I have been to this InstaCare numerous times. They always provide high-quality care. One time I went for a urine test and was taken immediately to the hospital where I was hospitalized with sepsis. I took my elderly father there and he indicated they were more thorough than any Instacare he has ever been to. They called in an x-ray technician for x-rays, and he had a complete evaluation of his issues which was very important for an ill man in his 90's. read more

Came in for my hand injury, front desk and nurse were aware of this. Got checked in to be told their X-Ray guy was out on vacation. Suggested to order an X-Ray somewhere else or go to a different clinic. Just an overall waste of everyone's time if they would of told me they didn't have enough staff to perform an X-Ray I would of happily gone somewhere else, they took longer to check in rather then helping, the young doctor was no help at all not to mention didn't have any of my paper work and kept asking me why I came in for. The front desk staff was nice but the older white doctor was awful. I was literally sobbing when he came in and instead of being kind or apologizing for my pain, he proceeded to explain why it wasn't smart that my tonsils weren't already removed. Also, when I told him I couldn't remember the name of the prescriptions I was normally prescribed, he told me I should. He was just really rude. Did nothing to help with my pain. Told me my tonsils "really weren't that bad". Didn't do any strep or mono test on me. I ended up going to the ER afterwards where they gave me pain medication & told me that my tonsils were insanely swollen. read more

Came in feeling extremely dizzy, weak with pelvic pain, This is the closest In Network Urgent Care facility and the receptionist mentioned they could only treat me and that they didn't have equipment to treat unborn baby (check heart beat or ultrasound equipment) do not recommend in case of an emergency if you are pregnant. read more

My husband and I have been to this urgent care three or four times. Each time I've gone in, the doctor has told us that our ailments were "probably just a virus" and there's nothing they could do for us. This last time I went in with a fever of 103.6 and the worst sore throat I've ever had and he said the same. The next day I went to a different urgent care, and they sent me immediately to the ER under suspicion of an abscessed tonsil and I was given aggressive doses of both steroids and antibiotics. If this clinic listed to their patients, we would have been saved multiple trips to the doctor and hundreds of dollars. read more

Do not waste your money and time at this urgent Care Center! My son cut his thumb open very deeply with a mandoline veggi slicer from end to end. The receptionist asked about insurance while my sons thumb was dripping blood on the counter, no sense of urgency at an 'urgent care center'. The doctor on duty 'Richard' put a pressure bandage on it, when it clearly needed stitches. My son did not sleep all night. He was given no prescription for pain. OTC meds didn't help him, so when the lidocaine wore off he was pacing in pain. We had to take him to a hand surgeon to get stitched up! Plus antibiotics to prevent infection. God bless the USA that we have choices, don't use your choice on this place, learn from our mistake. read more

I have have been going to the Riverwoods Urgent Care for years but the level of professionalism and expertise has plummeted. 3 of the last 4 visits I've had the older doctor. His response every time is, you're fine and come back in a week if you still can't function. Essentially, just pay us more money. You actually feel like you're bothering the old man. After feeling terrible for a week, no voice, terrible sore throat, terrible cough, terrible congestion, etc. he said I have allergies. I've never had allergies before and still don't have allergies. This is after my wife went to the same place the week before with the exact same symptoms. She was told she had Laryngitis and actually received something to fix it. I went to another doctor: Laryngitis, not allergies. Avoid this place and the older doctor unless you want to feel the exact same when walk out except for a lighter back pocket. read more

Awesome experience! I sliced my leg open at Sundance in Stewart falls and needed stitches. I came in and the front desk was awesome. They got me right in and the doctor, Richard was amazing. Great bedside manner, kind, knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable through the whole experience. I felt safe and cared for and was so grateful for the kindness! My stitches have now come out and the scar is barely there! It looks awesome thanks to his care and expertise. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely return. Thank you to the staff! The front desk and nursing staff are okay and they were nice, however the past two times I have gotten the older male doctor (doctor Richard if believe) and BOTH times I have been in with complains of the worst throat pain I have even had, and white strep bumps on the back of my throat. The Dr looked both times and strep tested both times (barely touching the sides of my tongue let alone the back of my throat and tonsils where the strep actually is) and told me it must be viral and there is nothing they can do for me. I am in college so I drove 3 hours to my home doctor who said I definitely had strep and he has no idea how the doctor could tell just by looking at it, and yes after my throat being swabbed correctly my strep test was positive. In conclusion, do not waste you time or money going to this place. They will make you feel over dramatic, and like you are an inconvenience for them. Not to mention the have Mia diagnosed my strep throat TWICE and virtually done nothing for me. read more

