The wait in drive thru line is terribly long. It took me 1 hour to get food. I had to wait 30 minute for the person in front of me to get order. Then another 30 minutes for my food. Usually I go and the food is great that's why I travel out of my way. Today I went through the drive-thru that was crowded and ordered 2/6 piece wings and fries for $17 and some change. I got home just to see the fries was cold & the wings looked old and also taste old. I was pissed! I order a combo #4 the 1/2 conch four wing meal and the drive thru took more then 30 mins and my conch was still chewy and under cooked

This place really amazed me when I saw the variety of seafood they carry. Especially when I saw They sell King Crab legs! I was sold! I gotta say for $18.99 a lb. It was a heck of a deal for the amount of meat you get in each of those legs! Now that garlic butter they season them with was absolutely amazing, not too salty but just right! Definitely will be a place to visit more often whenever I'm in the mood for the some good king crab without having to break your wallet at a high end restaurant that will cost you triple the price and probably not taste as good. Now if you are a super ficial , very plastic and refined person you will most likely not like to come here since its not the prettiest place but most great foods come from places like this that focus on taste of their food and not ambience. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want to eat some delicious fried food or stuff yourself with yummy crabs! So we were in Miami for our spring break week and my parents are big fans of authentic seafood -- we googled some, "yelped some" and ultimately came by Captain Max. Now I'm going to be COMPLETELY honest in this review and say...the outside isn't so inviting. They offer a really, REALLY slow drive thru option and I did see some customers go inside but it's not a restaurant you'd sit down and enjoy a plate of seafood at. More of a grab seafood and enjoy outside at the beach or in your room/home. The worker who took our order/money could've been a lot more knowledgeable on their food and coupon policy. As I'm a couponer, I went online and there was a 10% off coupon online and tried to use it and she said "let me ask", only to return to say it must be printed which was NOT stated anywhere online. Now let me get to the food, it was heavily seasoned which wasn't a problem for us, it was hot, and pretty reasonably priced. For a "drive thru" the food was unmatched. I'm typically very satisfied with what I order and today was no difference with the exception of the conch salad. It was my first time buying conch salad from here and most definitely my last. The conch was hard and super rubbery. I also ordered Jumbo Shrimp and Fries and Wings and Fries which were both awesome. You will definitely wait a while but for the most part, it is worth it. Today there was obviously a problem with the cook. I ordered conch fritters that were overcooked and grouper fish that was undercooked. I have been a customer for a long time but today was my last time. The fish was practically raw underneath the golden brown breading. I called and told them about it. I hope they do better. This place gave me an order that they refried. The plate had less than I payed for. In addition some of the conch tasted sour. I was deeply disappointed. My wife and I were visiting from San Bernardino California area and I am very happy to see that this restaurant along with good food also has armed employees who risk their lives to protect. I wish all businesses would take the terrorism threat seriously and do the same. Maybe they should pay employees who carry a little extra. We love the fried Tilapia and Catfish Fillets with the sides, and are looking forward to ordering their King Crab legs and Hush Puppies. Service was terrible here. Only two people working and the cook was taking calls while counter girl handles drive thru and front counter. She asked cash or credit and when I said credit she said the credit card machine was down...wtf why even ask.
