We bought a new house and the refrigerator ice maker wasn't working. The house was sold AS IS so we couldn't make a claim to the homeowners insurance. I decided to call RnS Appliance Repair and made an appointment. So glad I did. Ron was very friendly and professional. He pulled out my fridge and was able to diagnose my problem right away. It had to do with the lack of water pressure from my Reverse Osmosis system. Within minutes he had my problem fixed and within hours I could hear the ice falling into my ice bin!! It sounds like any issues others had with him come from having to go through homeowners insurance, so don't go by the other reviews. Box 1707 Helendale California 92342 Business owner Ron Stevens This is a business that provides warranty work for Sears that serves Kern County and San Bernardino County of the high desert- And has some of the worst customer service I have seen to date. I been trying to communicate with both Sears and RnS appliance to resolve a broken refrigerator since November of 2020 and my problem is still unresolved. I've made several attempts to communicate with the office staff April. She is rude and does not return phone calls. As a company that does warranty repair work they have you believe their only way of communicating with Sears is to sit for hours on hold, which is highly doubtful. They also want you to believe there is only one appliance tech that services multiple counties. It seems between RnS appliance and Sears the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and you cannot get any straight answers from the staff. Most recently after a long wait of 3 months for a part to repair my refrigerator I called to schedule an appointment to complete the repair. It was at that time I was notified by April, a staff member that my work order was closed. She could not give me any reasonable explanation on who closed my work order , why it was closed or when. April told me she would find out more information and call me back which she neglected to do so. This has happened several times where she has failed to call you back. She is rude and incompetent and makes no attempt to help you resolve your issue. Avoid this company at all cost. I have been trying to resolve a broken appliance issue that was reported before thanksgiving of 2020 and neither this company nor Sears makes any attempt to update you, work with you or keep the customer informed. I'd like to start by saying the service person who came to my house was perfectly friendly. I placed an order through my home warranty service First American Home Warranty for my dryer that had recently stopped working. It wouldn't start. My wife and I are new homeowners and an appliance repair like this seemed like the perfect use case for the warranty service (we moved in last month). The support person showed up and listened to my description of the problem. He understood quickly that the start button on my dryer was broken and diagnosed a replacement part that he would order. To his credit he also said he would order a new motor too in case that was the issue. Keep in mind this was after waiting a week to get a person to see the issue. His new solution was that we'd get a part in 3-5 business days which would mean two full weeks of not doing laundry. After he left I decided to unscrew the back and look at the issue myself. After two seconds I popped the part he was going to order back into place and voila, dryer fixed. In hindsight I could have done that a week ago. Now, I have no problem admitting that it was dumb that I could have fixed the issue on my own. But it seemed a little odd that the service person didn't even investigate at all to see if ordering a part was actually necessary. On top of that, First American Home Warranty won't refund the $75 service fee so I paid them $75 bucks for me to fix my own dryer. I get that I'm the goober in this situation. I have a sears service agreement and this is the company they used to do my repair. The technician never showed up. The repair is attached to these people they can't reschedule me with a different company. Now I have to wait and see what's going to happen. But I do see there's alot of bad reviews. read more

I was in need of a repair right away and could not wait for a company that had a better reviews. I talked to the service technician at R n S and he was able to come out next day to repair my KitchenAid refrigerator. I highly recommend Ron he was knowledgeable, professional and the price was reasonable. Thanks again for such great service. read more

Terrible service....did not check anything on RANGE for prop...troubleshooting...and comes up with diagnosis that has nothing to do with the issue..... No call backs after several attempts & Reports completely opposite of whats mentioned while at residence... read more

Disappointed in RNS repair service , also disappointed in Sears , been with Sears since the 1970's. Will never buy another appliance from Sears again. Try calling Sears to get a repair man out almost impossible to get through , then when I do and ask for a Sears tech to come out, no one shows , so I called Sears back and the automated voice says an RNS repairman is scheduled to come out , so I will cancel my extended warranty with Sears and call a local appliance repair place. read more