Front Desk staff and the nurses were 4 stars. This review however is based on my experience with the Nurse Practitioner that saw me. Let me give a little history, I was an EMT for 6 years, worked as a nurses aide in one of the countries top heart hospitals for 2 years, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about when it comes to how you treat your patients. I have a cracked tooth that I've been trying to schedule time off from work and balance recovery time in. Over the past week, I developed an abscess under said tooth that was incredibly painful. Kept me up at night, out of work for a day, I knew it was time to go get it seen, at least for antibiotics till I could get it extracted. NP Comes into the room and introduces herself, does a rather poor attempt at a physical exam, asks a few questions, takes a look at my teeth, which I know hand issues since we told her I've seen both a dentist and an oral surgeon. The whole time she's looking, she's making comments under her breath, "how bad they are". I heard " horrible and disgusting " numerous times. Now I may have been in healthcare a few years ago, but you never use words like that in the presence of your patient. Respectfully, I held my tongue. At this point, she glances over at my wife and asks "who's this?". We are an interracial couple, and you could see by the looks we were given that she had issues with that. She prescribed me antibiotics and Hydrocodone and kept mentioning, " I'm not giving you that many", as of she thought the reason I was there was because I was seeking! Had she bothered to ask, she would have realized that never before, even when I sprained my ankle or was injured while firefighting, that I have never in my life actually felt the need to take prescription painkillers. In fact, I've actually declined them. To make matters worse, the strength that she gave me has done literally nothing for the pain of the Abcess I have right now. I feel insulted that simply because of race and assumptions, something could actually affect the standard of care an NP would give a patient. I will never again use Riverwoods Urgent Care, and will instead go to others in the area. read more

The front desk and most of the nursing staff are great. Clarissa PA is not helpful at all. I had lost my voice for about 1.5 weeks, was coughing, had sinus pressure, headaches, sore throat, and sinus leakage. When she looked at me, she rushed through everything. I felt like I was a problem to her like she was annoyed she had to help me. Then she completely misdiagnosed me saying I have the common cold. I looked at her funny, but she said it should clear up in a week. Well, a week went by and there was no sign of improvement. Doctor Murdock was able to diagose me correctly and I got better quickly. This was the only time out of my 4 visits that I wasn't satisfied. All other times have been great and positive and I like going to this Urgent Care. read more

We were the only ones there and the wait was excruciatingly long. If you think you need radiology, go elsewhere because you'll be waiting a long while as they have to bring someone in who is on call to take your x-ray. Then you'll wait longer while they have a remote Radiologist review your x-ray. You're better off going to a facility that has staff onsite. read more

The doctor that I ended up being checked by was no help whatsoever and basically just said go to the E.R making me think it was more serious than it was. He was pretty rude to me and didn't want to answer my questions even though I was the only patient there. He basically said he didn't know what was wrong with me and didn't really check anything. I went to the E.R because he said I should and big surprise, the staff at the E.R said that it was something he could've medicated me for and that I didn't need what the Urgent care doctor said I did which was a catscan. I basically wasted my money going here because they did nothing and I ended up paying for that pointless visit plus an E.R bill. read more

This place was not that great. The doctor and nurse were ok but the lady at the desk was rude and irritable both times I was here.

I've been here several times after moving to Provo recently and haven't gotten around to finding a family doctor. The first time, a NP told me that I simply had a virus and wouldn't give me a doctors note from work. Went to another doctor and found out I had strep and was highly contagious. Second time I went in, the most egotistical male doctor I have ever met said that my severe stomach pains were either dehydration or I was on my period. No surprise that after seeing another doctor, the case was much more serious than that. Front office staff is always great and time waiting has always been short but not worth it to see a doctor who will incorrectly diagnose you every time. read more

If I could rate this place with negative stars I would. To start, the receptionist was very rude and didn't acknowledge my existence. I had gone In because I had the flu as well as a sinus infection. After getting called back the nurse gave me attitude. She did not believe I had the flu so I had to show her pictures of me in the emergency room with a 104°. She said that I was basically wasting my time there but she will get the doctor. The doctor came in and started out with attitude. He would giggle after I would say something, as if he did not believe me. I had to show him the pictures of me in the emergency room as well just for him to believe me. He did not think there was something wrong with me just because I could not name the type of prescriptions the ER had given me. I was on a lot of prescriptions and they were all difficult names to pronounce. He then would not give me any antibiotics because he said "you are not an adult", I am 20 years old and he knew that. I would steer clear of this place based on the experience of my child , who was attending college at the time, and went to this urgent care facility. The diagnois the doctor gave my son was inaccurate and we spent over $100 on medication to boot. Two weeks later, my son was eventually seen by his regular primary care physician. His doctor couldn't believe how far off the clinic was with the dx. Fortunatly, we were able to get the proper diagnosis from his regular doctor and tossed the medication immediately. To add to the frustration, we continue to receive bills from Riverwoods Urgent Care. I wrote to them concerning the wrong dx, but they stood by their dx. and still demanded money. will never go to this center or recommend it to anyone based on our experience. read more

