Rick from Apple Valley Appliance had a fast response time and repaired my very old but treasured Whirlpool washing machine. It works like brand new. I highly recommend Apple Valley Appliance. read more

Quick response. Discussed what I saw/tried and knew by phone what problem most likely was. Made next day appointment, arrived with the part, checked it, and fixed it (it was what he thought) quickly. Cost wasn't too bad either. Will definitely use again. read more

I noticed that it says "Veteran Owned Business!" Well, thank you for your service, Sir! And It makes perfect sense! We had a washer that suddenly busted during a wash cycle and I returned to my laundry room flooded! After contacting Rick by text and explained our situation, Rick helped us trouble shoot with the washer a bit as my husband is a fix it guy too, just never worked on a washer. The warranty is also expired. And after really doing nothing...to everyone's great surprise, it seems that the leak could have been a clogged drain that has seemingly unclogged itself! I've done about 8 loads now and the washer is working as well as always! One reviewer posted a NEGATIVE review about Rick simply because he gave his honest opinion by phone that whatever she called about wasn't fixable. Geeze lady, don't kill the messenger! Lol! I...on the other hand GREATLY appreciate him NOT coming over trying to squeeze even a nickel out of us. The information he gave us over the phone was FREE, and it greatly helped with our peace of mind towards this project! His willingness to help us over the phone without pay proves to me that he has true integrity and grit. Two Virtues HARD to find in todays SELFISH society. And So, for now...our washer is working great! BUT... if it ever were to take a turn for the worst Rick is the FIRST repair man were gonna call. It's a No-Brainer! ;) read more

Two weeks ago my fridge stopped getting cold but my freezer was still working. I called again company Reliable appliance repair for an appointment. As they book the appointment, they make sure to tell their service fee is $99.95 with or without repairs. I agree had a very polite, very yg man comes to my home. He knocks out the ice blocking the vent between my freezer and fridge and tells me that the problem is not enough air in the freezer and try not to push things too far back (?). I noticed the fan was not spinning, he says it comes on when the freezer door is closed (?). My fridge is a basic freezer on top, fridge on the bottom, no special sensors, hinged doors and in the 8 or 9 yrs owning it I have never had "an air flow problem ". 5 hrs later still not cold. I then call the company 4 times to get a return call. This morning I called Rick at Apple Valley appliance service. He was here within 30 minutes of my call. In less than an hour he replaced the broken fan and had my fridge up and running. He charge was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company as he truly cares about service. The other company goes by Apple Valley appliance repair--- do not be fooled!!! Apple Valley appliance service - Rick is the company you can trust! read more

Identified the problem why the ice maker was not working, but he could not fix the problem since it was something he didn't do. Because he couldn't fix it offered no charge for the service call and troubleshooting. We paid him anyway for his trouble. We will call Apple Valley Appliance for any future repairs. read more

Because we have used Apple Valley Appliance for repairs to our washing machine and dryer in the past, I thought they would be able to fix my dishwasher, but they don't work on dishwashers, so, I did not use their services. They're wonderful for everything else! read more

Kind, courteous, professional, tried to save me money by soldering apart, even though it didn't work. Fixed it faster than promised.

Called AVA after a local hesperia business with good reviews never showed or called. My Samsung washer wasn't draining. The problem was dx and fixed. I appreciated the communication that it would take a couple days to received the part and have it fixed. AVA will be my first call if I have an issue with any appliance in the future. We've used Apple Valley Appliance a few times & they've always been quick to come out, honest & affordable. Most recently, Rick came out & repaired our dryer. Also had him look at the washer which I thought might be having an intermittent issue & he checked it out, checked for codes & said it's good, no problems found! Grateful for the honest assessment. I felt Rick went above & beyond on my dryer repair, fixing a broken handle & offering to repair the lint trap, even though those weren't the problem he was called out for. Thanks so much, Rick & AV Appliance. read more

My dishwasher that is only two years old suddenly quit working it didn't show any signs of life. I called Apple Valley appliance and was routed to reliable repair. Two technicians came out within the hour. I explained to them what it was doing. They opened up the cabinet under my sink and I heard the dishwasher start making noises. I asked him was it just unplugged and they said no they are diagnosing the problem now they had a small little meter with them and after speaking in a foreign tongue, to each other they told me it would be an additional $300 as the control panel needed to be replaced. I told them that was more money than I planned on spending right now and I would contact them at a later date before they left. I noticed one of the technicians opened up my kitchen cabinet again and did something and then they left. I thought that was odd so I opened up my kitchen cabinet where the dishwasher plugs in and they had unplugged it when I plugged the dishwasher in it started working in my opinion that is fraud. Obviously the only problem was that the dishwasher somehow had come unplugged possibly because I had a kitchen faucet replaced prior, and the plug was knocked loose. When I called the company to complain I was told the manager would call me back and instead they had the technician who had come out to my home call me I told him I thought that he tried scamming me. He says that he only got the dishwasher to come on and he reset it by his battery operated diagnostic tool which I know is a bunch of baloney he said he only unplugged the unit so no further damage would be done and that most likely the dishwasher will quit working because it needs a new control panel put in. I asked him why he didn't explain that to me and he said he should have done that, but he didn't think to do it. My dishwasher is still working wonderfully do not use this company. They are scammers! read more

Our refrigerator stopped working this week and Rick came over immediately to assess the situation. He initially ordered a new computer board and was sent the wrong one (no fault of his own). He then rushed to order a new one and came right over once it was in. This one worked and our refrigerator is working once again. We have had Rick work on other appliances as well and always have a good experience. He actually knows what he is doing and provides excellent service. I highly recommend him. Tom read more

This Thank You goes out to Rick. When I called him and described to him what was going on with our washing machine he knew exactly what the problem was. He said he would need to order the part and, as soon as it came in he could fix it. Two days later he was at our door with the part and, fixed it up good as new. He also pointed out the bad washer hoses (one had a bubble in it and, was getting ready to burst) we had those replaced too and, now we have a washing machine that runs like new. This guy knows his business and, we're happy that he does. I would definitely call him again. :D read more

I just called Rick to ask about a problem with our double oven. He knew exactly what the problem was just by describing it to him. He was honest and upfront about the cost to repair it. It's cheaper to repair than replace, but I'm opting to replace because I wanted a newer one eventually. But he is professional and honest and patient. If we ever have any appliance issues in the future we will definitely give him a call. read more

I rarely do reviews, but absolutely avoid this company. They were rude on the phone and actually hung up on me half way through the scheduling of my repair. When I called back and gave my Apple Valley zip code they said they don't do any repairs in Apple Valley, yet their name is Apple Valley Appliance. I would look else where as this company is not reliable read more

I called Apple Valley Appliance solely based on Yelp reviews and I'm very pleased I did. I called Rick on a Friday morning and he was at my house by noon. Very pleased with Rick who fixed our washer and dryer. We're actually ready to call him again. Very knowledgeable, reliable and friendly.

Called Rick at 9am. By 1130am my dryer was back in working order. Rick has been doing this work for 30+ years so he when he walked into the laundry room he knew exactly what to look at before pulling out a tool. On a side note, I was thinking about buying a newer dryer and he advised me not to and that the model I have (Gas Sears Kenmore) is a great unit and is easy to fix. Thanks Rick. read more

Great experience! I called Rick and made an appointment for him to check out my leaky washing machine. He showed up quickly and on time, and showed me the problem. It turned out it would have been more expensive to fix than to buy a new one, and he did not charge me for the visit. I was impressed with his honesty and for not asking for a payment which I would have gladly done because he had taken it apart to find the problem. I would refer AV appliance to anyone!
