I went on Yelp and sent out feelers as to when I could get my unit repaired. Lo and behold, Omar from Desert Air and Heating got back to me within 10 minutes and said he could come to my home in 2 hours!! At first I was skeptical, having only 1 review on Yelp. I went to Google and there were 11 reviews. ALL OF THEM ARE RIGHT ON! First, Omar kept in touch with me as to when he was on his way. He was here at the ETA with his son Joe as a helper. He immediately got on the roof and spent 15-20 min diagnosing the problem. He came down, we offered both of them cold water:), and showed us photos of our unit and all the readouts they took as the unit was running. He told us exactly what the problems were and what he needed to do to fix our unit. More amazingly, he had all the parts on his truck!! The entire visit took about 2 hours on this sweltering day, where the roof was easily over 120°! Omar is such a nice man, along with his helper Joe. He's well spoken, describes exactly what and how he diagnosed the problem, and explained why and what we can do to maintain our system. We are definitely having him do our twice a year maintenance. I found Air Today, while searching for a technician to come take a look at my home AC unit. I must have called and left messages to 6 different companies. Almost all of them said they didn't have time to come take a look at my AC unit until a couple of days later, or even next week. Armando responded my message within 10 mins and already told me what days he was available. It was 8:30 am, and he said he would be available at 1pm TODAY. Yes... TODAY!!! Upon coming to my house, and troubleshooting the AC unit, he couldn't find anything wrong with it, and also tested the amount of high and low pressure of the Freon in the unit. From the looks of it, everything was working accordingly. (I sprayed the AC unit last night with a hose to wash the filter out, so it might have done the trick) Because nothing was wrong with the unit, he said that he wouldn't charge me for the service and the time to come take a look at the unit. Water pressure in the whole house is set to trickle i guess, even the hose is lowflow 5.beautiful granite tops either weren't sealed or sealed improperly because its always been rough in a few spots but even with stone cleaner its just getting rough 6. Door jams are way out of wack. U ront notice at a glance but they either tilt (or back to problem 3) the wall bows and the top of the door isa minor gap that as u go down the gap grows . 3 doors like that so far. Not including the front door sag 7.Bathroom tub came with hairline cracked corners 8. A couple of nobs fell of drawers from what seem to be mismatched screws jammed in. I personally had to re thread and match the right metric screw. 9.The septic or something is showing in my front yard 10. Celing has a huge shiny patch where i guess they opted to put can lights (that are in no way center or aligned) over something else 11.And the best one When u walk on the concrete, in certain spots u can stomp and hear the void underneath. Neighbor had to point out theres a void where water goes under my driveway, and that was just from last winters rain and 5 days of snow I personally had this list ready for him one day when he asked us to use our home as a model home, people toured our home and i sat back and didnt ruin the fun for them. After that i havent seen him or his workers since. Very very unprofessional. Almost homedepot side worker quality.
