The pickup was also very simple even though I left as many people were coming in. The ironic part of this visit is that I had been here (called GiGis) 48 year's ago for a wedding celebration.) I will say I had a great experience with hair/makeup and dress but photography was such a horrible experience. We saw sample pictures beforehand and decided to go with Rahel but the pictures we actually got were no where near what we were given. I will preface and say that we were pre-warned that we were double booked that day and were not going to get the main photographer,however, I am not just upset at the quality of photos but just the lack of professionalism that followed. We ended up taking studio photos that day with the main photographer which actually were edited and came out nice, however, the pictures taken at the venue were terrible with the other photographers. Many of the pictures looked like we were inside a club due to horrible flash. Many pictures we were washed out with flash directly in our faces. Not just that but barely none were edited. We just got a photo dump of nearly 7 gbs of just raw pictures. We hired photography to get professional pictures but we just ended up with a photo dump of just raw photos and terrible ones at that. The worst part is I tried emailing the group about my concerns 3 times with NO response and am just amazed at their unprofessionalism with their clients. I guess once they have your money they just have no regard for you. If at least there was some dialogue about the situation I don't think I would have been as upset but the fact that before the wedding they were very responsive to the silence that followed afterwards is just what is very upsetting.

As a person who is not in the industry, even I know it is common sense to have someone on standby for such hiccups. We had many Chinese guests and family members who did not speak English, and this was the first wedding of parents from both sides. We had all our vendors booked before hiring Shirley so we booked the classic package. For this package, Shirley started working with us about 6 weeks before the wedding. She introduced herself to our vendors and made sure they had the itinerary before the wedding, attended zoom meeting with us when requested, and she was quick to respond to our requests and questions. Our wedding included elements from both Chinese and Western weddings, it was a 14-hour day including getting ready, gatecrashing, two tea ceremonies, photoshoots, a first look, ceremony, a quick first dance practice, receptions, and three dress changes (7a-11 pm)! With so much to do, we had a tight itinerary, and Shirley made sure the right people was at the right place at the right time so we are on schedule. She communicated with our wedding party on what's next on the itinerary, and guided our parents through the itinerary. Cathy was our emcee and Edmund was our DJ. About a week before the wedding, we met with Cathy and she had drafted an entire schedule of events for us, which was extremely helpful. On the day of, she also helped keep us on track, which was much appreciated because as you know, the day is very hectic and just flies by in the blink of an eye. There were a few slight hiccups (i.e. they forgot giant photo booth prop heads we had them make of us, no party favors as mentioned in the contract, and I don't think they coordinated with the maitre'd well enough - for the ceremony, I wanted to walk down the aisle at a very specific point in the song, but the maitre'd had me and my parents come out of the doors too soon - so all of the guests were literally just staring at us for an entire minute, waiting for us to walk). I don't think these are things that are unforgiveable and probably not even things that the guests even noticed but when you're the bride, you notice everything and of course, you want everything to be perfect. Overall, it was still the best day, and everyone loved Cathy and Edmund. They kept the energy up, even though it was a daytime wedding. All of our guests had a blast!
