Other places I've been to have at least a water machine with cups for those who need to do a urine drug screen. Not here. The water fountain water works and is very strong, BUT there's a lot of calcium/limescale on it and it makes you not want to drink it or put your mouth on it. Probably not a good choice for a medical urgent care, but hey look ok the bright side, if you start getting sick from it, you're already at the urgent care. The girl at the front desk had a mask on and it was really hard to hear her quiet voice underneath it. She also looked low on energy because the vibes were not vibing. lol! No kind of welcoming attitude. It's an urgent care. Okay. But some of us are still customers. Are we not?! I'm waiting. The wait time is a little over 25 minutes. It's all good. I'm not dying in the lobby or anything. I get called back and I was in and out. Just like that. The girl who took care of me in the back, quick AND friendly! Will you look at that?! She's the reason I gave 3 stars. If the back were as bad as the front end, it would've been a 1 star.

I couldn't wait that long. I finally found a great family Dr. who cares and takes the time to talk and advise me. His staff are personable and kind. When my daughter and her husband (who has type 1 diabetes) moved to Utah from out of state, they called several Dr.'s and couldn't schedule an appointment for a month or longer. Her husband ended up in the ER with DBK. I called Dr. Crop and he saw them right away, he even explained ways I could help and gave suggestions. He was genuinely concerned for my family and that means so much. They are open on the weekends, Dr Crop is there through the week but if you need to be seen there will be a Dr available. I appreciate the staff and Dr. Crop.

I made an appt after finding out that Jodi Wimmer (FNP) had hormone knowledge. I went in for the appt and when asked for my insurance card, I asked the front desk, what the cash pay option would be for an appt to figure out if it was cheaper to go through my insurance or be a cash-pay patient. The lady told me cash would have been $145 for the first appt but my "co-pay" was $105 so I decided that was the cheaper option clearly (not expecting to have an additional surprise bill in a few weeks). I met with the MA for maybe 15 mins then Jodi Wimmer came into the room, I gave her plenty of very detailed symptoms I was having and she confirmed that a bloodwork panel was the answer.. Now after having my bloodwork done twice a year for the past 4 years, I was very knowledgeable about what to expect. Typically to get cortisol/thyroid levels checked, you need to fast, so when Jodi told me that at 3 pm, I needed to go downstairs after the appt to get my blood done, I was confused and said "Don't I need to fast?" and she said "oh, yeah I guess you can, just go tomorrow morning"... Well for women, hormones need to be done on a certain time of your cycle (which I verbally told her AND her MA where I was at in my cycle). But I trusted she knew what she was talking abouts so I went in, and when I only had 2 tubes taken, I was confused because normally its like 5-10 tubes. Turns out, after getting the results back, I was told that I need to go back in to get my blood redrawn due to odd levels (because I was correct and should have gone in at a certain time in my cycle!)... That first blood draw was $150+ out of my own pocket then they expected me to go back in and be charged whatever other amount it would have cost me. The amount of money I spent, to not get answers and to not be listened to, was beyond disrespectful. She made me feel so rushed in the less than 15 mins I got to speak with her at the appt. I ended up receiving a hefty bill 3 weeks after my appt to end up paying close to $250 out of my own pocket (not including whatever the insurance paid) to speak to Wimmer for barely 15 mins. Their billing does not properly break down what you are exactly having to pay & their portal expects you to just hand over the money with no qualms.

One of the worst medical experiences I've ever had…read more We brought my young daughter in with throat pain, chills, and visible spots on the back of her throat. The doctor by the name of Marshall Willis came in extremely rushed and did not examine her properly. He did not check her ears and did not even look at her throat. The only thing he did was a nasal swab for COVID. When we asked whether the swab also tested for strep, he explicitly told us yes and said the strep test was negative. He then dismissed us and told us to give her Tylenol. Five days later, my daughter was in severe pain, could barely swallow, and had intense ear pain. We returned to Premier Medical and thankfully saw a different doctor. That doctor informed us the previous doctor never performed a strep test at all. He examined her throat, said it looked very bad and extremely painful, ran an actual strep test, and it came back positive. Because of the first doctor's Marshall Willis failure to examine her and his false claim that a strep test was done, my daughter suffered unnecessarily for days and we had to pay for a second visit just to receive proper care. This was careless, misleading, and unacceptable medical treatment. I have never had such a bad experience with a physician, and I truly believe doctor Willis should not be treating patients.

