Towards the end of the night things escalated when my wife made a final request and I attempted to intervene to help her get one of her favorite songs played... which should not be so difficult on her wedding night?? The result was I ended up in a screaming match with the MC as he attempted to refuse the song. This song had no vulgarities or anything else about it that could be seen as offensive. The level of disrespect was unbelievable. Shortly after the altercation, the party came to an abrupt end and everybody filed out. If you are having an event that is important to you, stay clear of this business.

We worked with Express It Video Productions for our wedding last year. I was impressed by what we…read moresaw at a bridal show by their DJ partner company, e squared productions, along with them being preferred vendors of our venue, but they were a huge headache to work with. A few days before our wedding we were supposed to have Rob the owner, as our photographer but instead was sent Rocco. OK, no big deal, I was easy going. However Rocco had zero creativity. We had a fall wedding with a bridal party of 14 and all we got were the standard shots (girls lined up next to bride, guys lined up next to groom). ZERO creativity. Not only that, but he acted like we were bothering him by having him take shots. When my husband asked him to take bridal party pictures in the beautiful staircase of our venue, he actually acted irritated! That was the prettiest place in our venue for pictures, and WE had to ask him to go there. It was like he wanted to be anywhere but taking our wedding pictures. No fun personality, nothing that you would expect from a wedding photographer. After the wedding was when the aggrevation truly kicked in. We were promised that we'd have our thank you cards printed and sent to us by the new year (we had a November wedding). We received them in April, after having to follow up numerous times. For our video, album and prints, I had to constantly follow up with phone calls, texts and emails. Nothing was ever given to us on the date we were promised and I felt like I was always being worked by a car salesman at every interaction. When it came time to pick our prints, I was told I'd have to pay extra for parent albums even though when I was sold the package, parent albums were included. The quality of everything received was fine, nothing to brag about but decent quality. For the price we paid, we got a great deal as far as everything that was included. However I felt like there was a huge lack of professionalism and the client should never have to chase someone down to get what they paid for. I wouldn't have minded waiting for my album, video, etc. if I was just given accurate deadlines that they stuck to instead of constantly over promising and under delivering.

I was looking for a DJ for my moms retirement party and spoke to Oscar who is the owner and founder of Dustherus. I had called a few other DJ's but after speaking with Dustherus I could tell that the other DJ's were not as professional. The depth of the conversation with other DJ's was: what type of genre they should play and how much they would charge me. I knew that I wanted someone who was going to be able to articulate my needs into more than just a "playlist" which is what most DJ's nowadays do. Rather than that Oscar spoke with me in detail about exactly what I wanted for my party. He took the time to ask me about specific songs, genres, the layout of venue and the age range of the audience. I was amazed at how precise and technical he had gotten. I was really impressed and surprised at how dedicated he is to his work. He told me that for a 4 hour party he would practice for weeks in advance for my event. My sister and I were so happy with how well the party went for my mom's retirement party!! My mom is still young at heart so we had everything from old school R&B to new school hip-hop. To add to it all Oscar has a charming microphone/stage presence. The place was jumping, the sound system sounded great and everyone had a great time.
