I came here a few years ago and I used to eat at another location that's closed now, that owner had great specials. It was good then and this was very good this visit. Maybe I hit a good fry night, we came in during a lull, but shortly after I ordered, it became packed with customers. I got the fried snapper dinner with the 10 shrimp which was $13. The shrimp was a little smaller that my last visit a few years ago, but still tasty. The grouper filets in my dinner were phenomenal, two decent sized filets, not fishy at all, fried just right. Seasoned nicely, not oversalted. My fries were simple and hot. We ate inside, there were a couple of tables and some chairs. It was clean at that particular time. I give it 4.5 stars and round up for counter effect. read more

Tried the tilapia and it's pretty good. Batter wasn't heavy or thick. It appears that I came on the right day because, the oil was clean. Therefore, the fries and tilapia came out light and crispy although it was a bit too salty and that's why I didn't give a 5 star. read more

I usually get their conch and Fries, which is made to order to make sure that it's fresh. It can be a bit tough but that comes with conch sometimes. I've had their snapper as well as their catfish and the bites. Those are good options as well if conch isn't your thing. Nothing crazy to say here but the food is always hot, tasty and fresh, can't beat that. read more

Came here today for a pick up order that I made online. I am traveling from NY and just wanted some good fried fish and that's when I found Moby's. When I arrived to the restaurant to pick up my order, I asked if there were utensils and condiments in the bag. The young lady behind the counter told me that they have no condiments at all (ketchup, tartar sauce, hot sauce). The young lady then suggested that I go to McDonalds and see if I could get some condiments. I have never heard of an establishment telling a customer to go to another establishment for condiments or anything else that should be part of the order. And on a Saturday to add. Such a disappointment. Every time I come home, Moby's is the first seafood restaurant I come for, for conch and shrimp. My family and I ordered over $60 worth of food and what a disappointment we got. The cooking oil definitely needed changed. The food was dark and it smelled like old oil. The food was done and the two ladies in the front didn't even say let me know my order was ready. How would anyone know if it's crowded in the restaurant for take out? The chicken wings still had feathers on it and the restaurant served drinks with no ice, really? Sad!!! I know I will not return. read more

One of the best places I've had for fried chicken. That's the only thing I've had from here because I love it that much. Every time I order it's hot and fresh. I always get it delivered except for one time I stopped on the way home and they were only accepting cash which was an inconvenience. I would give them 5 stars but the customer service needs a lot of work. read more

Just ordered two catfish and shrimp meals from this location and I must say the food was excellent. Both meals were hot and fresh, perfectly seasoned,and both meals came with ample amount of fish,shrimp,and fries. The cashier prior to me asking for condiments already threw in a few for us too. Been coming here for years, busy sketchy strip plaza facing University Dr, Parking can be congested. This Is mainly a NO frills Fried Fish & Chicken Wing shop puts out good size & consistent fried Grouper or Snapper fillet dinner w/ well seasoned French Fries. They also have good whole chicken wings combos 3 to 50 pieces. Service is robotic, but fast, only a few tables to sit, No rest room. No trash can, No diet sodas, Most people get it to go. Desserts always look decent. Good food, Decent price, in a Mediocre place. read more

"I usually order here every now and again and it has never been a problem. Food is always good and customer service was always normal. When I ordered Friday however it wasn't the same case. I was on the phone with Genesis placing an order and when we were getting done with the order I wanted to let her know that my girlfriend was picking up the order and not me. Just in case there was confusion. So she must have thought she hung up the phone already (which she didn't) and I heard her clearly say "Well i don't care and you didn't have to say all that." This was by far in the top 3 of worst customer service experiences I've had with ordering food. I wanted to just believe i was imagining it but I wasn't. I felt completely disrespected and it was further confirmed when my girlfriend picked up the food and she had a similar story." read more

Moby's chicken tender and fries combo is the best. The tenders are meaty and I love the breading on them. You can get them plain or with sauce on, I usually prefer them plain with BBQ on the side. The fries are also delicious with lemon pepper salt on them. Oh and can't forget the conch fritters...yum! read more

For fast sea food it's ok . My daughter had the lobster tail which she likes .. The jumbo shrimps are good .. did not enjoy the conch salad . Don't call they don't answer the phone or too busy so not taking orders . Not the best customer service but food on its meet the mark read more

