I have been taking my babies here for years. Even after moving to Orlando for a year, I still made the trek to drop my babies off in the morning for a half day of day care and a grooming before I pick them up after work. I know they are well taken care of and treated well, because when they see where we are, they're always excited to go in! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Firstly The time before last I came to take my dog, Saturn home for a few days, when I picked him up he was in a bath tub about four feet off the ground with a thin rope around his neck, with the other end attached to the wall. Saturn was obviously not happy, pulling and choking against the rope. I had George, the owner remove it and kept Saturn in the tub myself. After that experience I asked him and the head groomer to not bathe him again, especially not in that tub. I said if he gets real dirty bathe him in his kennel (Drains in the floor) or outside. They have a mandatory bath after three days, to prevent fleas and ticks I was told. Saturn is on Trifexis, they know this becuase they gave him his last dose on 07/22/2018. On Trifexis he can not get ticks or fleas, they die when they bite him. He never replied to my text but I spoke to the head groomer on the phone and she agreed to my request. When I picked him up for the final time, I walked in the building and George the owner was by the front desk. He walked me back to Saturn, who was in the room alone, in this tall tub, with the rope around his neck, choking on it , Alone!!!!!! He could have Died!!! When I picked him up I was told that there was an issue with another dog trying to hump Saturn, and there was barking involved. Later when I saw Saturn had been wounded. I texted George who changed his Story and said Saturn was by far the aggressor. I don't believe this for a moment. My dog is very easy going and has never been in a fight in his five plus years. However he has been attacked a few times and I deal with it, Saturn counts on a Human to defuse situations before they esculate. He was not being closely watched, in a pen with at least one other dog. I had seen him left with another dog before unsupervised, I was ok with that because I met the other dog, a gentle female. So I know for a fact they leave them unsupervised. I asked for photos of the other dogs wounds and none were forthcoming. Maybe because the other dog had none? Saturn is a 88# pitbull and can chew through a raw chicken thigh like a human would much on a stick of celery. My point is IF Saturn was the agressor, how come he has bite wounds and the other dog does not???? I have to date found five different dog bites on Saturn. If you love your pet, or even just like it a little, NEVER bring it here for any reason!!!! The people seem nice but they obviously don't know how to handle dogs in a safe humane manner. Also they have limited ability to operate their own computer system. I had asked for receipts I had been previously given and misplaced. They are unable to do so. At all! Just saw the bite to the head , George, WTF did you do to my dog??? I texted George a few moments ago and he cursed me out. Very unprofessional bordering on Psycho!!! Also his meds and Blanket could not be found on check out. Owner refused to mail them back. Not comfortable returning. Animal Control was useless, they investigated and said it was a civil matter. So if you leave your pet here, no one will help you if it is injured or killed. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They completely shaved my dog bald! Looks like a kid with scissors came to my dog and cut whatever hair they say! Not to mention, they normally charge 30 for her hair cut they suddenly it went to 50.... I didn't even recognize my dog when she came out. I'm so upset! DO NOT TAKE DOGS HERE!!!!!!! read more

We love this place! My dog has been boarded here several times over the past few years. We also get him groomed here. The staff is very professional & friendly. They always remember us. My dog loves to come back here. In the past we've literally had to drag him in the door of other boarding/grooming places, but he happily walks into the Riverview Pet Spa every time! The groomer always does a fantastic job without me even having to specify what I want done. The boarding area allows your dog to go inside or outside whenever they please. They also offer play time, petting/massage time, and treats! We love it here!! (5 stars) 5/19/12 UPDATE: Although my dog still likes going here, I don't. They're under new management and the customer service is seriously lacking. When I've dropped my dog off to be groomed, they haven't called me when he's ready, like they said they would... So I end up calling and he's never ready until closing time, even though I always drop him off first thing in the morning. I don't like that he sits there all day when a grooming takes about an hour. Also, the last time I boarded him here, I sent him with a blanket... they lost the blanket and said they "accidentally sent it home with someone else". They didn't do anything to rectify this. And twice now, when I've gone to pick my dog up from his grooming appointment, I've stood in the reception area for quite a while before someone has come out to greet me. The last time this happened, I called the store from inside just to get them to come up front when they heard the phone ring. Placed our dog there for a week and it was the worst experience ever. We were on a tight time frame to find a place and found this close to where we were staying. All other places in the area were full so we took the chance on this place, big mistake. They told us our dog would have a bath for staying more than three days, she was there a week and came back grayish in color and smelling. Our dog is a cream colored and when she was brought our to us in her own travel kennel, she had a fearful look on her and would not even come out of her kennel. She had lost weight while she was there. Our dog normally get so excited to see us when we leave her for a day with other family that she jumps all over the place and jumps to our arms. She had no reaction when we showed up, almost like she was punished if she were to come out of her kennel. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We should have noticed that the place was not going to be good as it was not really a clean place. The inside of the place was dark and dingy, not very clean and low lighting. Barkingham Palace would have been better even though they have had issues with staff hurting smaller breeds. read more