I wish I could provide negative stars...honestly, I have never been so frustrated working with a contractor and I do this on a daily basis for my job as a project manager. RnS is the farthest thing from a viable service provider. Complete and utter joke. I was connected to them through my home warranty company to repair my microwave. They were a no-show for their first appointment, we rescheduled and they gave me a timeframe of 10a-4p and the guy showed up at 630p. He came to diagnose the problem, spent a whole 2 minutes at my house, took pictures of the serial number and left. Replacement parts arrived a couple days later and they never reached out to schedule service appointment, as the warranty company had promised. After calling 6 times and leaving 6 voicemails with no return calls, I finally got through to the administrator and scheduled an appointment. I took the day off work to be home for the service call and the guy never showed up and I never heard from the company. The home warranty company and myself called and could not get any answer from them. I left 4 more voicemails with no return calls and finally got through to admin to reschedule. We rescheduled for Thursday, I took the day off work again, and the guy did not show up again. I don't understand how these people remain in business other than their contracts with Home Warranty Companies that they dont seem to follow anyways. I am over a month without my microwave and too many calls and voicemails to count to people that are nonresponsive and do not honor their appointments or commitments. read more

Let me start off by saying if I could put my own star review it would be negative 10. Poor scheduling Horrible customer service No courtesy called to verify they are not coming They lie as well HORRIBLE!! June 16th I made my 1st appointment with them for June 24th for later in the afternoon When I called around 3:30 p.m. that afternoon to verify they were still coming the lady said yes but they were double booked said OK as long as you're still coming out that should be fine. At 8:20 p.m. I called left a voicemail since it was after business hours and miss hours and just explained that I did not even get a courtesy call saying that they were not coming out or could it make it. Friday I did not receive a call back Monday June 28th I called later in the afternoon the lady answered I explained to her how unprofessional it was that I did not get a courtesy call or a call back she explained to me that they were overbooked. In my opinion when you make an appointment a week and a 1/2 out and you continue to overbook someone that is poor scheduling scheduling. I explained to her that I was irritated and I have been waiting for my appliance to be fixed and I did not take any crap or excuses but I was very nice over the phone did not raise my voice yell curse anything she wasn't very pleased at the fact that wasn't taking her excuses. she scheduled me for Tuesday morning.. Tuesday morning came and gone my husband then called and of course they threw out the excuse we called and we knocked and no one came I was up at 6:30 that morning just to make sure that I didn't miss someone even though their business hours aren't until 9:00 a.m.And the call took place at around 11 that morning. We gave them one final chance they scheduled us for Thursday the 30th I informed my property manager of what had been happening she even called to verify that they were coming this was around 10:00 a.m. July 1st They never came and never called. read more

This company came out to my house to repair my trash compactor. They sent a repair man who does not know how to work on trash compactors. He took a video and said he will get with the tech who knows how to work on them. Over a week later I called for status and the secretary informed me that she was not feeling well that day and that the tech has not updated her on the diagnosis but she would call him and get status, and call me back the next day by 10am. With no call by 10 am I proceeded to contact my warranty company who confirmed no update. 3 days later I called again for status at which time I was informed that the owner was going to review with technician. I requested owner to call me back. Proceeded to contact warranty company again only to find out that instead of calling me he called and put in a diagnosis stating there is no failure with our appliance. How in the world does anyone put this type of diagnosis in when the technician that came does not even know how to work on the appliance yet a video tells what issue or lack of issue is. Stay away from this company and stay away from my home warranty company American homeshield both are full of B's. read more

This company has the worst customer service and their technicians are beyond rude. They do not answer their phone or return phone calls when trying to schedule appointments and got mad at me because they showed up at my house to replace parts when there was no appointment made and I am not home. Then when I make an appointment for them through home depot since they do not respond or answer their phones, the day of they say they only have half the parts and aren't going to make 2 trips to make repairs so he's refusing to come out to the scheduled repair. I let them know I at least needed my ice maker on my fridge fixed since they had the part for that and he started yelling at me and telling me no he's not coming out he's not wasting a trip until he gets all the parts in, but this makes no sense because they already showed up when there was no appointment to do repairs. There is no customer service, nobody knows what's going on and they treat their customers like crap yelling at them and telling them they aren't going to follow through with scheduled appointments.