The care that this facility provides is abysmal. We have visited the Riverwoods Urgent Care twice now for my wife. Both times we waited a couple weeks to see if her ailment would pass with time and to see if her body would naturally heal itself. Well after two weeks and the symptoms worsening we decided to go here. We explained to both of the 'doctors' the symptoms she was having and educated him that we have waited some time before coming here and that she isn't getting better. Both times (two different doctors I need to add) they looked at her and told us, "she is a healthy woman and she will be fine, come back if the symptoms gets worse." Both times we have ended up having to go see another doctor because it has been a waste to go back to the Riverwoods. We have given you two chances to "provide friendly, professional and efficient health care solutions for families and individuals of all ages" as it states on your website. But it is far from that. It is atrocious care. Your doctors can repeat verbatim what it says on WebMD, but they are unwilling to use any of the skills they learned in medical school. I echo the disappointed reviews before me. Do not waste your time or money on this place. You will merely be told to "come back if your symptoms get worse." read more

This is beyond upsetting that I would even feel the need to write this poor review. My wife has been fighting emense pain in her face that radiates through her teeth on the right side. She was in with the "doctor" and nurses for five minutes tops, and when said "doctor" -self identified "Richard," came in to see her, he spent less than 30 seconds with her. He told her to use 800mg of ibuprofen and keep heat on her face and she'll be healed. He then opened the door and prompted her to leave. He didn't give a damn enough to inquire anything from my wife, and didn't care when she expressed that she had been trying his miraculous solution for 5 days now. Either this doctor does not care about patients or was just in a hurry to get home since it was at closing time. Either way, being an urgent care doesn't mean there's no time to care about patients! Stay away from this urgent care unless there's another doctor there who is not like "Richard." read more

The staff was apathetic and the service is horrible. I waited for 3 hours while my roommate was getting his ear infection treated. Instead of prescribing something so we could get out quick, they ended up attempting to clean out his ear for 30 minutes and then abandoned him in the exam room. I'm currently sitting in their waiting room and have yet to have a solution to a simple ear infection. Don't be fooled by the nice building and fancy furnishings, this place cannot deliver care with any sort of urgency. Go anywhere else. read more

This will be the first review that I have ever left on yelp, only to urge people to never go there. Horrible attitudes from the receptionist to the doctors, and little to no real help. My boyfriend went there to deal with pains in his lower abdomen which the doctor diagnosed as a kidney stone. He sent him home with a prescription for pain and a recommendation to drink a lot of fluids. As soon as we got home he started throwing up everything he drank. Nothing could stay down. And he fell right to sleep. So when we went to Walmart to pick up the medication the pharmacy had already closed. That was completely our fault and we understood that the doctor couldn't prescribe it again to another pharmacy because of the type of drug it was. So we went back to urgent care to see if there wasn't anything else he could give him to just get home through the night. There was a pain shot that could have been given and was given, but it came with a lot of resistance and attitude from the doctor. We got a lecture about why we hadn't picked it up on time, while my boyfriend sat in the waiting chair having just thrown up from the pain and nausea on the side of the road. We tried to explain why we hadn't gotten there on time and all he kept repeating was that he would not he prescribing another pain med even though that wasn't what we were asking for. Eventually I was fed up and stopped talking completely. My boyfriend got the shot and we left ver dissatisfied. And angry. We found another doctor who said that the first doctor was wrong in not having prescribed a nausea medication and another medication to help break down the kidney stone. It was a terrible experience all together and we won't ever be going back to that place. read more

I used Riverwoods Medical Center for an ACL surgery. The surgeon was fine but the office administration lacks knowledge and professionalism. I actually ended up overpaying for some of the services. I contacted them back in November of 2014 in regards to a refund and was told that it should take between 4-6 weeks and now more than 7 weeks later I am yet to receive a response from their Billings/Payments office. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service and will not be using their services in the future. read more