However, there are billing problems EVERY SINGLE TIME I use Revere at any location. I have primary and secondary insurance. I got notification that I owed a balance, which I should not, since the secondary insurance pays whatever is left after the primary pays. I called the hospital billing department back and told them what number to call, and to wait to talk to a human. I will wait a few days to see if they get it straightened out. I am concerned, because I am scheduled to have the other knee replaced next month, and do not want this hanging over me when I go for that procedure. What the heck, Revere? I was told they had checked on my insurance and I hadn't met my deductible so I was responsible for the full amount. I agreed to the terms to receive the discount and paid the amount ahead of the scan. There were no complications or issues. A month later I received a bill for more than I had already paid. I contacted the hospital and they said the original quote was only an estimate and the procedure cost was actually more than double what I was quoted. After disputing it with a manager (Matt) I still ended up paying a substantial amount more. Very unfair practice in my opinion. I would not have had the scan done had the cost been accurately quoted to me originally.

I went to the Orem Community Hospital Emergency Room yesterday morning at the request of my dentist…read morebecause I have a severely infected tooth, a visibly huge and swollen cheek, and so much pain, OTC meds weren't touching it so I was forced to take my back pain meds (which still didn't take the pain away,) as well as a fever of 103.4 earlier in the morning. My dentist thought I should go to the ER for IV antibiotics for fear that my tooth infection had turned into something much more serious because the antibiotics he gave me weren't working. The admitting person was a sweetheart as was the male nurse; both compassionate, empathetic, and kind. The doctor came in and made me feel foolish and idiotic for going to the ER for 'simple' tooth pain, actually pulling faces at the mention of a dentist sending someone to the ER, and rolling her eyes. THEN, when she seemingly, finally decided to figure out exactly what was going on, she sat down in front of me and said, "Hon, tell me what is going on. How did this happen?" All I could think was, are you serious?? I mean look at my ginormous, pink cheek, lady!! She talked to me as if I were a child and was extremely condescending. I just felt stupid and wanted to leave and go to a different ER but I had an IV at that point (for blood tests, mind you, not antibiotics). Then she sent me in for CT scans of my face to make certain that the infection hadn't spread anywhere dangerous, finally taking my issue seriously. She didn't give me the IV antibiotics for the severe infection, she simply 'upped' my antibiotic (from the one the dentist gave me) to a stronger one. How hard would it have been to simply give me even just a injection of stronger antibiotics?? Or better still, through the IV that was already in my arm?!? Then, she numbed my tooth to take away some of the pain, which it did, for about 30 minutes when the pain came back with a vengeance. I feel like the doctor didn't like being told what to do from a measly dentist, or God forbid, me, and didn't do the antibiotics out of sheer stubbornness and pride. No, I did not go to medical school, I am not a doctor and will not pretend to know how to heal someone in the way a doctor can. I do know my body and knew something was wrong. I also know empathy, which this doctor didn't seem to posses, nor, really, did the female nurse who just acted like it was an inconvenience for me to be there. I went to this ER with the hopes of having some relief from my pain and severe infection. I left feeling stupid for going in the first place. There was no empathy, compassion, or even patience from this doctor. I know there are other doctors working at the Orem Community Hospital's ER, some with likely more empathy than was shown me, but I will *never* chance that again. I will drive the extra several miles to AF Hospital's ER where they are kind, respectful, and even humble enough to listen.

They didn't ask after either. I got a statement in the mail with a paystub and a return envelope. I made a payment(what I could). I am on social security with no other income. The next month I got another statement, made the same payment, did this for 4 months then SLAM. They SLAMMED me into collections for the rest. No notice to call, no call, nothing said letting me know the payments I made were not good enough or that I needed to call, nothing just SLAM me into collections, granted my fico score is in the toilet anyway and I don't care because I pay cash for everything. I will never use this facility for anything ever again.
