I was disappointed there are no exercise machines/stations which is common at LA parks. A Ramada reservation glass had an old reservation notice that should have been removed. Another one was broken. While 2 maintenance staff were just standing around chit chatting, I pointed out to one a water fountain was inoperative(important since this is the hottest large metro in US with alot of seniors). The guy acted like I was bothering him and didn't seem to care. The Park is rundown and needs new grass.

There is an elementary school next door that has covers over their outdoor toys. There is a big soccer field, basketball court, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. There is a sidewalk that goes around...I haven't followed it around but I have seen kids riding backs and others walking with their dogs. There is ample seating throughout the park as well as three covered seating areas, two right next to the playgrounds. No bathrooms.

Just down the road from Sloan Park (Cub's stadium) and across the street from Mesa Riverview shopping area, it's very well situated. For locals and people living in the area, it's definitely frequented for fishing, using the playground, playing soccer or sports, and taking a nice walk. It's a clean and well maintained park. When the weather is nice, this is a great place to take a walk at sunset, around the small lake. I've seen some really nice skies and colors from the park. People are there year round fishing and there's a big playground area with a large climbing tower & splash pad towers at the north end of the park. Spread throughout that area are picnic ramadas w/ grills that are popular on the weekend. We walk our pups around when it's cooler outside. Summer months we don't usually walk over, even though we live close by, across the street. It's just too hot, even at night. Overall, it's a great park area and I look forward to when we come back regularly for our evening walks.

These soccer fields are located on the South side of Brown Rd in Mesa West of the loop 202…read more These fields are new so it is very difficult to find a map of the fields so I made one (see photo). It shows the orientation of the fields, the parking and entrances, and where the bathrooms (stars) are. There are entrances on the N, E, S, and W, as well as between fields 12 and 15 to get to the bathrooms. You should look at the map to see where to park. The grass fields are in good shape and the bathrooms are pretty new and clean. Just check my map so you know where to go. It also shows where they are compared to the original fields 1-6 which are SW of these fields.

Being from NYC this is our version of central park. I love the observatory which is open Friday…read moreand Saturday nights sunset till 9pm. It's free but donations are appreciated. They are rib by volunteers. The trails are clean, dogs welcome everywhere, horses in designated areas, camp sites also available to rent which come with bbq grills and pits along with space for tents. Check out their website for the info. This is a great park to take your kids to the playground, go fishing, get your steps in, take your dog food a walk or have a date. Many picture perfect spots which are popular for graduation, wedding, and birthday pics. I even saw a couple get married on the bridge at sunset a quick 5 minute ceremony to not hold up anyone. Parking in a few spots and adjacent to the library for extra parking. 2 bathrooms I've been to are clean and maintained. Water fountains also there.

The playground is very safe which I love, the only area that is high is the boulder rock, made for older kids, but small kids still want to climb on it and it is hard for me to get my toddler down since its tall. Lots of covered table areas. Public bathrooms. The lake is huge with fish and ducks. The only downside is that the lake is smelly every time I have gone here and could be a lot cleaner. Overall, love going for the playground for my toddler.
