There's also a bistro table outside. The tables and chairs were made by the owners. Whether you live nearby or are looking to take a break from highway driving, this is a nice stop. The ice cream is good, but not great. I wish they were selling Snoqualmie Ice Cream or Acme, both of which are made in Washington and are far superior to all three of the Oregon branded ice creams Kalama Cone sells. If I had an ice cream business, I would stay away from selling ice cream brands that can be found in most grocery stores. I say that as someone who drove an ice cream truck one summer. They have standard staples for flavors and then seasonal ones that rotate every few months. This particular location has very little seating so you should plan to take yours to go. I recommend enjoying it while you stroll on NW 23rd. Otherwise, the staff will be happy to pack up a scoop for you and/or you can take a pint to go! Parking is a typical challenge for this area, but prices are reasonable and you can't beat the service.