I brought my mini poodle here not long after rescuing him and told the groomer that I wanted a teddy bear cut with his body clipped short for summer. They worked quick and we got him back very clean and smelling nice, but his cut left a lot to be desired. His body was barely cut shorter and left very uneven as was his head, around his mouth was left so long it was constantly getting dirty, and worst of all, they shaved his rear end so short that he was tormented by razor burn for over a week. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating, but I was very disappointed in their grooming and would not go back. read more

Never take your dog here. We picked up our sweet greyhound after ONE long weekend. Staff was unable to explain the multiple injuries she had (scabs/blood on her head, ripped/torn collar, blood/exposed skin on her paw). Also, our dog has NEVER had a SINGLE accident at home or while staying with someone else. The Riverview Pet Spa people said that she peed all over the dog bed we provided, so they took it away and gave her a tiny blanket to sleep on for the rest of her visit. They gave us the bed when we picked up which was still disgusting and in a plastic bag. Seems to me like they ignored her the entire time, didn't let her out to go to the bathroom appropriately and allowed her to be injured by other dogs. PLEASE don't trust them to "care" for your dog. Try the Rover app instead. read more

They gave our Yorkie a great cut/clean and he was super full of energy when I picked him up. Almost seemed like he enjoyed it, which hasn't happened at past groomers. Customer service was a little "meh", but I'm happy to look past that for their super cheap prices and the high quality work! read more

If there were "ZERO" stars, I'd click that box. Took all 3 of our dogs there yesterday. All their kennels were full, so my 3 dogs were just put into an open small back area together. That should have been my first sign that this was not going to end well. I specifically stated dogs needed a de-shedding process. One of the dogs, in particular was in desperate need of a very good brushing due to shedding. That dog, they charged me extra for (which was fine). Dogs were shedding worse than when I left them. They state they also do ears, nails and anal glands. Ears were CERTAINLY not done - I have pictures and video to prove all of this. Not sure about the anal glands (that's ONE boundary I will not cross!). The worst part was that one of my dogs was returned to me so injured that he couldn't even stand up and hold himself for more than a few seconds. Had to take him to the vet within an hour of coming home. Vet tech I spoke to seemed unphased and couldn't have cared less that my animal was returned injured. Dog had to be placed on anti-inflammatory medications and we are returning in a few days to be rechecked. Unacceptable. read more

My Great Dane lost 15lbs in their care for two weeks and his tail was split open so bad that it required amputation. Neither issue was brought to our attention until we were there to pick him up. Called and ask to speak to a manager. No one ever returned our calls. read more

Grooming was horrible, staff was rude, my four legged kid was there for 6 hours, will never go back and don't recommend this place.

I am from out of town and left my dog on Saturday July 12 around 11 AM. I came to pick him up on July 14 Monday AM. I told them I would be there at 8 AM. (Business opens supposedly at 7 AM) and no one was there. I called the phone and got an answering machine. At 9 AM, when no one was there still, I knocked on the windows and doors I could get too, I then called the sheriff. The sheriff was finally able to track down (through Animal Control) the owner's phone number. The owner drove over from Sebastion, and I finally got my dog around 11:30 AM. I am unsure how long my dog was left alone without food or water and unable to get out to relieve himself. He seemed okay except for being very hungry, thirsty, and needing to pee very badly. The owner said 3 people were supposed to be there. When I left, there were still several dogs still there. If I had not called the sheriff, there is no telling how long the dogs would have gone without care. Apparently new owners in 2014 from what a lady who stopped by to get her dog groomed (and then left after no one was at the business) read more
