Gorgeous place for a stroll, well maintained park presents many fun activities, fishing , climbing nets (adults enjoy this too!) several different types of play structures for all different ages and interests a stunning walking/running or sit and lounge by the lake and reading areas and to top it off a pretty massive splash pad! By far one of my favorite places to take my daughter and have some fun! Well worth the 45 minutes I drive to get there! read more

Brought my 7 year old son here on a Saturday and he bugged me about coming back all week until we could make it back on Friday.

I live so close to the park that I could get there in "two shakes of a lamb's tail." But it wasn't until yesterday that I finally had a chance to explore it. Once I got out the car with my little ones (two Chis), and took in the full "river view" of the place, I got so excited. The park is vast, clean, and more importantly it's fun to be there. The playground makes me wish that I was a kid again. I've never seen such grandiose play things! I'm making plans to go for walks there regularly with the Chis. Wish there was an off-leash area for them as well as more shade. I heard that they have plans to continue build towards the back area. There's supposed plans for a hotel (Hyatt, I think) and restaurants. Glad my casa is in Mesa now! read more

It is 103 degrees right now and most people would just stay indoors but not the people visiting riverview park. If anything the park was still packed today! What draws people's interest and attention is the water fountains and the free outdoor water park where the kids can play and cool off they also have bbq grills. If the park didn't have a way to cool off relax and cook a nice outdoor meal then I would not be sitting out in that hot heat today or for the rest of the summer. It is still a beautiful place to take long walks at sunset and evening. Theres plenty of lights throughout the park in the evening so your not walking in pitch darkness. the kids really enjoy the colorful water lights on the fountains and along the walkways. When you have time get out and go enjoy riverview park. Me and my family will definitely make our way back to riverview park throughout the summer. read more

Park has a lot of options for any age, lots of space to sit and eat with a group. Could use more swings and it is often crowded.

Our family wanted to hang out, play games with the kids on Saturday so we decided to meet at this park. It's very big and right off the 202 on Dobson. There's plenty of parking and room to play games. They have a unique playground, including a splash pad and some kind of jungle gym-like structure that kids can climb. There's some shaded benches around the play area but not as much as there should be, considering the size of the place. They do have restrooms right by the play area so that's convenient. This park also has a big pond where you can fish at. They host events here also so it can get pretty busy but it's definitely a great park that everyone can enjoy. Just be sure to bring chairs in case you don't get there in time to grab a bench! Like most parks, the shaded areas get booked for birthday parties so I would suggest getting there early, before most kid parties start (around noon and on). read more

What a great park for everyone of all ages to enjoy! There is a giant playground for the kids to play on, splash pad, giant climbing equipment, open fields to play and a lake. You can bring your dog and take them on a walk of go fishing in the lake. There are also picnic tables and grills available which is perfect for a family outing, although it would be nice if there were more shaded areas available. I brought my class here for a field trip and the kids had so much fun. They loved the large splash pad and played in cold water. Its also gated so you don't have to worry about your kids wondering out. If you have children, this park is a great place to bring them and play & it's free :) My only complaint about the park is the bathroom. Especially since it's a public area it should be maintained and kept cleaner. Also the water fountain should be fixed , especially since it's getting hotter! read more

Do yourself a favor and come see it for yourself. Lack of mature trees is the only knock. Great kids play area with features not seen anywhere else. I personally love all the trails water feature they made. read more

This is a great park! its just off the 101 and 202 intersections (dobson and rio salado). This park is right next to the Mesa Riverview shopping complex and the Cubs spring training stadium. They have an area for families and kids as well as a water area that you can fish in and many walking paths. This is one of the best parks in the valley. read more

Went for the Del Sol Desert Classic soccer tournament. The field manager ran a really good tournament. Only a few hiccups but the were handled well. Thanks for the great experience. read more

I have not been to this park, but I drive past regularly and I frequently am compelled to roll up the windows because there is a very strong odor of wet dog or dead fish or something very unpleasant. read more

Love this park & it's perfect location!!! So many fun things to do!!! But it's often crowded so come with something to sit on & with your own shade!!! The trees aren't mature & don't offer much shade yet! But all my kids from 12-2 love this park!! read more

This has to be one of the best playgrounds of ever been to. They have a three-story climbing thing that adults can use. There is a water spray area. There are play things for kids of all ages. read more

This is an awesome park! It is the best park I think I have ever been to. The play structures are great and new. It has a small kids area, and a big kids area. The big kids area has a zipline, and a tunnel spinner as well as an awesome climbing structure. The park also has a nice size splash pad to cool off. The most interesting part of this park is the 50 foot high rope climbing structure! I was afraid to climb all the way up! The park is clean and has nice walking paths, a small lake and lots of grass to run in. The only negative I noticed was that the small children's playground had no shade and the slides were too hot to play on. Also because it is such a great park it was a bit crowded (though I did go on a Sunday afternoon). Overall excellent park and I will return :) read more

I am going to start off with the fact that me and my partner have been going here since we were in high school. The park had huge hills that we loved to just sit and have dinner picnics under the stars. We absolutely loved it. At this time it was next to a golf course and was very quite and peaceful. Then a couple years went by and we noticed everything was under construction. Now here is the funny part I was pregnant when this happened, and shortly after my daughter was born there was this whole new, more kid friendly park and baseball filed home of the CUBS!!!! It was such a huge coincidence. The park developed at the same time I was with child. Like God himself was like, (I know you like this park but now I will make it better for you and your family.) When we went for the first time we were in awe. So beautifully made no words can describe it. My daughter is now 3 and she loves it here. It brings me so much joy how happy she is here. I do have one down fall though. THERE IS NO DOG PARK!!!! Its such a huge park that they should add it somewhere on one of the fields. And another down fall is not enough parking due to some baseball games, but other than that I LOVE THIS PARK. read more

Alas, it was a brutally hot Friday afternoon and I had just picked up my kids from school. What lied ahead was sure to be lots of whining, rough housing (resulting in tears from at least one kid), and "I'm so bored!". Scanning my mind for something to keep them busy without breaking the bank, I thought of Riverview park and decided to check it out. All I have to say is, "Way to go, Mesa!". This park has tons- I mean tons- of fun water features with activities and sections for any age group, a huge climbing rope thing that made me quite nervous, and plenty of grass and shade to relax while the kids went crazy. This is a public park, so be prepared for huge crowds during the summer and that one group of unsupervised riff-raff teens that you can't quite escape from. Otherwise it was a fun, enjoyable afternoon. Any place that causes my kids to completely zonk out on the drive home gets bonus points in my book. read more
