Stopped in at Road Runner Sports yesterday to pick up a new pair of running shoes, and I was really impressed with how quick and easy the whole experience was. When you walk in, you give them your name and they let you know approximately how long the wait will be while they help the customers already there. They told us about a 5-minute wait, but I was looking around at the shoes and the time flew by. The lady who helped us was super nice and really knew her stuff. I had several questions about the different shoe models, and she was able to explain the differences and help me choose the right shoe for me. Having someone knowledgeable there made the decision so much easier. The entire experience took maybe 15 minutes, and I was back out the door and on my way to my next errand. Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, and a quick and painless shopping experience! read more

Happened to be in need of some shades due to this crazy heat, and they have Goodr; which was exactly what I was after. Just so happens they also had a shoe release for On Running the same night and a large community event. Pop-up beyond 5k run, all pace groups and very welcoming. The On team and the Road Runner teams worked well together and put on a great time to the local running community. Be sure to give them a follow on community events and participate. Well worth the pop through and they have a multi-day community driven run club if you need differing miles options (currently Thur / Sat). read more

The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . Beau helped me find some shoes for training. We tried several brands and I finally found a pair. I also bought a couple of pairs of socks. Normally I buy my shoes online but Beau was so helpful I decided to buy them in store. Because I joined the VIP program I was able to get 10% off my purchase . If I ever need another pair of running or training shoes I would definitely get them at Road Runner Sports. read more

I came into the store because I just got into running more and I needed some running specific shoes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do seem to be running around a lot and may be a bit understaffed but are able to manage it well. They definitely work as a team at the store. I've been in multiple times so I've seen it happen each time. After going through the fit process, finding my shoes, and leaving and being so satisfied, I brought my husband back for the same process and he was also very impressed. Some of the stuff that they did not have in stock, they were able to order it and it gets to my house within two days so I have no complaints. Really enjoy the store and being a member and will definitely be back. They also have a great perks system for their VIP members. read more

Noland was absolutely incredible! He was beyond helpful in isolating where my foot pain stemmed from and setting me up with the perfect everyday shoe to fit my needs. He was so personable and made our experience there so wonderful. If you go in, ask for Noland! read more

V helped me looking for new running shoes and she did a fabulous job! She was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend her advice in your shoe needs. read more

The employees are always polite and patient. They seem to be chronically understaffed and they bounce back and forth between customers. I probably won't go back as they do not have many wide width shoes for women in stock. Also, they seem to have issues in even ordering them. I ended up ordering my shoes from Amazon due to their inability to order what I wanted. read more

Definitely customer service needs a lot of help. Not helpful and rude. Avid runner came in from Texas and was not greeted nor asked if I needed any help finding the perfect running shoe! Prices are much higher as well.. read more

The service here was great. Brad spent the time with me to get the shoes that met my needs. The didn't try to push any gimmicky or upsell me. Highly recommend to get the right shoes. read more

I've been shoe shopping for weeks with no success. Terrible selections, terrible customer service. A friend recommended I check out road runner. I was shocked by the exceptional service! Brad immediately greeted me as I walked through the door. He was beyond helpful. I learned so much about my feet and realized I've been buying the wrong shoes all long. This was a life changing experience. I strongly recommend. Thank you for all the help Brad! read more

My wife and I stopped in for a shoe fitting today. The store was busy and they were short staffed. However, I didn't feel we had to wait long at all. Despite being short staffed, we also didn't feel rushed through the process. We worked with Beau, and he was very helpful! He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We discussed the products I needed specific to my walking style and he communicated his recommendations well. I'd definitely return to this store. Beau did a great job! read more

Brad was great helping me. He first did a foot scan to help me see my sizes arch size and my foot overall health. It helped to narrow down the right shoe. After trying 8 pairs on I left with the on cloud go and they are so comfortable. I ended up buying a 3 pack of socks as well. I have their membership now and I get 10% off my purchase everytime. read more

Brought my mom shoe shopping, and it is no easy task, but Jenny was up to the task. She was so patient, she brought my mom about 10 different pairs until we found the magical pair. She gave amazing customer service, and talked me into my next pair too. read more

Another WONDERFUL experience here today! I am loving the new store which is only 2 doors down from the old location. I came in here to exchange a pair of shoes I'd been wearing for the last 5 weeks that just weren't working out so well. I love the perks of being a VIP because I get 90 days to love my shoes or exchange them.. which I rarely ever do honestly. Amy was the sales associate who helped me and she was awesome. We talked about socks, insoles and my gait and ultimately decided that in this particular shoe I would need to go up a half size. They had a pair in stock and I was on my way within just a short time. The store is also dog friendly which is a huge plus in my book. My pup really enjoyed giving everyone kisses and checking out the new spot. There are so many reasons that I love Road Runner Sports and the friendly staff is definitely high up on that list! Thanks for another wonderful experience and a great pair of sneaks! read more

