Not only so, but the refrigerant in my a/c unit was no longer a legal replacement in California, should leaks occur there. The motor bearings were becoming noisily worn as well. They used high pressure tactics on my husband and I. We were made to feel like we didn't have much of an option other than to purchase a new AC unit that was twice the price that Air Repair HVAC provided us with. It turns out that their competitor was also charging us more than double for the biannual maintenance check than Air Repair HVAC charges. Last year I got a new system for my house and everything went smoothly and my new system has been working great. I talked with a few of my coworkers who worked in air conditioning in the past or recently got a new system for their home about my system and they agreed I got a great price from the company. Customer Service has always been great. The office staff has been on top of getting services scheduled and always been professional and helpful. All the service techs and installers I have interacted with have been great as well.

I also appreciated that he tried to get us a less expensive but effective option until it became impossible when we discovered we had a sinkhole forming -- in this case, the city was right -- we needed to replace things to meet city codes (and for our own safety!). The solution to my septic plumbing ordeal began when I called Cisneros Bros. in the middle of the night meaning to leave a message, but surprisingly, after several calls (accidentally called several times in my stress) an actual person answered the phone. Nicole (who answered) must have guessed it was urgent even if after hours. The next day, I met Nathan Knapp who walked me through every single step the crew would take. (Thank you crew!). I was helping my parents with this -- their septic tank broke into a foul river of waste in their front yard. Neighbors called the city for help, we were cited to fix things immediately, and almost $18,000 later it has been fixed. I could not pay ANY company this amount without understanding what in fact they were fixing, how, and the different options. Apparently for many decades, we were not meeting city codes (we didn't know until this septic tank disaster). The cheaper options to "fix" the septic mess weren't really an option because the city citation did not allow the cheaper fixes, but also because we truly needed a major fix. Nathan and the crew (Jeff, Victor and Rogelio) were super hardworking at pumping out the tank and Victor luckily spoke Spanish who could better explain things to my dad. It's hard to pay a bill like this, but I recognize the value of it -- it was necessary, and I really don't think it would have been cheaper or done better by others. We passed the city codes with flying colors and we don't have to worry about a sinkhole or wastewater mess. So glad to have have a brand new seepage pit, new outlet lines etc.!

I contacted Apple Valley…read moreHeating and Air Conditioning because I wanted a Trane unit, and at that time they were the only authorized Trane dealers in the High Desert. Ed, the owner, came to my home, looked at its size, the number of rooms, the location of all existing vents, the attic, existing ducts, and the existing unit on my roof. He recommended the size of the unit I needed (not too big or small) and that some of the vents should be moved to a different area in some of the rooms to provide better cooling and heating efficiency. Since the previous AC unit was 18 years old, he recommended that I replace all the ducts running through my attic because they were pretty much paper thin and that meant much of the cool air would end up in my attic and not in my home. Since I didn't want to waste money cooling my attic, I got the newer, more insulated, ducts. When I eventually compared the thickness of the new ducts to the old ones, I immediately saw the difference and knew why Ed had made that recommendation. Upon agreeing on the price and work to be completed, I signed the work agreement. Adam and Rubin came to my house, laid a tarp over my rug, and got to work removing the old ducts and the old unit. They professionally installed all the new duct grills and openings required in each room, ran all the new duct work through my attic, and worked with the crane operator to lift the old unit off my roof and place the new unit on the roof. They replaced my thermostat with a new touchscreen one, which I love. We turned on the unit and everything worked great. They fully cleaned up every area of the house where they had worked (attic insulation tends to fall out when replacing ducts) and they were done with my project. The city inspector came by and signed off on all the work. After it was installed, Ed came by to see the results. I'll never forget that day. He and I both climbed up on the roof. We sat up there next to the unit and talked about the new unit and everything Adam and Rubin had accomplished so professionally. The project was a complete success! Every 6 months since then I receive a call from the company to schedule my fall or spring checkup. I've had this done since the unit was installed. The unit is working as well today as the day it was installed and I've been very happy with their service. Whether the field technician coming to my home was Bobby, Carlos, or Nate, they've all been professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. I recommend this company if you have any air conditioning or heating needs. Thanks for reading!

Didn't find…read moreout until last week when furnace fan would never shut off It was discovered the furnace had a large buildup of carbon was too large for our house/ductwork and it had a large buildup of carbon monoxide in it. Apple Valley Heating and Air is no longer in business, so we have no recourse. Now, we need to pay for a new furnace just 2 years later. So angry. Thank God we are alive and didn't die fromcarbon monoxide poisoning.