Don't even deserve a star. fries , look like it wasn't cook fully. Had to go home and stick them in the oven. The cashier put me on hold for 45 mins Had to come in and place my order, while still on hold by them.......very disappointed. Never again read more

Place is disgusting. The kitchen is beyond filthy. Chicken wings on the floor. Lemmon pepper all over the table , ketchup on the counters. Whoever owns this needs to understand that when you have an open kitchen you need to have higher standards when it comes to the cleanliness of your restaurant. We walked in to order and after seeing the kitchen we walked right out. Smh read more

I don't understand some of the reviews about bad service, not my experience at all and I literally just left. It's almost 3 pm and the orders coming in are crazy - imagine during peak times. Regardless, I found the staff friendly - maybe not overly so but hell, they're busy. Onto the food: the batter is amazing but I don't necessarily recommend the catfish. It was not bad but I'm from Mississippi so I'm a bit biased. The shrimp were fantastic, hush puppies need onion mixed into the batter but still ok and the fried mozz stix are great. Did anyone have the snapper from Moby's yesterday??? IT WAS DISGUSTING!! Tasted like it was fried in old grease and basted with a dirty mop. I spent $35 on 12PC pan of snapper. I was pissed and couldn't take it back because they were already closing and OF COURSE they don't answer their damn phone. they probably wouldn't care anyway because customer service is not on the top of their list. I will never eat here again and I don't recommend it unless you want to get high blood pressure (because it's ALL so salty!) read more

The cracked conch dinner is tasty and a good portion. I love the crab cakes, it's artificial crab meat but super yummy. They do season everything with a lot of lemon pepper salt so if you don't like that ask them to skip it. Overall great bang for your buck, and don't forget to get extra conch sauce read more

I come here for the conch only! I have never tried anything else except a dessert or two. The conch hits the spot. In the area that I live, fried conch is unheard of so I have to go kinda far for it. This happens to be the closest place for me and although the conch isn't the best I've ever had it's okay...serves its purpose. I've eaten here about a half dozen times and the problem I have with this place is, it's not always the same. Sometimes it's super tender, sometimes not, other times seasoned to perfection, other times not enough salt or too damn much. Either way, I'll be back when I get my craving because if there was someplace better and close, I wouldn't come here to begin with. They also serve dessert and honestly, the desserts have never been a home run. They display them right up front to tease you but don't expect homemade because it isn't. I had the red velvet...not great & the lemon...blah! Overall, I utilize Moby's as my 'I'm really craving conch and I have no place else to go' place for fried conch. I wish i could give no stars this place is SO DIRTY I MEAN FILTHY and i know they have roaches the girl at the counter lacks customer service she just walks up to the register and stares at you doesn't ask how may i help you or nothing and the food is horrible i didn't see the filth until after i got my food and i was stretching my neck to look pass the counter into the kitchen and it was filthy the snapper taste like they don't season or clean it they just throw it in batter and fry it it taste like it had just came out of some dirty lake water behind the building read more

I usually don't have a problem here but tonight I was highly upset. I ordered 2 large snappers and drove a far distance in the rain. I paid in advanced and waited nearly 20 minutes to find out that my food had been given away to someone else. I was then notified in a rude manner that they were out of the fish I ordered. The cashier just shrugged it off as if it did not matter or she didn't care that not only had I been waiting but she had given my dinner away. I don't believe I will ever eat here again. read more

If you're trying to call ahead they NEVER answer, even though it's empty but the food so FIYAH I put up with it lol. I usually get the buffalo shrimp combo, its mad spicy but taste so good!!! Highly recommend you try. read more

This spot also has karaoke which I heard they only do on specific nights but if you know the people who work there, they allow you to karaoke whenever. They pulled out the karaoke for this night but it was mostly just Vietnamese songs which is fine because that was the crowd that was there. Overall, still a cool place if you have a large party but interested to see how the other food options are if I visit again.

For our mains, I ordered the Cilantro Ranch Chicken Sandwich -- Tillamook Cheddar, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Smashed Avocado, Cilantro Ranch, and Seasoned Mayo -- but asked to swap the chicken for grilled mahi. My wife ordered from the gluten-free menu and had the Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon with Wasabi-Buttered Mashed Potatoes and Asian Slaw, which she raved about.