I'm new to running and had been making various purchases online for shoes, apparel, and gear. After receiving a sale notification email I went to this store for my first in-person shoe purchase for their VIP Outlet Sale and was dazzled. I instantly bought two pairs of shoes, running tights, and a hat. Unfortunately, nothing fit. However, their customer service was A+ and I was able to receive credit and switch out the ill-sized items. I highly recommend this running store, especially for new runners who aren't used to performance gear fit and pricing. At Road Runner Sports you can relax; you won't get stuck with expensive things you can't use. read more

I started 2 months ago buying online from rrs . I purchased 6 pairs and only received 3. I kept getting emails pushing back the delivery dates. When I decided to call they pushed the dates back again. I finally just cancelled my orders including my vip membership. Do not trust their website when it says "in stock ". Their customer service rep on the phone sounds like a bored teenager who puts you on hold and picks up the line and asks " Are you still there?" Like she was hoping I would just give up. Avoid this seller! Not customer friendly! read more

I'm really surprised by some of these reviews on here. I had on Sunday, like I've always had, a very professional and pleasant experience here. I am not a runner but I have some unique issues relative to my feet so I require some intelligence about the kind and type of shoe I wear. My son, however, is a competitive runner. We both came in this weekend to get some new shoes. He needed middle distance spikes, something I have no knowledge of. Our sales associate, Dani, took time to explain the features and issues surrounding the various types of spikes and what we should be considering. The place was extremely busy and she did a phenomenal job balancing customers and never making me feel anything but important. She also spent a great amount of time with me getting the right brand, size and model for me. Look, if you want some intelligence about serious athletic footwear, go here. It's not for everyone but if you run or are seriously athletic you know how important your feet are and you will take care of them. read more

I have been impressed by this place. They have always had staff to help you. This particular evening I was greeted by Zach. He was very patience in showing me the difference between style and comfort and how someone like myself who has a very high arch will benefit in getting a shoe that doesn't have style but great comfort. We went through the system and he even spent "after hours" to finish the fitting. I have taken these Saucaony's out on a run and it was impressive. Thanks Zach for helping me. read more

We have been going to Roadrunner for our shoes and custom insoles for about 2 years and they're worth it. This is not the place for the cheapest shoes but the employees provide great insight and the shoes are high quality good value. We just went back for my husband to get his stride reevaluated after double ankle surgery and Dani, who helped us, was fantastic. She answered our questions and provided thoughtful answers and options. read more

I would recommend these guys to anyone who is serious at the gym or CrossFit or running. Great customer service they have a great reputation. I got my first pair of insoles custom-made custom fit and they can show me why I needed the insoles and where corrections needed to be made in my gait and posture. Great people good customer service very friendly And of course they were masks and are sure to give you safe distance read more

I had an excellent experience at Road Runner Sports with Hope. She helped me find the exact right shoe for walking on rocky trails. She encouraged me to try on several pairs and never rushed me. The technology was wonderful, plus with a $20 membership I had the ability to bring the shoes back if they didn't fit. They fit perfectly! read more

They're really aggressive here with you-- multiple salespeople come up and bother you. They really don't allow you to browse. If you don't have the VIP membership, they treat you like crap. I'd have spent more money on some accessories (didn't need shoes), but the guy was so pushy that I bought one thing and left. Take your business to Sports Authority on Sheridan-- they're really nice and leave you alone! read more

What a GREAT store. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. If you are a serious (or not so serious, like me) runner, this store is for you... I bought Five Finger shoes and have been very pleased with them. For $20 you can purchase a VIP membership (10% off future purchases, 90 day shoe guarantee, etc.) Run on in to this store before your next race ... you won't be disapointed... and your feet will love you. read more

I went through the shoe fitting process, was talked in to custom soles, bought the custom soles and shoes and experienced shin splints two runs in. I stopped wearing the custom soles and reverted to the soles the shoes came with and my splints lessened. YEARS later, I was charged a $24.99 fee for the Roadrunner VIP club. Hmm.. I didn't sign up for that, despite your harping on me to do so, Roadrunner. Sneaky! I do not recommend this store. If you're looking for a good shoe store, go to the experts at the Boulder Running Company. They will thoughtfully put you in shoes that will enhance your life. Oh yes, and won't charge your card years later. read more

While they certainly know how to sell a shoe, I cannot say that I am happy with my overall experience. Three seperate people tried to sell me the VIP thing ( a membership fee for discounts? I don't know of any retail chain that does well with that kind of rip-off.) and I declined all three times, explaining that the shoes were actually cheaper with the sales price alone and without the $20 "sign up" fee. I went in simply to browse and look at possible, future shoe purchases. However, I immediately was sat down, did the whole foot analyses thing, and was trying on several types of shoes. While that speaks highly for their selling ability, I felt very pushed and uncomfortable. The salesman working with me never asked what I wanted, even after I told them I was logging more than 30 miles a week and had been running competitively for over 5 years! I had a pair that I wanted after a bit, but only in a certain color. My companion was trying to find it online for that size and color, but the salesman insisted it was discontinued and they'd never find it. Next thing I knew, I was up at the counter. A woman behind it was VERY pushy with the whole VIP thing before. I was considering it before that, but when she pushed me to explain why I was saying no and seemed, well, mean about the whole thing, I decided against it completely. Lo and behold, I ended up somehow buying a pair of shoes I wasn't in love with. As soon as we walked out the door, my companion found the right color and size online for cheaper. So, RoadRunner, a word of advice from a customer. If your sales people are too pushy, even if they are successfully pushy, I will be returning those shoes because I don't actually want them! I can always return them, and that comes to no profit in the long run. Furthermore, I was so put off by the experience personally that I won't be coming in again, even though I liked more of your merchandise and prices. Overly pushy and sub-par friendly salespeople will just get you a lot of returns and a loss of repeat customers. read more

