to make the wait shorter. But overall I enjoyed the food and will go back. Maybe I'll try going inside inside of drive thru. I order their special 1/4 conch and shrimp with fries. Their food is well season and they have a special sauce that comes with the food that is great. The price isn't expensive but reasonable. I like how they have different types of specials you can choose from. They also have a variety of food to choose from.

    Fried catfish, 3 wing dinner

My friend was raving about Captain Max so I wanted to try it for myself. Not bad, I tried the fried catfish and wing dinner; it comes with fries and a drink... fries and wings were a bit warm not hot as my catfish but in all was really good. I will go back to try more.

Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yummmmmmmm. Love this place! It may nor look the best but the food is good. Don't be intimidated by the ruff outside exterior the worse looking places have the best food.

Stay away from this place, first the restaurant or mediocre excuse for a restaurant is disgusting the tables needs to be clean because it's soo darn sticky. The floors needs to be sweep and moped there are flies everywhere who knows if it touch the food or not. The lady taking the order was rude she didn't try to steer her customers in the right directions just stood there and stared. Once the food was ordered it took forever to come out longer than it should have. When I got the Tilapia and shrimp, it did not have any seasoning it was cold, dry, and undercooked. This was not what I was expecting I was expecting boil seafood they did not even have eggs or potatoes. Never coming to this place again.

Everything we had was genuinely good and we'd definitely come back. First things first: the pancakes are HUGE. Seriously, if you're ordering one as a side, know that one pancake is easily enough for two people to share. We also tried the Secret Lemonade -- and for anyone wondering, "secret" basically means it's made in-house. It was fresh and tasty, but definitely on the sweeter side, so just be prepared if you don't typically like very sweet drinks. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and really loved the flavor. The chicken was well seasoned, the biscuit was great, and overall it was delicious. My only small critique is that the portion feels a little small on its own, so I think it would be nice if it came with a side or something accompanying it. My husband is plant-based, and we appreciated that there was an option for him. He ordered the avocado toast along with a modified salad from the menu, which worked out well. Overall, solid spot with flavorful food.

Fluffy and sweet and not dry. Although I enjoyed my fried chicken biscuit enough to eat it all, it fell a tad short of my expectations. The biscuit and chicken were both lacking volume, the biscuit not fluffy enough and chicken not meaty enough. I couldn't pick it up without it all just crumbling apart. Menu claimed homemade biscuits, but maybe not made fresh that day? Chicken was wide but thin so every bite was just way too much breading and very salty. I would order something else next time. It's a teeny but charming restaurant that was packed when we got there. Luckily we were first on the list so got a table in 5 minutes. If there had been more people and a longer wait, downside is there's no room more than 2 people to stand and wait inside, and it was way too hot to have waited outside. Parking lot has plenty of space around back. All in all, it was a fun and cute spot to take my old folks for a family meal.

We've seen their sign for a couple of years now on Federal heading north between Hollywood and…read moreSheridan. The name never landed with us as it sounded like a standalone food court. It was the sign underneath that read, "Too tired to cook today?" that made us take notice. Looking at the online menu we found that it was not only a who's who of Latin dishes of different nationalities, but they also served bar fare - chicken wings, burgers, quesadillas, etc. Not knowing what their specialty was, we never committed to it. But today was one of those days where we felt like something different and we took a chance. The gamble paid off big. The menu was all over the place, so not knowing what direction to go in, I addressed the waiter who was all too ready to help. He pointed me to some of his faves: the Bandeja Paisa, Lomo Saltado, and Ropa Vieja. I'd had my eye on the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian stir fry dish. The Bandeja Paisa is Colombian, and the Ropa Vieja - Cuban. I asked him what the nationality of the ownership was, when he revealed it was Colombian. I was immediately skeptical of ordering the ropa vieja - being half Cuban, I could not fathom the idea of a Colombian-owned restaurant pulling this off. So Joe took one for the team there. The waiter assured me that everything he has tried has in fact been delectable. But hey, what else is he supposed to say? But no, he assured me these were not marketing words, but words of experience. So I went for the Lomo Saltado which was served with black beans and rice, and french fries. He didn't hesitate to vouch for the black beans... I think he sensed my Colombian skepticism. Joe had replaced his fries for sweet plantains, so I took his cue and substituted my fries for tostones. But, not before warning the waiter that I would be particularly particular about the quality of my favorite plantain dish. He gave me a confident nod - so I played along. Joe's dish came out a few seconds before mine, and being the impatient carnivore that I am, I (let's say borrowed) his ropa vieja before he had a chance to pick up his fork. I was very pleasantly surprised. On par with any old clothes I have tried at any Cuban restaurant... and even better than some, albeit in longer strands than I've experienced. However, extremely juicy, full of flavor and tender. Then came my Lomo. I'm a first-timer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was fan-tastic. A bit charred outside with a juicy medium innard that cuts like butter, and to my relief, deceivingly tender. The lomo napped on a bed of sautée-charred veggies whose sweetness was a nicely balanced contrast to the savory meat. The black beans were definitely on point and seasoned with Colombian love. And those ten-ton-tostones!!! By far the thickest fried medallions I've had, but with a brutally loud crunch and still a real easy chew. And unlike John Travolta in a black T-Bird jacket, totally Greaseless. Often times, tostones of this variety are tough and as chewable as week-old yellow paper mache. Nope, these are some of the best tostones I've had in a couple of years. But by far the best of their kind. I also borrowed one of Joe's sweet plantations which once again left no trace of greased lightning and were rendered a perfect dark brown with a nice and plush sunshine yellow inside. The portions were more than generous and the price was comfortably modest. I expressed my deepest gratitude to our waiter for his patience and his spot on recommendations. He also swore by their burger which he had just sampled for the first time and which is made partly with Colombian chorizo and served with a side of chimichurri. Chorizo and chimichurri for little cha-ching.... I'm sure I'll be chowing on that real soon. Food Corner is a cornucopia of Latin influences, and so far, it's also a master of two of them. (We were too excited to take photos)

The ambiance was really solid and the service was great. Our server was friendly and gave some good recommendations. For food, I ordered the birria quesadilla and the Voodoo Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. Both were really good, but the Voodoo Cajun pasta was definitely my favorite. It had a nice Cajun kick and the chicken and shrimp combo worked perfectly together. Super flavorful and honestly one of the better pasta dishes I've had at a place like this. The birria quesadilla was also really good crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also tried two beers that were recommended, including an IPA, and both were great choices. The girls working the floor were friendly and doing their best, but the problems here go way beyond them. This feels like a corporate issue, not a staff issue. The food was cooked in seed oils, which already kills the quality and flavor. You can taste the heaviness and the cheapness. For a place that markets itself as a craft‑beer spot with elevated bar food, that's unacceptable. Then the check came and that's where it got worse. Corporate is nickel and diming customers with extra charges, little add‑ons that don't go to the servers and don't improve the experience. It feels sneaky, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even walk out. The staff is paying the price for decisions they didn't make. They're trying to be nice, but the system they're working under is broken. Overall: Good people, terrible corporate practices, low quality cooking oils, and a bill padded with nonsense. Not worth it.