Who can know if a running shoe is going to work without first running in it? Well that's where Road Runner comes in. First, they have an awesome Shoe Dog fit program to help you find the right shoe for your particular running style and your particular issues. And, if that doesn't get you the perfect shoe then they have an awesome return policy so you can take the shoes for their first run (or two) and if you decide they aren't for you - return them and find one that's more suitable! The staff here are awesome and the VIP membership it totally worth it. Plus they now have a great selection of barefoot running, and minimalist running shoes in addition to all the "traditional" shoes. Come on in and give them a try for your next pair of shoes - you won't be disappointed! read more

Annoying to walk in and within 1 minute have their marketing scheme pushed on you to become a VIP member. The sale starts immediately and their attitude will go on the negative if you just want to look at shoes, try them on and buy. You might think the service and experience is great if you are the type of person who enjoys the gimmicks of retail. read more

While the staff was friendly, they were entirely too pushy with the upsell on their VIP program. I've worked in outdoor retail long enough to understand how a VIP / membership program works, once I say that I'm not interested that should be enough to have the salesperson drop it. I don't feel like I shouldn't be required to sit through an interview on where else I buy my shoes (I'm sitting on fifteen pair right now, so, a couple places...), nor do I care that I could have saved three dollars on my purchase. NOT INTERESTED. Once I made that clear, the level of service and friendliness dropped off considerably. Also, perhaps they could open another register instead of having the entire rest of the staff chatting with the Brooks rep while I wait to give them money. It was a bummer, since I had very high hopes for this store. They do have a pretty great selection of footwear, but that was about it. Most of the apparel looked to be their own brand or the same Nike stuff you can get at Sports Authority. This is probably an OK place if you're just getting started out running and live in the area. But, if you're already pretty established and just want a place to gear up without being hassled to spend more, this is not it. read more

I am not a serious runner or athlete but the folks here made me feel welcome anyway. I needed new running shoes and they put me on the Shoe Dog thing and had my gait analyzed. I thought it was a bit gimmicky but it pointed me to a brand of shoes I've never tried. And my feet love me for it. And I love Road Runners for it. They have a wide selection and the sales people are most concerned about getting the customer the right equipment. And the stuff isn't any more expensive than other shoe stores (Fleet Feet, etc....) I will definitely be returning. read more

The staff is a little aggressive to the point you can't even take your time. It's worse than buying a car.

I started running two years ago and went from not being able to complete a mile to my first full marathon. No matter where my skill level or how much I knew they never made me feel uncomfortable or like I was being a pain. I've always been treated amazingly. Some of the prices might be a little higher than you might find online but the service is beyond worth it. I joined the VIP club because you have 90 days to run in your shoes and if you don't like them for ANY reason you can bring them in and exchange. I've done this twice on some shoes that just wore out and there was never any push back or feeing like I was bothering them. The service here and the company policies have made me a customer for life. read more

While awaiting my wife's hour and a half massage appointment to finish, I explored the shops in this area and stumbled upon this running store. "YESSSSSSS", I said, though an hour in a running store is very, very dangerous for me. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and told to just ask if I needed any help. From there I was able to browse around without being bothered, which is great. It's always annoying when you've got tons of employees constantly on you for help. After perusing and jotting down some good Christmas gift ideas (for others! And for me! lulz), I proceeded to the shoe section since I'm in the market for my next pair of running shoes for the upcoming winter training season. I worked with Adam on trying on a couple pairs that I've had my eyes on. I jumped on the treadmill, got a good feel for them, and then put them back. Zero pressure to buy right away, not to mention I don't live in Colorado, so if I needed to return them, that would be a problem. At the end of the massage appointment, I ended up only dropping $90! Which in a running store is basically leaving for free. Picked up an excellent Nike thermal running top, and signed up for their VIP program. The regular price on the top was $85, but as VIP it was $74. Not bad at all. The cost of the membership for a year made the total break even when the VIP price was applied to the top. Now I get 10% off everything store and website wide, including free shipping and a 90 day "try it and love it, or return it" policy, which is phenomenal. I'm not sure if I'll renew again next year (the price goes up), but we'll see how much I'm actively using it and saving. I'm holding back a star here because my wife tried to purchase a new pair of Mizuno's and a running jacket, but they didn't have either in her size. One, sure, but two strikes sucks. read more
